Why are We so Afraid ?

A reader wrote on my Facebook thread that I’m so interesting and say the things everything is thinking about, but are afraid to say.

I appreciate that!

But it also gets me thinking: Why are we all so afraid?

Why do people have to worry about losing business, or losing you’re job, if you’re not woke and crazy and Communist, and if you don’t want the government to take people’s guns, you don’t want the government to restrict people’s speech, take away their heat/ac, their gas stoves, their cars and their ability to make a living if they don’t take an experimental vaccine financed by the government through a billion dollar company with absolutely no product liability?

Why are WE — the ones who dare to think or perhaps say this is all wrong and crazy — always the ones ashamed? Always the ones on the defensive?

Should the people who advocate these crazy things be on the defensive — NOT the people who cherish liberty, freedom, individual rights, and the real Constitution, not the phone one being imposed by the Biden regime and blue state governors/mayors, and Soros-appointed totalitarian attorneys?

I don’t understand how it got to this point. Why isn’t there at least a debate?

I’m not saying you need to write a blog or go on the radio or television. That’s a personal choice. I’m not saying you have to go out of your way to annoy people. I’m not even saying you have to do anything, if you don’t want to, or if you really can’t.

But I am saying, please: don’t be afraid. And don’t be ashamed. Refuse to participate in the madness. Refuse to go along to get along. Within your family, in your neighborhood, in your community. People have gone mad — but it’s really just a minority who have gone mad. The rest are simply afraid, and feel like they have to pretend to go along with the madness even if they know it’s madness.

Stretch your willingness NOT to comply as far as you possibly can. This is the thing that totalitarians and control freaks cannot stand. They loathe independence because they fear it, because they don’t have it, and they’re envious of it. This is why these leftists who want you to conform are in such a rage all the time, constantly making threats and calling you names. They’re screaming their own insecurity.

We don’t live at the permission of anyone. The government exists with OUR permission. That includes you and I, whether we’re the quiet majority or whether we’re a minority. Either way, all individuals have rights, and — as Ayn Rand used to say — the tiniest minority on earth is the individual.

The IRS didn’t need more funding. It needs DEFUNDING. End the income tax, most other taxes and eliminate most of the federal government as we know it. Will this happen? Not a chance. In one form or another, big, lawless government will soon come knocking on most people’s doors. And by the time most Americans realize they have made a terrible mistake, it will be too late.

Old school leftists/Democrats aimed to hurt the country. They shared power with old school Republicans who hoped to contain the damage. Today’s leftists aim to annihilate not just the country, but all of Western civilization, calling it “progress.” Hard, radical leftists are solidly in charge of government, schools, education, media, corporations and culture. There are no more moderate leftists, not in power. Even many Republicans, at the national level, have joined forces with the hardest leftists. Aside from Alito and Clarence Thomas, most of the Supreme Court has largely abandoned the Constitution. They’re upholding the destruction of women’s sports, for example; and they positively will not address evidence of election fraud.Viewed in light of these absolutely factual, observable developments, things like Trump’s arrest and indictment with bizarre, incoherent charges make total sense. If the explicit, unblinking purpose of nearly every government and cultural authority is to destroy America, then surely Trump had to go.

Justin Jones, one of the three Democrat Tennessee legislators who helped incite a mob to storm the capitol building has been officially expelled from the body for his actions.

Democrats in the minority in Tennessee hope to use mob violence with probably Soros hired losers to shut down the state government until gun confiscation is enacted. Republicans in control actually held one of the legislators responsible for his actions. This is how a government is supposed to work. The exact opposite of what’s happening at the federal level, which is why–I maintain–the federal government is unsustainable on its present course.

The Government is Fomenting Mass Hysteria

by John W. Whitehead

April 6, 2023

This country has been having a nationwide nervous breakdown since 9/11. A nation of people suddenly broke, the market economy goes to shit, and they’re threatened on every side by an unknown, sinister enemy. But I don’t think fear is a very effective way of dealing with things—of responding to reality. Fear is just another word for ignorance.”—Hunter S. Thompson, gonzo journalistAmericans should beware of letting others—whether they be television news hosts, political commentators or media corporations—do their thinking for them.
[Click to Tweet]

We have become guinea pigs in a ruthlessly calculated, carefully orchestrated, chillingly cold-blooded experiment in how to control a population and advance a political agenda without much opposition from the citizenry.

