With the discovery that the single-bullet theory is very probably a physical impossibility, it is perhaps appropriate to review the evidence of extra bullets and misses in Dealey Plaza. Since it now seems clear that the single-bullet theory is impossible, we can be very confident that more than one gunman fired at President Kennedy. We can also be virtually certain that, contrary to the lone-gunman theory, more than three bullets were fired during the shooting. This being the case, researchers need to take another look at the accounts of extra bullets striking in Dealey Plaza during the shooting, and to reconsider the implications of the subsequent finding of additional bullets and weapons in the area.

Extra Bullets and Weapons

* Among the files released by the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB) between 1994 and 1996 was an FBI evidence envelope (FBI Field Office Dallas 89-43-1A-122). Although the envelope was empty, the cover indicated it had contained a 7.65 mm rifle shell that had been found in Dealey Plaza after the shooting. The envelope is dated 2 December 1963, so the shell was found sometime between 11/22/63 and 12/2/63. Nothing was known about the discovery of this shell until the FBI evidence envelope was released along with other assassination-related files.

* Other documents released by the ARRB discuss a Johnson semi-automatic 30.06 rifle that was apparently suspected of having been used in the assassination. One can infer from the documents that the rifle might have even been found in Dealey Plaza, although the documents never actually say where the weapon was located on the day of the shooting. The documents strongly link this rifle to two men who have long been suspected of being involved in the assassination plot, Loran Hall and Jerry Patrick Hemming. The files also reveal that the FBI took a strong interest in the history and ownership of this rifle within hours of the shooting. A man named Richard Hathcock, who lived in California at the time, had kept the rifle in his office for a while. The day after the assassination, an FBI agent questioned him about the weapon. Among other things, the agent wanted to know if Hathcock had an employee named Roy Payne, who apparently knew a great deal about the rifle. In one of the released files, we read that Hathcock said the following:

It’s my opinion that the reason he [the FBI agent] wanted to see Mr. Payne was because Payne’s fingerprints undoubtedly were all over that rifle from his having handled it many times. It’s also my opinion that unless that particular rifle had been found [near the scene of the crime] or in some way involved in this whole thing [the assassination], that the FBI would have no interest in it. (HSCA 180-10107-10443)

This rifle had quite a history. It was used in CIA-connected anti-Castro raids in Cuba. Roy Payne said the weapon could “put a hole in a dime at 500 yards” (HSCA 180-10107-10440). Loran Hall and an unidentified Hispanic man took the weapon from Payne about a week before the assassination. Hall’s associate, Jerry Hemming, is known to have been in Dallas on the day of the shooting, and Hall himself told Hathcock five days prior to the assassination that he had to catch a flight to Dallas (HSCA 180-10107-10440).

* In 1975 a maintenance man named Morgan, while working on the roof of the County Records Building in Dealey Plaza, found a 30.06 shell casing lying under a lip of roofing tar at the base of the roof’s parapet on the side facing the plaza, according to his son, Dean Morgan. The shell casing is dated 1953 and marks on it indicate it was made at the Twin Cities Arsenal. One side of the casing has been pitted by exposure to the weather, suggesting that it was exposed on the roof for some time. The casing, which is still in Morgan’s possession, has an odd crimp around its neck (Marrs 317; Roberts 80-81).

Extra Misses

The term “extra misses” implies that one miss has already been documented. This miss is the bullet which struck the south Main Street curb in Dealey Plaza during the shooting. It landed about 25 feet from James Tague, who was standing next to the triple underpass. The bullet made a visible scar in the curb, and the mark was immediately recognized by those who saw it as a fresh bullet mark. (The mark might have been made by a sizeable fragment from a bullet that struck nearby.)

Warren Commission (WC) supporters strain to explain this mark. Most of them now deny it was made by a bullet. Instead, they say, it was caused by a fragment. But the closest bullet they can produce from which this fragment could have come is the missile that struck the President in the head at frame 312 in the Zapruder film. However, the mark on the curb was over 200 feet from the limousine’s position at Z312. In addition, a fragment from the head shot would have just finished plowing through a human skull, and, to make matters worse, would have had to somehow fly over the limo’s support bar and windshield just to clear the car.

Another theory has been advanced by Gerald Posner in his book CASE CLOSED. Posner opines that the sixth-floor gunman fired at around Z160, that this missile struck a branch of the intervening oak tree, that the lead core separated from the bullet’s jacket as a result of striking the tree branch, and that this lead fragment traveled over 400 feet and struck the curb! Even many WC supporters reject this forced, unlikely theory. The WC stated that the sixth-floor gunman would have had a clear view of the limousine until Z166 (see also CE 889).

