What’s America to Do with a Weaponized Intelligence Community
The Intelligence Community of the United States of America has been weaponized against the incumbent leader’s political opposition, having even turned the spy agencies of our closest allies against the leading Republican candidate.
This is the inescapable conclusion to be drawn if a bombshell report released last week is accurate.
Relying on “multiple credible witnesses,” independent journalists Michael Shellenberger, Matt Taibbi, and Alex Gutentag revealed that in the lead-up to the 2016 election, the CIA enlisted the help of foreign nations to surveil associates of Donald Trump in a plot to frame him as a Russian asset.
Released by Public, the report alleges that, before Trump took office, Obama-appointed CIA Director John Brennan identified 26 of Trump’s contacts and misleadingly presented them as espionage targets to the spy agencies of the U.S., the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (also known as the “Five Eyes” alliance).
According to the report, the CIA then used the intelligence gathered by its Five Eyes allies to convince the FBI to open its infamous “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into Donald Trump.
Though since discredited by the Mueller Report and the subsequent Durham Report, Crossfire Hurricane was a thorn in Trump’s side throughout his time in the Oval Office.
Agents working on the investigation leaked key details to a Trump-hostile press, prompting wall-to-wall accusations from the media that Trump had colluded with Russia to win the White House.
When Trump denied these accusations and voiced suspicions that his campaign had been spied on, the corporate press doubled down, framing him as paranoid and dishonest.
But he was right all along.
According to CNN, one of the biggest “lies” that Trump told was that his campaign was spied on.
Imagine how many times they added this to their official “Trump Lie Count.” pic.twitter.com/H8cXxeLYLY
— MAZE (@mazemoore) February 14, 2024
That Trump’s campaign was spied on was already well known. What Shellenberger, Taibbi and Gutenberg uncovered was the trickery allegedly employed by the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) to circumvent United States law.
“US law prohibits such intelligence gathering unless authorized by a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant,” the authors explain. Moreover, “the weaponization of the IC for political purposes constitutes election interference.”
But if foreign spies could gather dirt on Trump on behalf of the IC, the problem would be solved—and that is apparently just what they did.
“They were making contacts and bumping Trump people going back to March 2016,” one of the sources cited in the report explains.
(In spy talk, “bumping” means to make contact with a target in a way that appears casual or coincidental when the real purpose is to gather intelligence without raising the target’s suspicion).
These revelations stand in stark contrast to persistent claims by the U.S. government that Crossfire Hurricane was triggered by unsolicited intel from an Australian diplomat.
According to the report, the reverse is the case: The Australian diplomat’s allegations were only made possible by the CIA first enlisting help from Australian spy agencies to “bump” Trump’s associates ahead of 2016.
In a subsequent Fox News interview, Michael Shellenberger even suggested that the FBI’s raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in August 2022 was executed in an effort to recover a binder that contained details of the IC’s illegal espionage against Trump from the American pubic.
“There has been widespread speculation that this binder was the reason or a reason for the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago,” he explained.

For anyone following these events, it is clear that the scandal unravelling this week towers over Watergate—and may in fact represent the single greatest abuse of power by American intelligence in the history of the Union.
Events unfolding in Washington, D.C. can feel very distant and intangible, but their implications must not be lost on everyday Americans.
If the U.S. government can weaponize its spy apparatus and manipulate foreign allies against a man as powerful and popular as Donald Trump, what can it do to regular citizens who disapprove of the incumbent leader?
What is it already doing?
The voices of ordinary people have never been more important in ensuring that this republic remains one of the people, by the people and for the people.

