Leak Shows Karen Bass Ordered Police to Stand Down

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is facing mounting backlash after a leaked report revealed she had ordered the LAPD to stand down during violent riots, leaving federal officers without critical backup as the situation spiraled out of control..

when DHS and FBI requested assistance because they were overwhelmed by rioters, LAPD sat idle waiting for direction. Instead of allowing the Incident Commander to act, Mayor Karen Bass bypassed established protocol

By personally directing operations, Bass functioned as a de facto Incident Commander, in direct conflict with the City’s Emergency Operations Plan and National Incident Management System (NIMS) protocols. This breach of the chain of command prevented the Incident Commander from making crucial operational decisions, put DHS officers, FBI agents, and community members at risk, and delayed immediate LAPD support.”

This unprecedented political interference demands a federal investigation into potential endangerment of federal personnel and obstruction of emergency response.”

Moms who Chose Abortion talk Face to Face with Fathers who had no Choice

The second season of Live Action’s “Face to Face” series continues, and in the latest episode, brings together two groups of post-abortive parents.

In a discussion facilitated by Live Action founder and president Lila Rose, women who had abortions against the wishes of their babies’ fathers speak about their experiences with men whose wanted children were aborted.

“He begged me not to do it”

Sara Boling got pregnant unexpectedly, and terrified of her mother’s reaction, got an abortion — something pushed on her by everyone around her, except for her boyfriend and his mother. But she “thought [abortion] was normal” and said Planned Parenthood “made it really easy, and said if you don’t tell the father, if you don’t tell your parents, we can help you. [I was] 17 years old. I just said okay.”

The father of the baby was her high school sweetheart, and she thought they would be together forever. “He, along with his mom, begged me not to do it. She told me she would take me in,” she said. “She told me she would help as much as she could. And I was just scared.”

All of Boling’s friends and other trusted adults told her to have the abortion, saying a baby would ruin her life. Meanwhile, the staffers at Planned Parenthood told her the baby was just a clump of cells, not a human being. She was well into her second trimester of pregnancy at the time. It was years later before she learned what really happened to her child.

Now, 20 years later, she still struggles with post-abortive regret, though she said she knows she will see her child in Heaven. She mentors young adults now, so they won’t feel forced to make the decision she did.

“I never really had closure with the father,” she said. “I don’t know how he really feels. After that, it was over. I just — my guilt, I couldn’t allow myself to be loved by him anymore. And I just ended it.”

“I stole fatherhood…”

Melissa Manion was already a single mother when she got pregnant for the second time. And at first, she and her new boyfriend planned to raise the baby together. She said the young man was kind to her and they had planned to have the baby despite having dated for just three months.

“I told everyone, and then I just… I got scared. I thought, ‘I just got on my feet. I have a son that I need to take care of. I don’t love him. I don’t know what to do.’ And instead of speaking to him about it, I spoke to some friends who had had abortions, and in an instant, I changed my mind.”

She called Planned Parenthood and made an appointment for the very next day; when the father came home, she told him directly that she was having an abortion, and there was nothing he could do about it.

“He became really erratic, and was crying and begging me, please not to do this,” she said. “And I don’t really remember a lot of it. It’s – trauma will do that. I just remember, somewhere subconsciously, thinking, this is my right…. I truly gave no thought to the fact that this wasn’t my child alone, that it took two people to create this life. It shouldn’t take one to be able to end it. And so I told him to leave and I have never seen him again since.”

“I stole fatherhood from a completely innocent and kind man, along with ending the life of my child,” she added.

“It’s not your decision”

The conversation then shifted to the men’s perspectives.

Gregory Mayo said he was 18 when his first child was aborted, which he did not want. “I protested, but in the way a scared, unsure 18-year-old kid does. And so when her mom said, ‘Well, this is going to happen anyway,’ I thought, ‘Okay, what does everybody say I’m supposed to do? Well, I’m supposed to go be supportive.’ So I went with her…. I remember the overall feeling of just being scared, and what are we doing, and this is one of those things you can’t undo. And then she came out, and I saw it on her face immediately… something was gone. And then I decided to — not consciously — but decided, I’m just not going to deal with emotions right now.”