Now, let us consider some of the accounts of extra misses striking in Dealey Plaza during the shooting:  

* Dallas policeman J. W. Foster, who was positioned on top of the triple underpass, saw a bullet strike the grass on the south side of Elm Street near a manhole cover, about 350 feet from the TSBD. He reported this to a superior officer and was instructed to guard the area (Shaw and Harris 72-75; Marrs 315).

Journalists and bystanders were kept at a distance from the spot where the bullet landed. An unidentified blond-haired man in a suit was photographed bending down, reaching out his left hand toward the dug-out point on the ground as if to pick up something, standing back up, apparently holding a small object in his hand, and then putting his hand in his pocket (Shaw and Harris 73-74). The hole made by the bullet was even photographed, and the picture appeared in the FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM on 11/23/63.

In his WC testimony, Officer Foster denied a bullet was recovered from near the manhole cover, though he did not explain what the man in the suit picked up and put into his pocket. Foster did, however, say that a bullet “had hit the turf there at that location [near the manhole cover].”

Contemporary press accounts reported that a bullet was retrieved from the dug-out hole in the grass near the manhole cover. For example, when the FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM published a photo of the hole in the grass, it included the following caption:

One of the rifle bullets fired by the murderer of President Kennedy lies in the grass across Elm Street. . . .

The next day the DALLAS TIMES HERALD, in referring to the hole in the grass, reported:

Dallas Police Lt. J. C. Day of the crime lab estimated the distance from the sixth-floor window . . . to the spot where one of the bullets was recovered at 100 yards.

Newsman Richard Dudman said the following about this miss and the recovered bullet in the 12/21/63 issue of the NEW REPUBLIC:

On the day the President was shot I happened to learn of a possible fifth [bullet]. A group of police officers were examining the area at the side of the street where the President was hit, and a police inspector told me they had just found another bullet in the grass.  

Richard Trask, dismissing all evidence to the contrary, argues that the blond-haired man did not pick up a bullet from the hole in the grass (Trask 497-498, 542-543). Trask rests his case almost totally on the fact that the two of the photographers who took pictures of the event, Jim Murray and Bill Allen, later denied that a bullet was found. But neither Murray nor Allen could say positively that a bullet was NOT found; rather, they simply did not BELIEVE that a bullet had been found. Nor did either of them explain exactly what it was that the unidentified man picked up and put in his pocket. Trask concedes that the photographic record of the event does not refute the accounts of a bullet being recovered from the hole in the grass. He also acknowledges that in the photos the left hand of the unidentified man in the suit is “cupped” after he stands up, which would certainly suggest he was holding something.

Murray said he accepted “the later speculation” that the hole and accompanying mound in the grass were made by “brain matter from Kennedy’s skull.” Are we to believe that the unidentified man in the suit picked up brain matter and put it in his pocket? If the hole was made by brain matter, why did the Dallas police maintain a guard over the hole for the next several hours? Why did not a single police or FBI report mention the finding of brain matter at this location? And what about the credible contemporary accounts that a bullet was recovered from the hole in the grass? What’s more, how would brain matter from Kennedy’s skull have made it all the way to that location, much less to have arrived there with enough force to dig into the grass?

Allen said he didn’t believe a bullet was found because neither Walthers, Foster, nor the blond-haired man specifically mentioned having just picked up a bullet after the man stood up. But this was surely a rather weak reason for concluding the man didn’t pick up a bullet. Furthermore, as mentioned, when newsman Richard Dudman entered the area at the side of Elm Street where the President had been shot, a police inspector informed him that they had “found another bullet in the grass.” In point of fact, the discovery of the bullet in the grass near the manhole cover was photographed and widely reported in the press. It was, however, quickly dismissed and then ignored by federal investigators because they were already committed to a scenario of only three shots fired by a lone gunman from the sixth floor of the Book Depository Building.

In the photos taken of this event, i.e., the finding and removal of the bullet, one can see Officer Foster and a civilian-clothed Deputy Sheriff Buddy Walthers standing over the spot where the bullet landed, along with the unidentified man in the suit. It has been suggested that the man was a federal agent of some kind. Given the man’s dress and appearance, this is not an unreasonable suggestion. Dallas police chief Jesse Curry believed the man was an FBI agent, and some researchers have tentatively identified the man as FBI Agent Robert Barrett.

