Immediately, the naysayers would say prophecy has nothing to do with politics. Nothing could be further from the truth. Here are three very simple truths:
- We have never been closer to the Second Coming of Christ than we are today. By close, I mean a short amount of time.
- The American public has never been so far from eschatological (Second Coming) truth as it is at this moment.
- Politics and prophecy are connected at the hip. Whatever the politicians do is going to lead to what prophecy says is going to happen. It is not likelihood; it is impossible to separate them. We could not possibly escape some result from what we just created through our system of voting. How do I know this? “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Gal 6:7
The important word here is impossible.
Why is 2028 so important?
I watched with bated breath to see the result of this midterm election. To me, it meant something as a writer, as a prophet, as a preacher, more than it does to most people.
It is stunning to me that the result of this election is not only huge but whatever it produces will do so all the way to the year 2028. Of course, in 2028 there is another election, and presidential election years usually favor Republicans.
The most amazing thing to me about the year 2028 is that it coincides with everything I have ever known about the “Sabbath Millennial Theory.”
I am reasonably certain that most people involved with their own lives, daily affairs, and politics don’t care much about a Sabbath Millennial theory, and of course they know even less about it. I wouldn’t expect anyone to hurry to read this article about it. Just let me say, I urge you: do not miss it. The article starts out with this title.
Sabbath Millennial Theory? Is it Theory, Prophecies, or Patterns?
The article intro says: Articles like this will never make it into the mainstream media, but between unbelief and apostasy in our day, we would not hold such an expectation.
The answer to the question in the title is – all three. There is theory, a lot of scripture, and a well-structured pattern produced by the events of God’s dispensational will, as it is revealed in time and space.
Jesus Christ said no man would know the day or the hour of his return (Mk 13:32) but, then Christ gave us the parable of the fig tree (Mt 24:32) which seems to allow that many will be able to see the approach of the last days as it nears. It is not the naming of a year, day, or an hour, but can be rightly explained as a “season.”
To be sure it would not pay to name a year, much less a day for the return of Christ, but the season is well underway and the church, the theologians and certainly the eschatologists are more aware of this today than at any other time in history.
The world couldn’t care less about prophecy so I don’t expect a flood of readers. But among the Christians, the curious, the honorable, those that either love God or are drawn to consider Him will read this article.
What is a dispensation?
Those who refine prophecy, who study it very seriously, understand about dispensations. In plain English, God is a dispensationalist.
That is to say, he does a certain thing for a time, and he moves on to something else. Contrary to some people’s opinion, God is not boring. To name just a few dispensations: the period of law, the period of grace, the period of Christ’s entrance into the world, the period known as the millennial kingdom, and there are others.
The most common mistake that Christians make in their descriptions of dispensations is to include Christ’s birth, life, death, and resurrection in the Church Age. That period of time is what we call the Age of Grace, which extends from the resurrection of Christ to the present day.
It must not and cannot be included in the Church Age. What does that mean? That means that although there are some variables about when the birth of Christ was, we know that his entire life and ministry would have gone from about 4 BC onward and would have ended at 28 AD.
So, from the beginning of the Church Age to 2028 is exactly 2,000 years.
Now you can go and read the article, but if you choose not to read it, I’ll give you the quick breakdown right here.
God does things in sevens. We expect him to give us six days to do what we have to do, and the seventh day is his. Well, that works for all of history.
- There have been 2,000 years between Adam and Abraham.
- There have been 2,000 years between Abraham and Jesus Christ.
- Now, there are exactly 2,000 years between the beginning of the Church Age in the Book of Acts, when the Holy Spirit fell and the church began, and 2028. That is 2,000 years.
Now, since the Apostle Peter told us that to the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as one day, in 2028, six days will have passed.
The seventh day, we are clearly told, Christ has returned to Earth and rules this Earth before eternity begins for exactly 1,000 years. That’s why it’s called the period of the Sabbath Millennial, the time of rest for the Earth.
You don’t need algebra to figure this out. You only need history, and you’ve had all of it you could possibly use to see what this means.
Now for the bad news
Here is the bad news: we are not saying that Christ returns in 2028.
What we are saying is that the Antichrist will be revealed in or about that time, he will begin a seven-year rule.
By the way, that 7-year rule is called a dispensation.
He is going to tear this world up.
He will come on like gangbusters. He’ll look good. He’ll sound good, and everybody will pick him as if he were the savior of the world.
He keeps it a secret, but in fact, he is the devil incarnate. Our Bibles tell us that he is completely guided by the god of this world, who inhabits him, who possesses him, and endows him with all the available worldly knowledge in this present world to lead the world to the edge of its own total annihilation.
“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” Mt 24:22
Will America choose a blessing or a curse?
Anti-Semitism is making a comeback both in the United States and all over the world. While this was prophesied to happen, it comes with a price. That price falls under the same principle we previously mentioned that is found in Galatians 6:7, but even more than that, it comes with a fair warning. Here are three special verses which indicate how serious that warning is.
Gen 12:2-3
“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
Gen 27:29
“Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.” Gen 27:29
Numbers 24:9
“…Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.”
Among those who won election yesterday in this country are several who are antisemites.
They are anti-Jewish, and they would end the relationship we have with Israel if they could.
I give fair warning: the day we end our relationship with Israel and cease to be their ally is the day a very dark cloud comes over America.
Three things we still have and will always have that are going for America
We should remember that while Talarico, who previously blasphemed Jesus Christ, may have won in Texas, he is not a king.
El Sayed, who won in Michigan, may think we deserved 9/11 and may support Hamas, but he is not a king.
All the socialists, communists, and Marxists that won in the recent elections are also not kings.
We can continue to fight tooth and nail, against everything they, the Democrats propose for this country, and we will.
We still have Donald Trump in office, and he has already spoken and promised to use the power of the veto to stop their nonsense in its tracks. We don’t need to boast of what he is going to do. We only need to remember he has always done what he said he would do.
Finally, we can continue to pray and ask God to deal with our leaders, to give them grace to promote what they’re proposing, or to stop them cold if need be. This is a power we’re called upon to exercise.
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