That relationship ended not long after, and a few years later, another girlfriend got pregnant. She, too, decided to have an abortion. He tried harder this time, offering to marry her, or even take and raise the baby on his own, but she refused. When nothing worked, he told her was going to drive 16 hours to be there with her, and she said not to bother; it wouldn’t be in enough time to stop the abortion appointment early the next morning.

He went on to have other children, but the loss of his first two children affected him for the next 10 years until he found healing.

“I felt truly powerless”

Sean Corcoran was the last member of the panel to share his story. When his girlfriend got pregnant, he immediately began trying to figure out how it would affect his life, and how they would handle it. “She stopped me and she said, ‘Well, I’m not going to have the baby; I’m going to have an abortion.’ And that was counter to everything that I was raised to believe,” he said. “I argued against it. I can’t remember the exact conversations, but it got to the point where my dad drove nine hours to be there the next day.”

“And the last thing I remember saying on the phone to her was screaming at the top of my lungs, ‘Please don’t kill my baby!’…. [S]he said, ‘It’s not a baby, and it’s not your decision,’” he recalled. “And she hung up, and I was in a panic. I just remember screaming and yelling at the top of my lungs, and throwing stuff around my apartment.”

His girlfriend’s mother also flew in, but unlike Corcoran’s parents, she supported the abortion. His parents offered to adopt the baby, but they remained unmoved, and his girlfriend went through with the abortion, because she and her family thought pregnancy would ruin her chances to graduate from college.

“This was the first time in my life that I felt truly powerless, that there was just not a solution,” he said. “I sat in my dorm room for the remainder of that semester. Didn’t go to class, didn’t go to take tests.” And his troubles only got worse.

“I failed out of college. I ended up in a seven-year methamphetamine addiction. I was homeless, unemployed, and it wasn’t until I was in treatment that I was able, through the counselors, to connect the dots that this is the void I was trying to fill with the drugs, with the addiction, with all the other destructive behavior that comes along with that.”

Our Fiery but Mostly Peaceful Foreign Invasion

We all knew that this was coming.  When voters came out in force last November to make sure that President Trump’s margin of victory exceeded Democrats’ systemic fraud, it was obvious what would happen next.  Democrats would do what Marxist globalists and Western Intelligence agencies have been doing across the world for many years: instigate riots, mayhem, sabotage, and general rebellion.

As any thinking person now understands, whenever the powers that be don’t get the election results they want, they just foment revolution and work to overturn the will of the people (see Victoria Nuland and the U.S. State Department’s Ukrainian coup d’état circa 2014).  Britain’s Establishment has undermined the Brexit vote, imported new Islamic voters, and locked up any native citizens who express outrage online.  France and Romania prosecuted their countries’ leading opposition candidates and banned them from holding office.  The Dutch Establishment blocked Geert Wilders from becoming prime minister and installed an Intelligence Community technocrat in his stead.  Germany is close to designating the most popular opposition political party a domestic terror organization.

In the United States, Democrats and their Intelligence Community co-conspirators orchestrated the Russia collusion hoax against President Trump, sabotaged his administration, subverted his lawful orders, attempted to remove him from office, used COVID to nullify election security laws, incited the 2020 summer riots, installed Dementia Joe Biden in a fraud-filled 2020 mail-in ballot dump that ludicrously rendered the Delaware Dummy the “most popular” candidate of all time, and spent years trying to imprison Trump for the rest of his life.

Across the West, the Establishment wages war against national populations that reject the politicians and bureaucratic tyrants running their countries into the ground.  Western “elites” undermine democracy in the name of democracy and throw anybody who objects into jail.  It’s insanely totalitarian…and entirely predictable.