This is mind-control in its most sinister form.

With alarming regularity, the nation is being subjected to a spate of violence that terrorizes the public, destabilizes the country, and gives the government greater justifications to crack down, lock down, and institute even more authoritarian policies for the so-called sake of national security without many objections from the citizenry.

Take this latest shooting in Nashville, Tenn.

The 28-year-old shooter (a clearly troubled transgender individual in possession of several military-style weapons) opened fire in a Christian elementary school, killing three children and three adults.

Already, fingers are being pointed and battle lines are being drawn.

Those who want safety at all costs are clamoring for more gun control measures (if not at an outright ban on assault weapons for non-military, non-police personnel), widespread mental health screening of the general population, more threat assessments and behavioral sensing warnings, more CCTV cameras with facial recognition capabilities, more “See Something, Say Something” programs aimed at turning Americans into snitches and spies, more metal detectors and whole-body imaging devices at soft targets, more roaming squads of militarized police empowered to do random bag searches, more fusion centers to centralize and disseminate information to law enforcement agencies, and more surveillance of what Americans say and do, where they go, what they buy and how they spend their time.

This is all part of the Deep State’s master plan.

Ask yourselves: why are we being bombarded with crises, distractions, fake news and reality TV politics? We’re being conditioned like lab mice to subsist on a steady diet of bread-and-circus politics and an endless spate of crises.

Caught up in this “crisis of the now,” the average person has a hard time keeping up with and remembering all of the “events,” manufactured or otherwise, which occur like clockwork in order to keep us distracted, deluded, amused, and insulated from reality.

As investigative journalist Mike Adams points out:

“This psychological bombardment is waged primarily via the mainstream media which assaults the viewer by the hour with images of violence, war, emotions and conflict. Because the human nervous system is hard wired to focus on immediate threats accompanied by depictions of violence, mainstream media viewers have their attention and mental resources funneled into the never-ending ‘crisis of the NOW’ from which they can never have the mental breathing room to apply logic, reason or historical context.”

Professor Jacques Ellul studied this phenomenon of overwhelming news, short memories and the use of propaganda to advance hidden agendas. “One thought drives away another; old facts are chased by new ones,” wrote Ellul.

All the while, the government continues to amass more power and authority over the citizenry.

When we’re being bombarded with wall-to-wall news coverage and news cycles that change every few days, it’s difficult to stay focused on one thing—namely, holding the government accountable to abiding by the rule of law—and the powers-that-be understand this.

Yet as John Lennon reminds us, “nothing is real,” especially not in the world of politics.

In other words, it’s all fake, i.e., manufactured, i.e., manipulated to distort reality.

Much like the fabricated universe in Peter Weir’s 1998 film The Truman Show, in which a man’s life is the basis for an elaborately staged television show aimed at selling products and procuring ratings, the political scene in the United States has devolved over the years into a carefully calibrated exercise in how to manipulate, polarize, propagandize and control a population.

This is the magic of the reality TV programming that passes for politics today.

As long as we are distracted, entertained, occasionally outraged, always polarized but largely uninvolved and content to remain in the viewer’s seat, we’ll never manage to present a unified front against tyranny (or government corruption and ineptitude) in any form.

The more that is beamed at us, the more inclined we are to settle back in our comfy recliners and become passive viewers rather than active participants as unsettling, frightening events unfold.

Reality and fiction merge as everything around us becomes entertainment fodder.

We don’t even have to change the channel when the subject matter becomes too monotonous. That’s taken care of for us by the programmers (the corporate media).

“Living is easy with eyes closed,” says Lennon, and that’s exactly what reality TV that masquerades as American politics programs the citizenry to do: navigate the world with their eyes shut.

As long as we’re viewers, we’ll never be doers.