As mentioned, the identity of the blond-haired man is unknown. The recovered bullet was never entered into evidence, and its present whereabouts are not known.

* Officer Foster also reported that a bullet struck the concrete part of the abovementioned manhole cover. It is not known if this was the same missile that made the dug-out hole in the grass a few feet from the manhole cover. The bullet might have skipped off the manhole cover and then imbedded itself in the grass. Or, the mark on the concrete could have been made by a separate bullet, and thus would represent another miss fired from the same approximate location. The sewer cover and the hole in the turf were about 3-5 feet apart, and the latter was farther down the side of Elm Street (that is, it was slightly farther away from the TSBD than was the sewer cover).

About two and a half hours after the shooting, Dealey Plaza witness John Martin came across the mark on the manhole cover. He immediately identified it as a bullet mark. He then told a policeman, “you better get your boss down here to check this thing out, because that will show where the bullet came from” (Trask 573).

Researchers have noted that the photo of the mark indicates it did NOT come from the TSBD. The mark can be seen on the twelfth photo page in the second set of photographs in Harrison Livingstone and Robert Groden’s book HIGH TREASON. One can readily see that the angle of the mark does not line up with the Book Depository, but that it does line up with the County Records Building. It might be worth recalling that a 30.06 rifle cartridge casing was later found on the roof of the County Records Building.

* Just after President Kennedy’s limousine passed the front steps of the TSBD, five witnesses saw a bullet strike the pavement on Elm Street near the right rear of the limousine. Witnesses saw this bullet kick up concrete toward the car (Weisberg 187-189; cf. Posner 324; Moore 198) (Posner attempts to explain this miss with his bullet-limb-collision theory.)

* Within a day or two of the assassination, Dallas resident Eugene Aldredge saw a dug-out, four-inch-long bullet mark in the middle of the sidewalk on the north side of Elm Street, which is the side nearest the TSBD. Aldredge did not tell the FBI about the mark until shortly after the release of the WARREN COMMISSION REPORT because he assumed, logically enough, that the mark had surely been noticed by law enforcement officials and would be discussed in full in the Commission’s report. When he realized that the mark apparently had been “overlooked,” he immediately contacted the FBI and told them about it (Weisberg 383-390). Aldredge related to the FBI that Carl Freund, a reporter for the DALLAS MORNING NEWS, had also identified the mark as a bullet mark.

Less than a week after Aldredge informed the FBI of the mark’s existence and location, he took a friend to see it. They found the mark, but saw that it had been altered–it had been filled in. Said Aldredge,

. . . we went to the site and found the mark, [which was] formerly about 1/4 inch deep, had been filled in with what appeared to be a mixture of concrete and asbestos. . . .

A crude attempt had been made to make the altered mark appear to be weather-worn to match the surrounding concrete.

In its report on the mark, the FBI admitted to locating it and described it as being approximately 4 inches long, 1/2 inch wide, and “dug out.” And why did the FBI dismiss the significance of this mark? Because, explained the Bureau, it could not have been made by a shot from the window from which Oswald allegedly fired.

Would these misses require us to believe that a veritable mob was shooting at Kennedy, as some WC defenders suggest? Not at all. Bullets fired lower elevations and from other buildings in Dealey Plaza, such as the grassy knoll, the County Records Building, and the second floor of the Dal-Tex Building, could have barely missed Kennedy’s head and then landed in the plaza. A 1999 trajectory test in Dealey Plaza, using lasers, determined that shots could have been fired from the second-floor window of the Dal-Tex Building.

A rapid 14-day environmental review has seen a new uranium mine approved in Utah. The endorsement is part of a refreshed Trump administration process to fast-track permissions for energy and mining projects.

The Velvet-Wood uranium project received a green light on Friday. It is owned and operated by the Canadian company Anfield Energy.

The approval tick comes 11 days after the Interior Department ordered the Bureau of Land Management to review the mine’s environmental impacts within two weeks, as opposed to the prior timeline of months or years.

The dynamic new approach has been expected since President Donald Trump declared a national energy emergency back in January and reversed previous mining restrictions embraced by his Democrat predecessor.

From talk of acquiring Greenland and its vast mineral wealth to prodding Ukraine for minerals in exchange for help fending off Russia’s invasion, Trump has made the raw materials that drive modern life a pillar of his policies – foreign and domestic.

“This approval marks a turning point in how we secure America’s mineral future,” said Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum in a statement as seen by the Salt Lake Tribune.