The Fall of America
We can’t make predictions. All we can do is look at past behavior and infer, or hypothesize, from there. We know election fraud has been unaddressed and will not be addressed by anyone in power. We know the existing Establishment has more incentive, and capacity, to keep Trump from winning than they did in 2020. The available evidence tells us that Biden will most likely make it to a second term. After that, probably soon after, the powers-that-be will become bolder than ever, and install whomever they deem a suitable replacement. Unless he dies, you will be looking at “President Biden” this time in 2025, but probably not in 2026.
That’s my educated guess, based on all the available facts. What cannot be guessed is how all the millions who don’t want things to go on as they are will react. American history, outside of 1776 or 1861, has no precedent for such a scenario. And no contemporary or remotely recent scenario for comparison. All I can say is we live in interesting times.

CNN Claims That Calm, Cool Kamala is Taking Charge
Bye-bye, Joe?

Is it curtains for The Big Guy?
Another sign came Sunday that the Democrats are ready to send Old Joe Biden off to a permanent retirement at his taxpayer-funded, walled Delaware beach house. First, there was the inundation of establishment media handwringing over the senescent corruptocrat’s mental state after the same media outlets had stoutly insisted for three years that the sinister and befuddled old fool was sharp as a tack and constantly challenging the intellectual acuity of his aides. And now CNN has claimed that Kamala Harris, the first vice president ever to demonstrate unfitness for the world’s easiest job, is in calm, cool command, taking charge and reassuring Dems who are worried that they might not cheat effectively enough in November.
CNN published a lengthy exposition on Sunday that could have been entitled “Kamala to the Rescue,” for that’s what it was all about; the far-left propaganda organ was trying to sell us on the idea that Harris, after showing herself to be abjectly incapable of doing anything beyond spouting preposterous word salads for as long as Old Joe has been showing off his cognitive decline, is now taking charge, calming the jittery rank-and-file apparatchiks and smoothing the Democrats’ pathway to inevitable victory in November. Nary a cackle was mentioned in the entire two-thousand-word piece.
“More than two dozen sources” — wow! Is that like 51 top intelligence professionals? — “tell CNN that Harris has been gathering information to help her penetrate what she sometimes refers to as the ‘bubble’ of Biden campaign thinking, telling people she’s aiming to use that intelligence to push for changes in strategy and tactics that she hopes will put the ticket in better shape to win.”
Does this sound like the Harris we have seen stating the painfully obvious in the tones of a second-grade teacher to audiences who were being moved for the first time in their lives to question the wisdom of diversity hires? No, this is a new, fictional Kamala Harris that CNN is constructing to follow up on its Sharp-As-A-Tack-and-Clean-As-A-Whistle Joe Biden. Now that the latter has been thoroughly exposed, it’s time for a new propaganda campaign.
And since this is party propaganda and not remotely news, it’s not surprising that CNN tells us that Kamala’s take-charge act is a massive hit: “Multiple leading Democrats, anxious about a campaign they fear might be stumbling past a point of no return, say their conversations with Harris have been a surprising and welcome change, after months of feeling sloughed off by the White House and Biden campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware.” Of course, comrade! They love Kamala, we love Kamala, everybody loves Kamala!
CNN’s parade of anonymous sources includes “a person who attended one of the meetings,” who states: “The ‘bedwetting’ complaints are running thin with people. The West Wing and the campaign need to be better.” Wait, what? Bedwetting? What on earth is CNN talking about? Who exactly is wetting the bed? Dementia Joe? Worried Democrats?
The reference is entirely unclear, but nevertheless, CNN assures us that Harris is efficiently changing the sheets: the putative vice president “did a good job fielding those responses, the person added, ‘and deserves credit for it.’” As a result, “many of those people also say that the conversations have shifted their opinions of the vice president, seeing her now as a more integral and complementary part of the reelection effort.” Bye, Joe!
Harris’s newly discovered competence has “come at a critical moment.” Republicans, you see, have been pouncing, as is their wont; the dastardly reactionaries “have been capitalizing on her low approval numbers and Joe Biden’s advanced age by making the 2024 campaign more about Harris and the chance she could become president, especially as questions about the president’s mental acuity continue to define his own candidacy.” The fiends! Harris, however, is as confident as she is commanding: she “doesn’t worry Biden will lose to Trump – but she does worry about losing ‘to the couch.’”
Once again: what? Losing to the couch? Does the dining room set have a chance? Whatever Harris’ worries about the furniture may be, she “tends to end the often strung-out conversations with a reassuring ‘By the way, we’re gonna win.’” They very well could, and propaganda pieces such as this nonsense from CNN will play their part.
But CNN’s cheerleading for Harris is less important for how it portrays her than it is for what it means for Old Joe. Have the people who are running the Biden regime turned on its primary figurehead? The signs that they have are piling up.