Studies suggest that the more reality TV people watch—and I would posit that it’s all reality TV, entertainment news included—the more difficult it becomes to distinguish between what is real and what is carefully crafted farce.

“We the people” are watching a lot of TV.

On average, Americans spend five hours a day watching television. By the time we reach age 65, we’re watching more than 50 hours of television a week, and that number increases as we get older. And reality TV programming consistently captures the largest percentage of TV watchers every season by an almost 2-1 ratio.

This doesn’t bode well for a citizenry able to sift through masterfully-produced propaganda in order to think critically about the issues of the day, whether it’s fake news peddled by government agencies or foreign entities.

Those who watch reality shows tend to view what they see as the “norm.” Thus, those who watch shows characterized by lying, aggression and meanness not only come to see such behavior as acceptable and entertaining but also mimic the medium.

This holds true whether the reality programming is about the antics of celebrities in the White House, in the board room, or in the bedroom.

It’s a phenomenon called “humilitainment.”

A term coined by media scholars Brad Waite and Sara Booker, “humilitainment” refers to the tendency for viewers to take pleasure in someone else’s humiliation, suffering and pain.

Humilitainment” largely explains not only why American TV watchers are so fixated on reality TV programming but how American citizens, largely insulated from what is really happening in the world around them by layers of technology, entertainment, and other distractions, are being programmed to accept the brutality, surveillance and dehumanizing treatment of the American police state as things happening to other people.

The ramifications for the future of civic engagement, political discourse and self-government are incredibly depressing and demoralizing.

This is what happens when an entire nation—bombarded by reality TV programming, government propaganda and entertainment news—becomes systematically desensitized and acclimated to the trappings of a government that operates by fiat and speaks in a language of force.

Ultimately, the reality shows, the entertainment news, the surveillance society, the militarized police, and the political spectacles have one common objective: to keep us divided, distracted, imprisoned, and incapable of taking an active role in the business of self-government.

Look behind the political spectacles, the reality TV theatrics, the sleight-of-hand distractions and diversions, and the stomach-churning, nail-biting drama, and you will find there is a method to the madness.

How do you change the way people think? You start by changing the words they use.

In totalitarian regimes—a.k.a. police states—where conformity and compliance are enforced at the end of a loaded gun, the government dictates what words can and cannot be used.

In countries where the police state hides behind a benevolent mask and disguises itself as tolerance, the citizens censor themselves, policing their words and thoughts to conform to the dictates of the mass mind.

Even when the motives behind this rigidly calibrated reorientation of societal language appear well-intentioned—discouraging racism, condemning violence, denouncing discrimination and hatred—inevitably, the end result is the same: intolerance, indoctrination, infantilism, the chilling of free speech and the demonizing of viewpoints that run counter to the cultural elite.

Labelling something as “fake news” is a masterful way of dismissing truth that may run counter to the ruling power’s own narrative.

As George Orwell recognized, “In times of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

Orwell understood only too well the power of language to manipulate the masses. In Orwell’s 1984, Big Brother does away with all undesirable and unnecessary words and meanings, even going so far as to routinely rewrite history and punish “thoughtcrimes.”

In this dystopian vision of the future, the Thought Police serve as the eyes and ears of Big Brother, while the Ministry of Peace deals with war and defense, the Ministry of Plenty deals with economic affairs (rationing and starvation), the Ministry of Love deals with law and order (torture and brainwashing), and the Ministry of Truth deals with news, entertainment, education and art (propaganda). The mottos of Oceania: WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, and IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.

Orwell’s Big Brother relied on Newspeak to eliminate undesirable words, strip such words as remained of unorthodox meanings and make independent, non-government-approved thought altogether unnecessary.

Where we stand now is at the juncture of Oldspeak (where words have meanings, and ideas can be dangerous) and Newspeak (where only that which is “safe” and “accepted” by the majority is permitted).

Truth is often lost when we fail to distinguish between opinion and fact, and that is the danger we now face as a society. Anyone who relies exclusively on television/cable news hosts and political commentators for actual knowledge of the world is making a serious mistake.