“By streamlining the review process for critical mineral projects like Velvet-Wood, we’re reducing dependence on foreign adversaries and ensuring our military, medical and energy sectors have the resources they need to thrive.

“This is mineral security in action.”

Elon Musk said he is “disappointed” by the costs of President Donald Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill” passed by Republicans in the House last week.

“I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing,” Musk told “CBS Sunday Morning” in an exclusive broadcast interview

The remarks by Musk, who recently stepped back from running the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, are in contrast to Trump, who backed the legislation, which still needs Senate approval.

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act passed 215 to 214 in the House. All Democrats and two Republicans, Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, voted against the bill. House Freedom Caucus Chair Andy Harris, R-Md., voted “present.”

The bill is a victory for Trump and House Republicans, who overcame policy disagreements to deliver on Trump’s key campaign promises, including an extension of his 2017 tax cuts and no tax on tips, overtime and Social Security. 

It aims to cut roughly $1.5 trillion in government spending. The U.S. government is still more than $36 trillion in debt and has spent $1.05 trillion more than it has collected in the 2025 fiscal year, according to the Treasury Department.

The bill still faces hurdles. 

The Senate is tasked with passing its own version. Republican leaders are hoping to send the bill to Trump’s desk by the Fourth of July.

In these last few days people have asked me what I think about the new Pope Leo XIV? As a priest and pastor, one of my most important priorities is to protect the sheep from the wolf, that is, to try to be a “good shepherd” ready to “lay down my life for the sheep” (Jn 10:11; 1Pt 5:1-4), and thus to warn the souls of the many dangers and traps today in this period of the great apostasy before the manifestation of the Antichrist (2Thess ch2) when “if possible, even the elect” (Mt 24:24) will be led astray. Few priests do this today because most priests seek to please people who want to only hear things the way they want things and do not want to hear about the necessity to carry the cross of Christ in their lives and they do not want to hear about the existence of the devil, hell or sin. I responded to them with THREE main points.

1) The FIRST POINT that I offer is that Jesus told us: “You will know them by their fruits” (Mt 7:15-20). Jesus did not say “you will know them by their leaves”, which would be their nice words!

BUT IT TAKES TIME TO SEE THE ACTUAL FRUITS, so let us wait until we see the actual fruits. Unfortunately very few people today have any idea about the difference between good fruits and bad fruits. Very few Catholics today know their catechism or even the most fundamental tenets of their faith. When I ask priests of my diocese of Perugia, Italy – Does the Truth come from God or from the Church? – they do not know how to respond! This is why the Antichrist will so easily be able to manipulate the great majority of people well immersed into subjectivism. Moreover, the techniques of brainwashing with the TV and mass media have been very highly developed.

People today have been led and brainwashed to not recognize or to outright reject the beam of light from the Light House in our present day storm of confusion, that is, the Truth of God that does not change with the world. If a person speaks nice, they say: “oh how nice”! If a person speaks the uncomfortable Truth, they say: “what an idiot”! Not only has the great majority of Catholics forgotten their catechism and the fundamental principles and Truths of their precious faith, but we are totally surrounded today by the atmosphere of RELATIVISM, which means every person become the source of truth and interpretation of truth, not GOD! Thus we must be reminded that the fundamental criteria of determining good fruits from bad fruits is to bring these fruits before the Truth of God which does not change with the truth of the world which changes continuously according to the whims and arrogance of men. In this way we can see if the fruits are in harmony, or not in harmony, with the documents of the Church and the writings of the saints which are well summarized in the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults (CCC); ed. 1992, promulgated by Pope John Paul II (http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_INDEX.HTM). The Truth of God sets us free (Jn 8:32). The false truth of the father of lies, Satan (Jn 8:44) offers us pleasure and pride today, but afterwards slavery here on earth and for eternity.