People Who Say Trump is Mean Don’t Know What Mean Is
I am sick of people complaining Trump is “mean.” So what’s their alternative to Trump? Democrats or RINOs (same thing).
This means their alternative to “meanness” includes things like: living under Sharia law; destroying the middle class so everyone is either an elite living off the government, or an impoverished ward of the state living off a meager SSI check; returning to horse and buggies, with feces and manure everywhere, after mass mandates for electric cars fail catastrophically; pain and discomfort due to the elimination of fossil fuels and the resulting collapse of the electric grid; mental AND physical terror and fear caused by the eradication of free speech and elimination of the ability to defend oneself (after the First and Second Amendments go); and the transformation of mankind’s greatest military into a dark and psychotic drag show, leaving us at the mercy of all the ruthless invasions awaiting us with no borders or defense.
THESE things are mean, you idiots. Not Trump!
When a government becomes politicized and weaponized, you don’t stop the destruction of its victims through the mechanisms of that very government. The judges, regulators, courts and agencies can no longer be trusted to administer justice or ensure freedom. Elections are not trustworthy because the Uniparty running the elections will ensure victory even when they’re defeated. The military — top brass, not the rank and file — is now run by traitors who all but openly take the side of our worst enemies: Iran, Hamas, China.
Trump’s growing legal and financial predicament will only worsen, because the rotten, corrupt, politicized system will defeat him every single time. Notice how Trump is losing every single case, decisively and in an unprecedented way. The system is more awful and evil than even its worst critics can grasp. Trump is their example. They will destroy him, his family and the rest of us who are dissenters, because … well, it’s what malignant tyrants do.
You can’t reform the unreformable. You will not vote a tyranny out of office. You don’t cure cancer, or an infestation of roaches or rodents, by yelling at it; you attack it at the core, if you can, and you eradicate it. Like America did to the Nazis, the Japanese and other tyrants, when America was a better nation than it is today.
Most of all, you Republicans who hope that Trump is coming to our rescue and all will soon be well, you can’t count on a system more sinister and corrupt than the worst group of mobsters to become accountable enough to suddenly start becoming just, fair and rational at its own expense. This will all get worse, because by its very nature it has to do so. Even if Trump wins, it will get worse, because everyone responsible for the travesty we still call a government must be arrested, tried and convicted as traitors and, quite literally, war criminals. This includes the entire top tiers of the Biden and Obama regimes, and much of the Republican Party too (Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, so many others). The “deep state”, the rancid system of crony socialism and Communism we now have, will not go quietly. It won’t go at all, until it’s forced to go. Putting Trump back in the White House will NOT be enough.

An Unhinged Judicial System Unleashes Itself on Trump
A leftist New York judge rules that Donald Trump must pay over $350 million in a civil fraud case.
Most will base their reaction to this on how they feel about Trump. Few will think of the precedent and principle involved. Now, in America, it’s permissible for courts and judges who dislike a political candidate to punish that candidate by inventing new laws and unprecedented settlements to keep that candidate out of office, and to punish him for past policies. Ditto for the dozens of felony charges Trump faces — for laws that never existed before he became an ex-President, and aren’t even laws at all. Our entire government has become Machiavellian: the ends justify the means. If you dislike a man and can’t find a law he has broken … why, just make up a law. And convict him.
Democrats (and their RINO enablers) will cheer this development, because it means Republicans and their policies are now against the law. Oh, won’t this come back to bite them! Because once you give the government unchecked, unlimited power of this kind, they will eventually be coming for YOU too, Democrats and RINOs. If you have children or grandchildren, be afraid for the world being left to them. It has nothing to do with Trump. It’s not a conspiracy at all. It’s called a tyranny.
“The reality is, what we complain about in Russia is happening right here in the United States of America,” Donald Trump Jr. told Newsmax. “The facts of the law don’t matter. Your party affiliation and where you live is going to be the determining factor from now on in our courts of law.”
“They’ve shown that now, time and time again, and it’s absolutely disgusting.”
They will not stop until they’re made to stop. Like the Nazis and Japanese in World War II were made to stop.
Who will stop them?