Unfortunately, since Americans have by and large become non-readers, television has become their prime source of so-called “news.” This reliance on TV news has given rise to such popular news personalities who draw in vast audiences that virtually hang on their every word.

In our media age, these are the new powers-that-be.

Yet while these personalities often dispense the news like preachers used to dispense religion, with power and certainty, they are little more than conduits for propaganda and advertisements delivered in the guise of entertainment and news.

Given the preponderance of news-as-entertainment programming, it’s no wonder that viewers have largely lost the ability to think critically and analytically and differentiate between truth and propaganda, especially when delivered by way of fake news criers and politicians.

The bottom line is simply this: Americans should beware of letting others—whether they be television news hosts, political commentators or media corporations—do their thinking for them.

A populace that cannot think for themselves is a populace with its backs to the walls: mute in the face of elected officials who refuse to represent us, helpless in the face of police brutality, powerless in the face of militarized tactics and technology that treat us like enemy combatants on a battlefield, and naked in the face of government surveillance that sees and hears all.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People and in its fictional counterpart The Erik Blair Diaries, it’s time to change the channel, tune out the reality TV show, and push back against the real menace of the police state.

If not, if we continue to sit back and lose ourselves in political programming, we will remain a captive audience to a farce that grows more absurd by the minute.

Why Critical Race Theory is a Danger to Our Faith-Based Community

Frontpagemag logo

“Inside Every Progressive Is A Totalitarian Screaming To Get Out”—David Horowitz

A threat to the core principles that make our country exceptional.

April 5, 2023 by  3 Comments

America was founded by people fleeing religious persecution. Our society flourished based on the unique atmosphere of religious tolerance, which was very different from Europe and other parts of the world. These fundamental principles are now threatened by Critical Race Theory (CRT), and its related ideologies, which present a danger to the values underlying a thriving America – and potentially, to its faith-based communities.

Once considered to be fringe subject matter to be studied as theory, CRT and its spin-offs ideologies such as intersectionality, which argues marginalized and oppressed groups must come together to fight against other groups perceived as their oppressors, are now used as lenses to view America and the world. These ideologies have been rubber stamped by educational institutions, corporate America, major brands, the entertainment industry, and the media.

At its core, the idea behind intersectionality and CRT seems positive – helping oppressed communities to stand up for themselves and regain their voice. But when you see how this ideology is applied in practice, it erodes the core principles that make our country exceptional, such as America’s commitment to individual rights and equality, rule of law, tolerance, pluralism, due process, freedom of speech, and free-market capitalism.

CRT and intersectionality classifies all people as undivided members of identity groups who lack individualism, and independence from their ethnicity, gender, and/or sexuality. It promotes “us” vs. “them” structures that are infecting our politics and puts “victimhood” at the center – the more “oppressed” you are, the greater your cultural and social capital is.

Perhaps the greatest targets of CRT are people of faith – Christians, Jews, and others whose values fall outside the CRT framework.

Here are a few reasons why the ideology of CRT/intersectionality is particularly harmful for faith based communities and as such for America:

CRT disparages proven principles – often rooted in faith – that have made America successful and discourages the development of new, worthy ideas.

Christians and Jews are generalized as structurally exclusive and discriminatory. This is a major catalyst, and a convenient excuse, for hate against these groups. Jews, for example are being generally labeled as a group of white, nationalist oppressors – a label that has caused an exponential rise in antisemitism since intersectionality was born.

In CRT’s search for “equity”, religious communities, regardless of the individual views and beliefs of their members, are lumped together as oppressive institutions that need to be radically remade if not dismantled.

CRT demonizes success, arguing that achievement is the product of exploitation and also undermines free speech and enforces ideological conformity by forcefully shutting down views and opinions that put the individual in the center, and encourages individual accountability and responsibility.

One of the core tenets of CRT and intersectionality is that a society based on “meritocracy” is inherently white supremacist. For America to continue to flourish, excellence should be rewarded, not used as ammo in cultural wars and ideological debates.