A very powerful weapon of Freemasonry, together with the various groups of the superrich such as the Bildeb*rger group, in controlling and manipulating the people is SECULAR FEMINISM, which in many ways, has succeeded in putting aside the man as the protector of the family, the Church and society. As God made us, men tend to reason with their INTELLECT and LOGIC whereas women tend to reason with the HEART. Thus women are more susceptible and influenced by nice sounding words and less inclined to distinguish between good fruits and bad fruits, between fruits that lead to the true and lasting good of people or to harming people and even leading people away from God and toward hell. Thus the superrich have spent tremendous amounts of money, that they covertly stole from us, to promote secular feminism, the so-called, nice-sounding, “women’s liberation”, so that it becomes much more difficult for the general public to discover the truth of how we are being SWINDLED and even BRAINWASHED and led to where we do not want to go!!! “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2Cor 11:14). Just as we have been brainwashed to seek to be liberated from God and to believe that God is not love but evil, and to believe that God gave us the Ten Commandments for our harm and not for our good, so too, women have been brainwashed to seek to be liberated from men who by the design of God, if they pray, protect their wives, families and society, which today is greatly lacking! It is amazing today how Satan, using his very numerous puppets and the motors of the culture (mass media, schools, religious institutions), have overturned the truth so as to convince the great majority that God is bad and Satan is good. In Sacred Scripture we find that GOD loves his creatures immensely and is the “Prince of Peace” (Is 9:6), whereas SATAN, who rebelled against God and who hates us and wants our total destruction is “the father of lies” (Jn 8:44) and “the prince of the world” (Jn 12:31; 14:30; Rev 12:9)! “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil” (Is 5:20).

Studies have shown that women are MORE EASILY MANIPULATED by the highly controlled mainstream media than men since women are more worried about human respect and being out of step with others. Even in the Catholic Church, secular feminism is at least just as widespread and strong. Women are presented in the mainstream media as the points of reference for guidance and leadership instead of the man as it was in the past from Biblical and Christian tradition.

“THE HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, AND DESPERATELY CORRUPT; who can understand it?” (Jer 17:9; Jms 1:26; Heb 3:10; Ps 95:10). This is one of the reasons why Divine Revelation tells us that the husband is the head of the family and the wife is the heart of the family. This is also the reason why Freemas0nry promotes secular feminism so as to overturn God’s perfect design and to obscure the real strategy and goal of the superrich of the world.

Freemas0nry has worked hard to promote “POLITICAL CORRECTNESS”. “Political correctness”, of course, is established by Freemasonry which controls the mainstream media. Under the guise of equal rights and false prejudice, has confused and destroyed the God-given roles of men and women for healthy families and a healthy society. Freemas0nry, guided by its hidden master, Satan, knows the power of subconscious suggestion and highly sophisticated manipulation by the mainstream media to reverse the God-given roles of men and women and to put the woman as the head and point of reference on TV shows, newscasts and movies. Today it is very politically incorrect to point this out, and even seen as prejudice and bigotry. People say this is not important, but it is a very important priority of Freemas0nry and the superrich to promote secular feminism. Do we think we are intelligent and Satan is stupid? Unfortunately a great number of women very easily drank this devastating poison of secular feminism which satisfies ones pride, which is the fundamental temptation that Satan offers us.

The NEWSCASTER is supposed to ask questions to bring out what he or she wants to bring out. The man, by nature, will bring out possible dangers to the family and the society. IN GOD’S INFINITELY WISE DESIGNS, the man tends to reason with his head while the woman tends to reason with her heart. Man should listen to the heart but make the final decisions with his head. God created man and woman complimentary, equal in dignity with different roles of mutual service and love, not power and strife as Satan wants and promotes. Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen said: “We live in a sensate age. We are no longer governed by faith, we are no longer governed by reason. We are governed by feelings”.

BY NATURE, GOD HAS GIVEN TO MEN THE VOCATION TO PROTECT THE WIFE, FAMILY AND SOCIETY, while the woman looks at the details of the persons and the family. In God’s plan, the woman inspires her husband and the husband inspires the children and thus the society. Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen wrote: “To a great extent the level of any civilization is the level of its womanhood. When a man loves a woman, he has to become worthy of her. The higher her virtue, the more her character, the more she is devoted to truth, justice and goodness, the more a man has to aspire to be worthy of her. The history of civilization could actually be written in terms of the level of its women.”

All the popes up until Pope Francis have told us that we are NOT Catholic if we pick and choose from the Teachings of the Church. POPE JOHN PAUL II (AMONG MANY OTHER OCCASIONS) SPOKE FIRMLY TO THE US BISHOPS AGAINST THIS “PICK AND CHOOSE SMORGASBORD TYPE CATHOLICISM” in LA in his September 1987 visit: “It is sometimes reported that a large number of Catholics today do not adhere to the teaching of the Church on a number of questions, notably sexual and conjugal morality, divorce and remarriage. Some are reported as not accepting the Church’s clear position on abortion. It has also been noted that there is a tendency on the part of some Catholics to be selective in their adherence to the Church’s moral teachings. It is sometimes claimed that dissent from the Magisterium is totally compatible with being a “good Catholic” and poses no obstacle to the reception of the sacraments. THIS IS A GRAVE ERROR that challenges the teaching office of the bishops of the United States and elsewhere. Even the priests in my diocese of Perugia, Italy did not learn in their seminary formation that THE TRUTH COMES FROM GOD, NOT FROM THE CHURCH. This fallacious formation prepares the way for the false prophet, the false pope, who will transform the Church into a counterfeit church emptied of its divine content. But as Christ intended, the Church is the servant of the Truth, not the Author of the Truth (Jn 14:6). The Church must protect and defend the precious gift of the Truth, not modify or change the truth in a hidden sly way to please the world. Thus no priest, bishop or POPE can change the Truth of Divine Revelation given by God throughout the history of mankind, infallibly explained by the Catholic Church, and is well summarized in the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults (CCC); ed. 1992, promulgated by Pope John Paul II (http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_INDEX.HTM).