For months, every American with two brain cells and a pulse has understood that Democrats were preparing for a 2020 “summer of love” reunion tour now that President Trump is back in the White House.  Just as they took advantage of fentanyl fanatic George Floyd’s death by railroading four Minneapolis police officers and kicking off a months-long rampage of arson, looting, and murder in Democrat-run cities across the U.S. five years ago, violent Democrats have been salivating at the chance to turn the summer of 2025 into a bloody, fiery nightmare for law-abiding Americans.  It’s what Democrats do.

This season’s production of the NGO-financed, Intelligence Community–choreographed, Chinese Communist Party–supported, and Democrat party–organized “color revolution” has a new theme.  Instead of bringing back Black Lives Matter for an encore performance of its widely acclaimed 2020 race riots (despite five-star reviews from the Establishment, that “fiery but mostly peaceful” theatrical production turned off much of the public), 2025’s murder spree will celebrate criminal illegal aliens’ war against Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.

Forty million foreign nationals will prove why they should be allowed to break America’s immigration laws and bilk America’s taxpayers by burning down American cities, attacking America’s law enforcement officers, and endangering American lives.  California governor “Gruesome” Newsom sure is excited.  The same tyrant who sent armed enforcers after Christians who refused to mask toddlers over two years into the COVID pandemic (another Democrat-sponsored theatrical production that the press and politicians adored but the public despised) is doing everything he can to help illegal aliens set his state on fire.

Opening night for downtowns across the country is still a few weeks away, but the preview show in Los Angeles is already getting stellar reviews from all the very best people.  Celebrities say the Democrat party has really outdone itself.  Journalists argue that this is one sequel you won’t want to miss.  Anonymous sources from the CIA and FBI are ecstatic about this summer’s coming carnage and are already telling critics who have not yet seen the show, We absolutely love it when armies of foreigners wage war on Americans.  We all get raises, additional surveillance powers, and brand-new office space.

Democrat politicians can hardly contain their glee.  Whenever they show up on CNN and MSNBC, they cheer for rioters.  If “democracy” means throwing bricks and Molotov cocktails at police officers, robbing civilians, and burning down small businesses, then it makes perfect sense why the party of slavery and Jim Crow has never changed its name.

Sponsored

Nothing says, “I like to terrorize and intimidate Americans into submission” like a crazy-eyed leftist holding a gas can in one hand and a match in the other, while wearing a t-shirt that says, “Hate has no home here.”  The Democrat party doesn’t need to rebrand.  It has proudly set churches, homes, and shops on fire for most of its existence.  Arson, theft, and murder are in its political DNA.  When Democrats preach “tolerance,” what they really mean is, “Do what we say, and we’ll tolerate you for the time being.”

Even though we knew that these live performances of Democrat violence and mayhem were coming, this whole astroturfed exercise in stompy-foot outrage is still a bit surreal.  For decades, the American Establishment has lied to Americans by claiming that the forty million or more illegal aliens living inside our country (a nation growing inside a nation) are just like us — better, in fact, because they do jobs that Americans won’t do!  (We’ve got to have those domestic slaves, right, Democrats?)

Yet now that the foreign nationals have been “activated” to burn down America, it is easy to see that they are not like us at all.  Americans don’t wave Mexican flags while setting vehicles on fire.  Americans don’t praise Hamas while threatening Jews.  Americans don’t smuggle biological weapons from China in hopes of destroying America’s food supply.  Americans don’t export guns and military equipment to the nation’s geopolitical enemies.  Americans don’t get shout-outs from Islamic terrorists encouraging Muslims inside the U.S. to assassinate President Trump, his Cabinet, and their families.  That’s what foreign infiltrators, terrorists, and enemy combatants do.

When I turn on the news and see foreign nationals destroying cities and hurting Americans, I don’t feel sympathy.  I feel anger.  I am acutely aware that an army of military-aged males operates inside our borders.  The members of that army demonstrate allegiance to foreign powers and outright hostility toward citizens of the United States.