A Woke Society is a Weak Society
An appearance of corrupt influence or nefarious motive, and then handed out to the vast constellation of non-profit NGOs, activist organizations, think tanks, and academic programs that subsist almost entirely on such money, where it can find a way to “inspire change.” …
This means the foundations have truly tremendous influence over public policy, because every nominally independent think tank, for example, automatically tailors its projects to attract the blessing of their funding. …
Today this means there are massive tides of woke capital hard at work changing the world. … The inertia is now immense. …
But even the foundations, despite their zeal and close relationship with government, may ultimately wield only a shadow of the influence exerted more quietly by titans of finance like the “Big Three” asset managers, BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street. With a collective $22 trillion in assets under management, and owning an average of 22% of the typical S&P 500 company, these three firms have the power to dictate corporate policy across the world …
Because these firms’ leaders are now woke (or at least see advantage in acting woke), there is now, as Vivek Ramaswamy has explained in detail in Woke, Inc., constant pressure on companies to get woke too, or face losing critical access to capital. …
20. Leviathan has a’woken. In the end, it may be that “revolution” isn’t quite the right word for Wokeness after all. Real revolutions characteristically replace one elite with another, redistributing their wealth and power. True, this is happening at the individual level, with many a white male manager finding himself suddenly replaced by someone younger and “more diverse.” But at the broader level this is a “revolution” that has been embraced wholeheartedly by the leadership of the elite, who show little fear that they will ever be replaced as a class. Indeed they seem to have adopted woke ideology as a wonderfully useful tool for reinforcing their position while punishing their inter- and intra-class rivals.
Nonetheless, the set of old ideas we call woke will fail and subside, as they always do — because they do not work. A woke society is a weak society. It will succumb to competition or conquest by non-woke societies, or change from within, just as hunter-gatherers have always succumbed to civilization.

What’s Wrong with the World
“The home planet of an emerging technical civilization, struggling to avoid self-destruction.”
-Carl Sagan, Cosmos
Then I saw what was wrong with the world, I saw what destroyed men and nations, and where the battle for life had to be fought. I saw that the enemy was an inverted morality—and that my sanction was its only power. I saw that evil was impotent—that evil was the irrational, the blind, the anti-real—and that the only weapon of its triumph was the willingness of the good to serve it. Just as the parasites around me were proclaiming their helpless dependence on my mind and were expecting me voluntarily to accept a slavery they had no power to enforce, just as they were counting on my self-immolation to provide them with the means of their plan—so throughout the world and throughout men’s history, in every version and form, from the extortions of loafing relatives to the atrocities of collectivized countries, it is the good, the able, the men of reason, who act as their own destroyers, who transfuse to evil the blood of their virtue and let evil transmit to them the poison of destruction, thus gaining for evil the power of survival, and for their own values—the impotence of death. I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win—and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was “No.”