More than 60 years ago, ECCLESIASTICAL MAS0NRY, with the help of many Mas0nic bishops and cardinals, entered into a great number of Catholic seminaries and universities to fundamentally change, in a very sly and hidden way, the theological and philosophical teachings of the Catholic Church. This was done in a very intelligent way, printing many books and pamphlets, including APPEALING TO THE PRIDE OF THE YOUNG STUDENTS in that we can interpret reality and truth according to ourselves, instead of having the humility to seek the proper interpretation according to God found in Divine Revelation explained in the documents of the Catholic Church and in the writings of the saints for 2000 years. In most Catholic seminaries today there is no longer offered courses on logic or metaphysics which helps young seminarians to think logically so as to be able to distinguish between right and wrong; there is instead promoted relativism in a disguised way. For example, these poor seminarians are brainwashed to believe what was condemned by the Church more than 50 years ago, “Situation Ethics”, which is a derivative of modernism. Situation Ethics basically promotes the human subjective interpretation in each situation instead of the Divine interpretation in each situation which can be discovered in the teachings of the Church and in the writing of the saints. Most priests and bishops today no longer know what the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church on faith and morals and thus normally react negatively to someone who tries to explain the most basic tenants of our faith, such as the truth comes from the Creator, not from the creatures, and not even from the Church! The Department of Education (ED) under the Biden administration used an obscure hiring gimmick to bring in nearly 200 attorneys while pushing radical policies that faced persistent legal opposition.

The Biden administration used the Schedule A hiring process, which provides an expedited path by bypassing the usual competitive process and negating the requirement that appointments be made based on merit. ED hired 193 attorneys from Jan. 20, 2021 through April 30, 2024 mostly staffing the department’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR), according to documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request by Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT) and shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Schedule A positions are not required to be publicly posted, according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The appointments through this system do not expire at the end of the president’s term.

“We uncovered other agencies during the Biden administration that used Schedule A hiring authority to staff the ranks of career officials outside the normal competitive process, often in politicized offices or offices working on highly contentious issues,” Michael Chamberlain, director of PPT, told the DCNF. “The Department of Education looks to have used this same authority to bulk up its Office for Civil Rights with career attorneys, stocking one of the most political offices in the department. OCR, by the way, worked on the administration’s massive (and unpopular) rewrite of Title IX regulations. It’s little wonder why the American public lost so much trust in its government during this time.”

While Schedule A is often used to hire employees with disabilities, the list supplied by ED excluded these hires at PPT’s request.

Several other department hires were also employed through the Schedule A process, including program specialists and administrative officers, the documents show.

Former President Joe Biden’s education department pushed several controversial policies, such as rewriting Title IX, a civil rights rule meant to protect women from discrimination, to include gender identity. The rule was challenged several times in courts before eventually being dropped and later blocked and vacated in a federal court.

Another education policy that met with legal friction was Biden’s attempt to forgive student loans. Numerous courts have struck down the administration’s plans to wipe away the debt of nearly 40 million Americans, including the Supreme Court, which ruled in 2023 that Biden’s use of executive power was unconstitutional. However, the former president found several loopholes to forgive billions in debt, such as for federal employees.

Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) previously used Schedule A to hire well over 100 immigration judges for its Immigration Review division just months before President Donald Trump assumed office.