Even worse, Democrats, Establishment Republicans, and bureaucrats within local, state, and federal agencies have undermined existing immigration law and encouraged this decades-long foreign invasion.  While local communities and an unknown number of victims (in the Democrat party’s so-called “sanctuary” cities, crimes committed by illegal aliens are intentionally hidden) have suffered from this forced clash of civilizations, Americans who have spoken out against this government-sanctioned lawlessness have been called “bigots,” “racists,” “heartless,” “selfish,” and “evil.”

First, powerful government officials conspire to aid and abet a foreign invasion.  Then those government officials cover up the dangers and injuries to American citizens.  Finally, the same government officials whose actions have caused real harm to Americans denounce Americans as “immoral” for daring to oppose the government’s malicious, criminal, and damaging conduct.

It’s as if the people who have been “running” this country for decades hate the people whose families have long lived here and love the foreigners who just sneaked in.  Perhaps we Americans are a nation living inside a nation being constructed around us!  That would certainly explain why the Constitution (and particularly the Bill of Rights) seemed to stop operating sometime over the last century.

But we know why this is happening.  Too many Americans have rejected the Marxist globalists and their borderless “New World Order.”  So we must be made to pay.

Harvard is the Enemy

During his 2024 campaign, President Donald Trump correctly assailed elite universities like Harvard as controlled by “Marxist maniacs and lunatics.” He received a popular mandate to take them down. They deserve it.

The bill of indictment against Harvard is long. It is teaching students to hate America, to become modern-day Benedict Arnolds. It is teaching students to love Hamas and terrorists. It is promoting antisemitism, hatred of Israel, and the canard of a genocide in Gaza.

The president of Harvard, Alan Garber, has repeatedly acknowledged an epidemic of antisemitism at the university.

Harvard celebrates communism over free-market capitalism. Survey its libraries. You will find Karl Marx’s “Das Kapital” and “The Communist Manifesto,” Vladimir Lenin’s “Essential Works” and Mao Zedong’s “Little Red Book.” The Paris Commune is taught as utopia.

Stroll on the Harvard campus. You look in vain for the Stars and Stripes. Instead, you see Islamic flags featuring a green field, a white crescent moon and a star. You listen in vain for the national anthem, the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” or “Yankee Doodle.” Instead, you hear the antisemitic chant “From the river to the sea” calling for the destruction of Israel.

Harvard is Un-American. It should be promoting student and faculty attendance at the June 14 military parade in Washington, D.C., honoring those who gave or risked that last full measure of devotion to guarantee that the government of the people, by the people, for the people does not perish from the earth. Instead, it is fighting to retain the 27% of the student body composed of international students characteristically serving as spies for countries like China or India. Harvard’s tax-exempt status should be revoked for serving foreign nations more than America itself.

Harvard’s tax-exempt status should be revoked for serving foreign nations more than America itself.

The United States was founded as a merit-based society. Everyone was born with the same unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. In the eyes of the Constitution, there was only one race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. It was American.

Harvard continues to mock merit as the touchstone of success at the university. Despite its devastating loss at the U.S. Supreme Court in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, the university continues to promote DEI, which judges by skin color, religion, ethnicity, LGBTQ status and progressive or socialist dogmas. This is not the aristocracy of merit saluted by Thomas Jefferson when he founded the University of Virginia.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said it best: “The president is more interested in giving that taxpayer money (going to Harvard) to trade schools and programs and state schools where they are promoting American values but, most importantly, educating the next generation based on skills that we need in our economy and our society. … Apprenticeships, electricians, plumbers, we need more of those in our country, and less LGBTQ graduate majors from Harvard University.”

Trump Nukes Los Angeles

The LA immigration riots have come to a swift and sudden end following a decisive nuclear strike ordered by President Donald Trump.

At precisely 6 AM on Tuesday, an American Northrop B-2 Spirit stealth bomber dropped a 500 kiloton atomic bomb on Downtown Los Angeles, destroying all violent rioters and also everything else. Pentagon officials described the blast as having more power than 500,000 tons of TNT or 20-30 times more powerful than the detonations in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. Initial casualty estimates are estimated to be between 500,000 and 1,000,000 with up to 200,000 more expected as a result of nuclear fallout.