AP classes are being eliminated, grades are disappearing from schools, and SAT scores for college admission are going extinct. For decades these metrics have helped assess students’ individual abilities and tailor programs for their specific needs and talents. Meritocratic excellence, familiar to faith-based communities, is being systematically replaced with Marxist-inspired equity.

CRT pits group against group and foments hatred for the “other”.

Understanding that all people have the power and resources to fulfill their potential, regardless of their ethnic background, is imperative for a diverse society to flourish. Individuals are capable of great evil, great courage, and everything in between. An oppressor/oppressed binary pits people against people, without distinction.

Efforts by radical left activists in shaping California’s ethnic studies curriculum demonstrates how CRT/intersectionality functions in the school system. Jews and Asians, although minorities and regardless of their individual achievements and life circumstances, are considered “white adjacent” and are therefore beneficiaries of the white power structure and contribute to the oppression of people of color. This framework disallows merit, the complexity of American society, and causes bigotry and ignorance.

Americans who choose to prioritize traditional values, are seen as “oppressor adjacent” and promoters of a “white supremacist” ideal. The result is that instead of leading to a more equal and better society under CRT/intersectionality the oppressors become oppressed, and the cycle of hate continues.

America is too diverse, complex, and open-hearted to be pitting fellow Americans against each other. It goes against the ethos of America’s “Golden Rule” of interpersonal respect and tolerance.

America was founded by people fleeing religious persecution. We built a society rooted in religious tolerance. The spread of CRT is a danger to every person of faith. We need to build alliances between Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, and everyone who believes in objective right and wrong, and the traditional values on which this country is built.

The Surreal Experience of Marjorie Taylor Greene on 60 Minutes

The 60 Minutes interview with Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was interesting, especially the first two-thirds. Greene is a strong person, for sure.

It was a surreal experience even to be watching 60 Minutes at all. The last time I did so? Probably 1992, or so. Wow. The corporate media is as bad as you think. Smug. Dishonest. Pretentious. Demeaning. Patronizing. Almost unimaginably nonobjective while playing the part of objective. They play for their audience while pretending to address everyone. Stalin, Hitler, Castro — none of them could have dreamed of a propaganda machine this loyal and dedicated. But Hitler’s propagandists did so at gunpoint. Today’s corporate media gets paid billions. Ask yourself which one is morally worse.

I don’t agree with Greene that America is a Christian nation. I don’t believe America is a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, an atheist nation — or an anti-Christian nation, either. America was supposed to be a free country; that’s all. Yet I don’t think she disagrees. I think people like her are simply trying to say that Christianity matters to them. It’s on the verge of being outlawed in America, along with just about everything else leftists dislike or loathe.

I agreed with her essentially on everything else. Her reasons for staying out of the Ukraine war were rather weak, at least in the final edits (who knows the totality of what she said)? However, her comment that “Ukraine is not the 51st State” was pretty memorable. She failed to challenge Stahl’s insistence that America has a moral obligation to help out any country that’s invaded. Why? I completely agree with her that America has a spending problem, not a revenue problem. She didn’t backtrack on her position to defund the FBI; this caused me to cheer. She stated clearly and bravely that sexualizing children is something that child molesters do. Interviewer Leslie Stahl gasped. Well, isn’t sexualizing children what child molesters do? Even if respecting (while not understanding or agreeing with) an adult’s right to say his biological gender is not his real gender, what possible moral (or legal) basis can one have for altering the identity and biology of children before they reach the age of consent? It’s madness.

But madness is the rule of the day. And this interview just reinforced for me how utterly irreconcilable the differences between our ruling regime and rational people actually are. You can tell the smug Leslie Stahl has made up her mind. And so have millions of us on the other side.

An incoming Massachusetts school superintendent revealed that his job offer was rescinded prior to his start date after he addressed two women on the school’s committee as “ladies” in an email.

Vito Perrone was offered the position as the head of Easthampton Schools on March 23, but was notified that the job offer had been withdrawn over his choice of salutation in an email to the chairperson and executive assistant, both female, who reportedly interpreted his “ladies” greeting as a “microaggression,” the Daily Hampshire Gazette reported. [Fox News story 4-3-23]

If there is any DARK comfort in the possibility that America — and all of Western civilization — may soon fall, it’s the deep satisfaction of watching people concerned with “microaggressions” see their universe turn into a Third World country.