ED did not immediately respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

They are in the country to live off the largesse the generous French welfare state provides: free or greatly subsidized housing, free medical care, free education including language lessons and vocational training, family allowances, and more. They are happy to pocket all this, and in no hurry to be employed. Instead, “pour finir le mois” — to “round out the month” — in case what they receive from the state is not enough, they turn to crime: street muggings and robberies, home burglaries, shoplifting, and drug trafficking. And since French girls and women are non-Muslims, and thus among the “most vile of created beings” (Qur’an 98:6), and furthermore, because they wear what Muslims interpret as come-hither clothes that show they are just “asking for it,” Muslim rapes of French girls and women have skyrocketed. And that is why, according to the latest poll, 80% of French women want the army to be called out to protect them against Muslim males, especially those hanging about city centers where they engage in drug-trafficking, and at the same time harass, and in some cases sexually molest, them.

Hello. This is Victor Davis Hanson for The Daily Signal. Recently, Kash Patel, who’s been under fire by the Left in a variety of ways, the new FBI director, he announced that he is shutting down the J. Edgar Hoover Building in Washington, D.C., where there’s about 1,500 employees, as I understand it.

There was a lot of outrage. But remember that this was not his original decision. It was the decision during the Biden administration of then-FBI Director Christopher Wray that this 50-year-old building was unsuitable. It was decrepit.

But what was more interesting, in addition to thinking he was going to shut down the building, we don’t know where he wants to relocate the headquarters.

I would prefer—I think some of you—if he put it in Kansas City or somewhere away from the proverbial deep state in Washington. He also said he didn’t understand, of the 35,000 employees, why a third were in Washington. Washington, as dangerous as it can be, does not account for a third of all crimes.

So, he’s trying to disperse or recalibrate the FBI. And are we going to lament the closure of that office and what it represents symbolically? I don’t think so.

Robert Mueller, a former FBI director, was the head of the Special Counsel’s Office. Remember that? And he had the dream team—the all-stars, a hunter/killer team—with the Left. He was almost giddy about that they were gonna get President Donald Trump on Russian collusion. Forty million dollars, 20 months later, they didn’t find anything.

We found all sorts of improprieties within that investigation. Andrew Weissmann and others cleaned their cellphones so that no one could see their text messages. We had Peter Strzok and Lisa Page dismissed from the investigation because of their notorious and now infamous tweets.

We had Robert Mueller go before the House Intelligence Committee and claim that he didn’t know what the Steele dossier was nor what Glenn Simpson’s Fusion GPS was. That was impossible. Those were the two catalysts that prompted his own appointment.

His successor was James Comey. He’s in the news right now for that weird tweet where he said he was walking on the beach and he saw “8647”—get rid of Trump; or maybe, you know, kill Trump; or whatever “86” can mean, it can mean a lot of stuff—and he didn’t understand it. But he’s also got a novel coming out right now about a supposed right-wing celebrity who threatens people and then something happens to the people he threatened. Was this a stunt for his book? I don’t know, but it’s in line with his character.

He went before the same House Intelligence Committee on 245 occasions. He pled either “I don’t know” or “I can’t recall” or “I don’t have that information” or “I shouldn’t give you that information.” Two hundred and forty-five times.

He was the one that set up Michael Flynn and bragged about how naive Michael Flynn was not to have an attorney when he sent agents in to ambush him on the Logan Act. My gosh, nobody ever invokes that.

He was the person who lied to Donald Trump and said, “We don’t have an investigation of you, Mr. President.” And then he went out and recorded that conversation. He did have an investigation. And then he had a third party leak it to The New York Times.

He was the one who hired Christopher Steele. He was an FBI contractor. They used the Steele dossier, which was fraudulent, to get FISA court warrants to, I think, unproperly and unlawfully spy on people like Carter Page. That same office gave us Kevin Clinesmith, the FBI lawyer who doctored a FISA email to spy on Carter Page.

That same office then gave us the successor to James Comey, interim Director Andrew McCabe. He lied four times, the inspector general said, to federal authorities and three of them were under oath, which was a basis for his firing.

He was followed by Christopher Wray. Why was he spying on parents at school board meetings? Why was he spying on what they called “radical-traditional Catholics”? Why did they go after abortion protesters, but not in the same way people who were protesting pro-life?

And why did they do the Mar-a-Lago raid? Why did they go in there with props and special files and scattered the files on the ground, where they were not there when they came, and then take pictures of them and add a little “classified”? Why did they take away 13,000 documents? And out of the 13,000 documents, they only found 102 that were classified, 0.007%. I could go on with Christopher Wray. This is what he gave us.

Today, even with President Trump’s victory, leftist elites have their tentacles in every aspect of our government.

Alan Dershowitz, who taught at Harvard Law School for 50 years, said Tuesday on Newsmax that he hasn’t been invited back to the school in the 11 years since he became an emeritus professor, as “they only want to hear the view of people who support their narrative.”