“Governor Gavin Newscum, of California, and Mayor Karen Bass, of Los Angeles have ruined a once beautiful city,” Trump told officials at the National Military Command Center at the Pentagon. “The only way I can see out of this disaster is one big, beautiful bomb to end all unrest. And it’s too bad, it really is too bad. I filmed season six of The Apprentice out there, you know. I’m going to miss it.”

According to sources, the bomb was detonated approximately 5 miles above the surface to maximize the blast and thermal radii while limiting radioactive fallout.

“We made a great decision in nuking Los Angeles,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “It was the only way to deal with the violent, instigated riots in California. If we had not done so, Los Angeles would have been completely obliterated by illegal aliens. You’re welcome, America!”

Witnesses in nearby San Diego reported seeing an enormous, blinding light on the horizon. Though shocking, San Diego citizens believe this may improve their chances during the MLB playoff season. “I guess the Dodgers are gone,” said Padres third baseman Manny Machado. “Maybe Trump isn’t so bad after all.”

At publishing time, President Trump had authorized similar strikes on Chicago, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Austin.

Iran Threatens US Bases in Region If Military Conflict Arises

If nuclear negotiations fail and conflict arises with the United States, Iran will strike American bases in the region, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh said Wednesday, days ahead of a planned sixth round of Iran-U.S. nuclear talks.

“Some officials on the other side threaten conflict if negotiations don’t come to fruition. If a conflict is imposed on us… all U.S. bases are within our reach and we will boldly target them in host countries,” Nasirzadeh said during a press conference.

President Donald Trump has not ruled out bombing Iran if it does not reach a new nuclear deal.

The next round of talks is due this week, with Trump saying negotiations would be held on Thursday while Tehran says they will take place on Sunday in Oman.

Iran is expected to hand a counter-proposal to a previous U.S. offer for a nuclear deal it rejected, with Trump reacting Tuesday that Iran is becoming “much more aggressive” in nuclear talks.

Nasirzadeh added Tehran recently tested a missile with a two-ton warhead and does not accept limitations. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had said in February that Iran should further develop its military, including its missiles.

It’s Time to Leave Free Republic after 25 Years

Dear Freepers

After almost 25 years of freerepublic.com being a rare bastion of sanity in this crazy world, I will be ending my time as a member of this once great site.

The quality of FR has degraded to the point that I no longer find much usage for the site that I can’t find on other platforms and sources. I have had multiple conversations with many freepers, both in the forum and privately and many of them agree with some of my points of contention:

A) The primary reason I am leaving is the failure of FR to address the rising and blatant antisemitism on here. Yes, a vast majority of freepers call them out and see right through it but the failure of the FR leadership to deal with this issue is not acceptable. There are a few dozen of these posters on here who have a very clear track record of posting their jew-hatred over and over again. Of course they will mask it under the cover of “I’m criticizing Israel, not Jews” or “I’m an American Firster” label or my favorite one “I’m an Appalachian Christian”. But if you look closely at what they comment on and how they do it, it is clear they have a JEW problem. These posters will ignore the atrocities committed by the same types of people who committed 9/11, killed RFK, blew up the USS cole, the marine barracks in Lebanon, shot up a club in Florida and countless other horrific acts that have killed and maimed thousands of people, orphaned many children, and left multi-thousands of grieving loved ones behind. The moral corsmpass of these posters is quite shocking to say the least. And they always use the same tropes–foreign aid, the USS Liberty incident, war-mongering BiBi, AIPAC controls xxxxxx, and my favorite one is when they link to sites like the UN and Amnesty International as their “proof” that Israel is violating some international “law”. Some are more blunt and vicious than others, but it’s come to the point where much of my time is spent responding and commenting to the crazies on here. And of course most of them will deny they hate Jews, they just don’t want American foreign policy dictated by Israel etc….. FR is not twitter and is supposedly a tightly monitored site of like minded conservative individuals. Most of these loonies should be formally warned or banned, but they are not. Whatever happened to zotting?