The Democrats are Moving in for the Kill

By Eric Utter

I have always been a believer in limited government. I have always been aware that most men are not inherently good, let alone perfectible. Yet, I have, until recently, never believed in conspiracies, and was anything but a conspiracy theorist. Events of the past few years have, sadly, further opened my eyes to the extreme lengths some will go to attain, enhance, and sustain power over others.

I now believe the indictment and possible conviction of former President Donald Trump, along with a potential gag order, is a preplanned attempt to engender a broad and potentially violent response among his supporters. Subsequent to which, Democrats and their various “intelligence” services, federal departments, deep staters, security personnel, and various legal and civic “experts” and “scholars”—eagerly (yet so soberly) cheered on by their sycophants in the media, will call for and impose a sort of martial law. Oppositional conservative voices will be silenced and/or arrested, actions will be taken to neuter or shut down conservative websites and media outlets like Fox News, Newsmax, The New York Post, and American Thinker, as well as certain talk radio programs, and selected blogs and podcasts…in a desperate, last-ditch effort “to save our beloved democracy.” (And therefore yet another Babylon Bee prophecy will come true: “Democrats Vow To Arrest As Many Political Opponents As It Takes To Defeat Fascism.”)

But it is worse than that. Democrats know that either of the two nearly certain outcomes of their actions will allow them to consolidate and perpetuate their power, until the sun expires, which is their only real goal. If there is no widespread outcry or protest of this banana republic-esque action, they will know they have already won…and can do whatever the hell they want from here on out, openly and with impunity. And extreme prejudice.

Either outcome would be the end of the republic formerly known as the United States of America.

How did we get here?

The plandemic afforded the elite globalist authoritarians in power a glorious opportunity to not let a crisis go to waste. (Noted leftist “Hanoi” Jane Fonda actually publicly stated, “COVID is God’s gift to the left.”) They ran with it, telling many people their jobs were not critical, making them wear facial masks and accept an experimental vaccine into their bodies, forcing them to stay inside their homes for months at a time, and preventing them from attending the weddings — or even funerals — of their loved ones. Surprised — and buoyed — by the extraordinary compliance of their constituents, they turned to implementing The Great Reset.

And, in America, to setting up the “Jan. 6” protesters — and subsequently incarcerating many of them for months on end…without charge. And raiding the residence of a former president for the first time, for no valid reason, even as they gave the current president and his family a complete pass on a litany of alleged egregious crimes.

And now they have, also for the first time ever, indicted a former president, for alleged process crimes… for which the statute of limitations has already run out.

Today’s Democrats are brilliant at being evil.

Is there a third possible outcome? Is there still a way to save and rehabilitate the republic that the most brilliant and courageous group of men who have ever trod the earth bequeathed to us in America?

Beseech the Almighty. And then read Thomas Paine’s “The Crisis” and “Common Sense.” Read The Federalist Papers, especially those penned by James Madison, the author of The Constitution. And read the Declaration of Independence.

And decide for yourselves.

A freedom leftist tyrants (like today’s Democrats) seek to deprive you of.

Why Government is the Problem–the American Experiment has Failed

by Wallace Garneau | Mar 31, 2023 | LifestylePolitics

Milton Friedman wrote, in his 1993 book, Why Government Is the Problem, “The major social problems of the United States – deteriorating education, lawlessness and crime, homelessness, the collapse of family values, the crisis in medical care – have been produced by well-intended actions of government. That is easy to document. The difficult task is understanding why government is the problem.

The power of special interests arising from the concentrated benefits of most government actions and their dispersed costs is only part of the answer. A more fundamental part is the difference between the self-interest of individuals when they are engaged in the private sector and the self-interest of the same individuals when they are engaged in the government sector. The result is a government system that is no longer controlled by “we, the people.” Instead of Lincoln’s government “of the people, by the people, and for the people,” we now have a government “of the people, by the bureaucrats, for the bureaucrats,” including the elected representatives who have become bureaucrats.”