“I’ve become essentially persona non grata at Harvard,” Dershowitz told Newsmax’s “Wake Up America,” during an interview in which he accused the Ivy League university of tolerating antisemitism. “Harvard does not want to hear my views on Israel or my views defending [President] Donald Trump against improper lawfare.”

That also means he won’t be attending Thursday’s graduation ceremonies, where he said he expects anti-Israel protests to disrupt the proceedings.

The one time I was invited back, my speech had to be moved off campus for fear of my own safety,” Dershowitz said. “This is a school I taught at for 50 years, taught 10,000 students. I was one of the most popular professors, but once I defended Donald Trump and started to defend Israel vocally, I have been canceled and cut off from Harvard. So no, I will not be at the Harvard graduation.”

Dershowitz’s comments come as the Trump administration continues to ramp up its pressure on Harvard, including its latest move to cancel some $100 million in federal grants to the institution.

On Tuesday, Dershowitz called on Harvard to reach a deal “whereby they admit they’ve done things that are terrible.”

He added that Harvard’s schools for public health and divinity should be put “into a kind of receivership where they are under the control of the central administration so they can’t be using the money the federal government sends to Harvard to preach this horrible hate.”

Harvard, he said, is “teaching, encouraging, and fomenting antisemitism” in several of its schools.

“The Divinity School recently elected as class marshal one of the thugs who attacked a Jewish student and harassed them on campus and was supposed to be disciplined for it,” said Dershowitz. “The Harvard Law School gave a $65,000 scholarship to another one of the students who harassed and tried to assault a Jewish student at Harvard. These schools are teaching things like intersectionality, critical race theory, and DEI, all of which are incubators for antisemitism.”

He also said the teaching and support of antisemitism at Harvard and elsewhere are driving violence, such as the killings last week of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, D.C.

“I defended a lot of protesters in the 60s and 70s, and I wrote, I predicted in my book ‘The Preventive State’ that we would see the kind of killings that we saw in the District of Columbia, because I knew from my experience that when you encourage violent protests of the kind we’ve seen on campuses, the line between violent protests and taking a gun and killing somebody is a very, very thin one,” he added.

Dershowitz also said that he has been told to double his personal security, “because any prominent Jew who is a supporter of Israel today, or a prominent Christian who’s a supporter of Israel, has a target on their back.”

Meanwhile, Dershowitz said he does think the administration is “overgeneralizing” in some of the steps it has taken, including stopping all foreign students from coming to Harvard.

“After all, there are some students from Britain, from Israel, from other places that are coming in to study,” said Dershowitz. “They shouldn’t be defunding cancer research and other research. There should be targeted defunding and targeted denial of Visas. That makes a lot of sense.”

Republicans have the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) in their crosshairs, according to a Politico report that states the GOP has united against the independent legislative branch agency that monitors for wrongdoing within the federal government.

The GAO has repeatedly faulted the Trump administration as having illegally withheld money appropriated by Congress, opening almost 40 separate inquiries into whether President Donald Trump’s funding freezes have violated the law. Last week, the agency issued an opinion finding that the administration illegally withheld money appropriated for electric-vehicle infrastructure.

White House Office of Management and Budget director Russ Vought criticized the agency’s findings in a social media post saying, “They are going to call everything an impoundment because they want to grind our work to manage taxpayer dollars effectively to a halt. These are non-events with no consequence. Rearview mirror stuff.”

This week, Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso, R-Wyo., dismissed the agency’s authority in an opinion piece ahead of a vote on waivers to allow California to set its own pollution standards, a move that the GAO had concluded the Senate could not make with just a majority vote.

“The bureaucrats at the GAO can’t dictate the actions of the U.S. Senate or the will of the voters,” Barrasso wrote in The Wall Street Journal. “My colleagues can safely disregard the office’s decision in this case.”

Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., criticized Republicans for casting doubts on the GAO’s authority and accusing the agency of bias, noting on the floor of the Senate that “there are senators serving in this chamber, Republicans and Democrats, who have made use of the exact same process by going to the GAO. There have been more than 20 different opinions delivered by the GAO at the request of Republican senators and members of Congress in the last three decades.”

A spokesperson for the agency said in a statement that the GAO’s mission is to provide “nonpartisan, fact-based information to Congress to help it carry out its constitutional legislative, appropriations, and oversight functions and protect the power of the purse. Our legal decisions do not take a position on the policy goals of a program, they only examine the procedural issues and compliance with the law.”
