Considering that crown forces kept doing it with the vetoes of colonial anti-slavery legislation, yes it does mean exactly that no matter how much it causes you chagrin and makes you want to stomp your little feet. You are simply wrong. You should accept it. You’re not going to outright say the veto actions plural did not occur. They did occur.

I can reference the original Virginia State Constitution, I can reference Jefferson’s original Declaration, I can reference many historians who do drive by shootings with the information but nonetheless they do state it, I can reference British Abolitionists who admit that the crown did these evil practices, and I can reference other original and third party reliable sources to prove that said veto actions plural took place harming our early American abolitionist efforts.

I have the upper hand here. I hate to state it to you that way but this is getting ridiculous on your part. You should let it go. You cannot win this one. The facts are too collected and easily compiled.

My argument is exactly that – that the idea that a Colonial American desire for abolition WAS being thwarted by London(and also its creature colonial governors), it WAS, and that this is by far the ultimate weapon we have against the 1619 Project instead of surrendering on “everybody was doing it” and smearing the Founders who don’t deserve to be besmirched as we tuck our tails inbetween our legs and run as fast as we can for the tall grass to hide.

I’m just not sure why this set of facts upsets you so much. They vetoed our laws. Why does it upset you so? The fact never goes away. It will always be there.

Since the fact never goes away, why fight so hard against it? What possibly could Pelham have to gain by fighting so hard against so confirmed and irrefutable of a fact as these veto actions plural?