Friedman was 100% spot on, but I’m not convinced it matters anymore. Allow me to make a brief argument in favor of tyranny.

According to a recent Wall Street Journal poll, the percentage of Americans for whom religion is an important part of their lives has dropped over the past 25 years from 70% to 39%, and the percentage of Americans for whom patriotism is an important part of their lives has dropped from 70% to 38%.

When Milton Friedman wrote that paragraph, this was a religious and moral country of patriots who were willing to die to preserve our values and our way of life. Today we are a country of amoral narcissists who do not believe our nation to be worthy of defending, and who think our values and our way of life are the primary source of evil on the world stage.

When Milton Friedman wrote Why Government Is the Problem, we were a people who both wanted and deserved liberty. Now we are a nation that neither wants nor deserves liberty.

I’m all for the 2nd Amendment in a country of moral people, but ask yourself this: do you really want 330 million amoral narcissists to have guns?

The way we are headed, we’re going to have to give up our guns, as that will be the only way to prevent us from ripping one another to shreds.

Will Durant wrote that a civilization needs two of three things to survive: a shared culture, a shared religion, and a shared language, and even to the degree that we still have English as a common language, we have competing definitions for words like “Fascism,” “Racism,” such that everyone can be called ‘evil’ based on one of the definitions commonly in use.

We are at the end of the road. If we cannot turn this thing around, we will either need a government that has the power to control us, or we will tear our nation apart. We have no shared culture, no shared religion, no shared moral values, and increasingly no shared language. We have nothing to base a nation around.

Take ‘Racism’ as an example. In 1992, we all agreed that ‘racism’ was ‘The belief that there are differences between races that render some people better or worse than others, based on race.” Many of us still use that definition, but the political left defines racism as “prejudice + power,” and goes on to say that we all have at least subconscious biases, making prejudice a given. That means racism = power. To the left, white people are in power, therefore, white people are racist, by definition, and nobody else even can be.

The left’s definition of the word ‘racism’ is racist, making anyone who is not a racist based on the real definition of the word, a racist based on the left’s definition. This is true even as we all agree racism is evil, which means that the left thinks the right is evil, and the right thinks the left is evil.

Fascism is another great example. Giovanni Gentile (the philosopher who invented it) defined it as a nationalist system in which the means of production are privately owned but publicly controlled. Today’s political left doesn’t bother defining ‘fascism’ so much as listing ‘characteristics of fascism’ that are cherry-picked to make conservatives fascist. It’s as if they think Hitler was a libertarian or something, which is, of course, absurd. If you remove the racism from the Nazi platform Hitler ran on before taking power, it’s indistinguishable from that of Elizabeth Warren or Joe Biden.

And it’s not just those two words. Postmodernists don’t really believe in definitions, making the left perfectly free to focus solely on connotation (how words ‘feel’) with no regard to denotation (what words mean). It’s as Bill Clinton said when asked if he’d lied to Congress about having had sex with Monica Lewinski in the Oval Office: “It depends on what the definition of the word ‘is’ is.”

I’m sorry, but ‘it’ is not a difficult word to define. For those who are curious, the American Heritage Dictionary (1985) uses this definition: “The third person singular present tense of ‘be.’” If we can’t even agree on the definition of the word ‘is,’ we’re done. We’ve destroyed our language to the point that we cannot functionally communicate anymore.

And that is the whole point of postmodernism. Postmodernism can only destroy – it cannot build. Postmodernism exists to destroy Western Society from the inside out, and by the time anyone really noticed, the postmodernists had already won.

Milton Friedman was correct, but we did not listen to him. Instead, we played stupid games (As Ben Shapiro likes to say), and now we will get our stupid prizes.