B) Another significant reason I’m leaving is sadly, the quality of the discourse here. This was a website that was once feared as a threat by the left and helped expose the Dan Rather scandal. Those days are long gone. There was a time when I would come on here to get genuine and insightful opinions on politics and world events from intelligent people. Many of my political understandings and positions over the years were molded from what I read on this forum. Nowadays most of the comments to the real issues facing the USA are nothing more than silly venting comments in the vein of “we should lock up everyone of these rioters and throw away the key” or “Trump needs to fire these judges ASAP” or “It’s time for public tarring and feathering to return” level of quality. I can read through multiple threads without finding a useful insight to glean from it. It is really nothing more than venting and wishful thinking but not really practical–the same level of commentary can be found on a foxnews comments section. The personal assaults and attacks levied against each other don’t bother me so much and are often a natural response and I do sometimes like seeing someone get slammed down. I know I have been guilty of some crude and impolite commenting over the years. It’s the overall value of the content that has declined.

C) As a follow up to B, A vast majority of the articles that are being posted nowadays are from very mainstream fake news sources such as the NYtimes/Reuters/AP/DailyMail/MSNBC/CNN/SFGate etc… with a solid supplement of other almost useless sources such as foxnews/nypost/breitbart. Any halfway intelligent freeper on here KNOWS darn well that there’s NOTHING useful published on these websites or articles so the comments turn into nothing more than “this article is such fake news” and similar style comments. It’s the same story over and over and over again and we all point it out. But real thought provoking ideas are not to be found. And of course we have the endless BOMBSHELLS and BOOMS and BREAKING headlines from the gateway pundit and dailymail posted on a daily basis that never amount to anything. Sites like American Thinker / townhall / Sultan Knish and some others are the only ones with real content worthy of real discussion If anyone dares to post some thought provoking article from some small blog or some less-known unfamiliar site, you’re instantly accused of blog-pimping. As a lead on to my next issue, the same news event is often posted multiple times just from a different source.

D) Leadership–I know I’m going to get flamed hard for this but who is steering the ship here at FR nowadays? I have much respect for Jim and what he’s built but I really feel like he only appears when appealing for money. He certainly is not actively involved in leading and guiding the site into the future. Perhaps it is time to pass the torch on to someone else who can keep the site as a useful and relevant place on the internet. Sadly, I feel that there is no one clearly calling the shots and no leadership here anymore

E) My final issue with FR is the functionality of the site. There hasn’t been a single update to this site since I joined. Not a thing. No, we don’t need flashy profiles and avatars and other silly bells and jingles but it’s 2025 and simple features like the ability to edit your comment or even delete it would be nice. A like and dislike option to a post would also be a nice feature and save a lot of the commenting issues I mentioned above. The ability to respond inline to comments would also make the flow much easier–If someone makes a comment at #12 and I dont join in until comment #93, I’m forced to copy/paste what they wrote so my comment can be understood in context. And no in 2025, I shouldn’t have to use html to post a picture. The breaking news is often hours behind an actual event happening. The search features are primitive at best. The site can still be very basic looking but can still be user-friendly.

Protests over immigration raids pop up across the US with more planned

Protests that sprang up in Los Angeles over immigration enforcement raids and prompted President Donald Trump to mobilize National Guard troops and Marines have begun to spread across the country, with more planned into the weekend.

From Seattle and Austin to Chicago and Washington, D.C., marchers have chanted slogans, carried signs against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and snarled traffic through downtown avenues and outside federal offices. While many have been peaceful, some have resulted in clashes with law enforcement as officers made arrests and used chemical irritants to disperse crowds.

Activists are planning more and even larger demonstrations in the coming days, with “No Kings” events across the country on Saturday to coincide with Trump’s planned military parade through Washington.

The Trump administration said it would continue its program of raids and deportations despite the protests.

ICE will continue to enforce the law,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem posted Tuesday on social media.