John Adams very famously wrote, “While our Country remains untainted with the Principles and manners, which are now producing desolation in so many Parts of the World: while she continues Sincere and incapable of insidious and impious Policy: We shall have the Strongest Reason to rejoice in the local destination assigned Us by Providence. But should the People of America, once become capable of that deep simulation towards one another and towards foreign nations, which assumes the Language of Justice and moderation while it is practicing Inequity and Extravagance; and displays in the most captivating manner the charming Pictures of Candour frankness & sincerity while it is rioting in rapine and Insolence: this Country will be the most miserable Habitation in the World. Because We have no Government armed with Power capable of contending with human Passions unbridled by morality and Religion. Avarice, Ambition, and Revenge, or Gallantry, would break the strongest Cords of our Constitution as a Whale goes through a Net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any Other.”

Look back at those poll numbers. We are not “a moral and religious people” anymore. We’ve collectively given morality up over the past 25 years. As a consequence, our Constitution is ‘wholly inadequate’ for our governance, and we need a government “with Power capable of contending with human Passions unbridled by morality and Religion.”

We talk as if voting Democratic or Republican are real options. They are not. Our options are far more basic and far less optimistic than that:

  1. Restore America’s founding values by force,
  2. Tyranny, or
  3. Civil war.

If you vote Democrat, while you might not want option 2, that’s what you are going to get. Whether it’ll look like Mao’s China, Stalin’s Soviet Union, Franco’s Spain, or some combination of those things, is an open question. All are tyrannies, so I don’t know that it really matters which way we go, though I suppose communism is the worst of the bunch to live under.

Note, too, that many of us do not need to worry about which system we will live under, as we are regulating away our ability to make food such that we can have a more ‘equitable’ system. Who will suffer the most from that? Poor countries: Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The political left is going to kill off most of the world’s People of Color, and they are going to do it in the name of ‘equity.’

I hope to have the moral courage not to live to see that.

If you vote Republican, you might still get option 2. Many Republicans are corrupt and are happy to ‘go along to get along,’ provided they personally benefit from their positions in government (this is true of many Democrats too). Statesmen are few and far between.

Even if we are lucky enough to put a lot of people working toward option 1 into office, we may well have to go through option 3 to get there. The real question is whether or not we have enough patriots left to fight a civil war to prevent tyranny in a country whose intelligence apparatus has the ability to take organizations down faster than they can be formed.

We conservatives are hamstrung. Since we believe in the Constitution and in a country of laws, we tend to also follow the law. The modern left has no such constraints, viewing the law as nothing more than a set of weapons to leverage against their political opponents. The Biden Administration held around 1,000 Americans in solitary confinement for a year only to then charge them with trespassing, and is now rounding up another 1,000 Americans to do the same thing again. Are we a free country when our President keeps people in solitary confinement for a year only to charge them with a misdemeanor?!?

The same government then refuses to lock up those on the political left who burn down cities, invade the White House grounds (forcing the President into the White House Bunker), storm the floor of the Senate (to shut down Supreme Court nomination hearings), and the like. District Attorneys around the country refuse to prosecute actual crimes, while simultaneously locking up political opponents on pretense alone.

We are a banana republic, and according to polls, most of us want that.

The left is willing to get violent to effect change. Are we? The left is willing to weaponize the law for political purposes. Are we?

The left is only too happy to destroy our country. Are we willing to take it back?

We don’t need Ronald Reagan. We need Augusto Pinochet.

A Weaponized Judicial System is No Longer a Judicial System

Once the judicial system of a country is openly politicized and weaponized, IT IS NO LONGER A JUDICIAL SYSTEM.

The same applies to a federal, politicized police force. The FBI and the DOJ are no longer about fighting actual criminals. The FBI and DOJ exist to punish enemies of the State. Enemies of the State include anyone who criticizes it — starting first and foremost with Donald Trump.

Former Director of National Intelligence and U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell:

“They’ve unleashed political prosecutions like a Third World dictatorship. I fear what this will mean going forward.”

He gets it. Things are too far gone to be reclaimed. The Bidenistas and Commie, Soros-appointed scum who are already unleashing violent criminals on New York City of course wish to imprison people who oppose them the loudest.

Our “justice system” has metastasized into the sociopolitical equivalent of incurable cancer.

You can’t do business with people like Nancy Pelosi who say they can accuse you of anything they wish, without evidence, and then declare you must prove your innocence.