A Western Consensus Is Brewing
By J.B. Shurk

There have been murmurs for at least the last ten years about the potential for civil war in the United States. Polls have shown that roughly half the country believes that future conflict is likely. The intrusion of unchecked government power into every crevice of our private lives has transformed politics into a high-stakes cage match in which furious citizens fight to survive. Because government exerts so much control over citizens, winning control of government has become an existential imperative. Such zero-sum thinking has fractured society and pitted Americans against one another.
However, something fundamental has been shifting beneath our feet. If you look at how civil conflict has been discussed on websites and internet forums over recent years, a noticeable trend emerges. Talk of “civil war” between various coalitions of states transformed into calls for “independence” from tyrannical government on par with America’s 1776 founding. In turn, calls for an American-style “revolution” against government abuse have transformed into the kind of rage against a “permanent ruling class” that existed before the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror.
This shift is significant. “Civil war” connotes a feeling that Americans will be fighting one another. A “1776-style struggle for Independence” reflects a belief that the federal government must be brought to heel. Widespread discussions of how to rid the country of an unaccountable bureaucracy with more allegiance to fellow globalists from the World Economic Forum than to fellow citizens from America’s heartland reveal a growing recognition of and antipathy for an entrenched ruling aristocracy.
Governments don’t mind when citizens quarrel. In fact, that old “divide and conquer” scheme is Washington’s favorite tactic for keeping Americans too busy fighting one another to notice what kind of mischief is going on in D.C. Governments would prefer that citizens not speak about “freedom” or “liberty” because those ideas are antithetical to bureaucratic mandates, institutional power-grabs, and rhetorical appeals to authority. Still, so long as an Orwellian news media establishment and a Machiavellian political class can work together to impugn “liberty” as “selfish” or “hateful,” then the powers that be largely succeed in twisting the meaning of “freedom” into a love for Big Government policies or a patriotic subservience to the State. However, when ordinary people begin to set aside their differences and instead turn their fury toward those holding the reins of power, well, Katie, bar the door — trouble’s brewing!
There is an understandable tendency to look at the growth of government-directed censorship, warrantless surveillance, and political persecution as proof that Americans will soon be under the yoke of full-fledged totalitarianism. That is a real and threatening possibility. However, petulant and steel-booted policies meant to terrorize and dishearten citizens also reflect a growing fear among the “ruling elite.” You do not spend three years hunting down patriotic grandmas and selfless veterans who attended the J6 protest for free and fair elections unless you are terrified that a critical mass of people sees rampant election fraud as a Uniparty weapon for maintaining illegitimate control. You do not set up “disinformation” review boards or pretend public debate is a “threat to national security” unless you are frightened of what ordinary people have to say. You do not spy on people’s financial transactions, text messages, and social media posts unless you view every single American as a danger to the State. Rapid technological advancements have given government authorities unsavory tools for pursuing unconstitutional, illegal, and immoral policies against the American people, but those authorities would not be so openly hostile to the public or flagrantly dismissive of their constitutional obligations if they were not already afraid.
They should be. The single greatest social transformation in several centuries is occurring right now. A transnational consensus is growing among ordinary citizens that coercive government is dangerous wherever it exists.
No longer does a Cold War mentality successfully corral national populations into an “East vs. West” or “Us vs. Them” cognitive prison. Western governments that conveniently partition the world into “democracies” and “autocracies” betrayed their own distinction when they imposed COVID policies as brutally stringent as those of any communist dictatorship. No longer do our puppeteers successfully divide us into two opposing camps — one fighting unrestrained government power and the other fighting unrestrained corporate power. The illusion of self-government has been shattered, and a broader public appreciation has taken hold that recognizes the convergence of financial and political interests at the expense of democratic principles and human rights. No longer are those most eager to profit from the death and destruction of war capable of flipping a switch to turn patriotic citizens into willing sacrifices for a “ruling class” that never seems to have common people’s best interest in mind. Decades of costly wars with questionable strategic aims, battlefield betrayals, the moral ambiguity of occupying foreign lands, the resettling of millions of foreigners into our homelands, and the constantly shifting definition of which nation, group, or tribe is now the “enemy” have all produced much more discerning civilians unwilling to die for Bill Kristol’s, Hillary Clinton’s, Nikki Haley’s, or Liz Cheney’s next call to arms.null
The U.S. and other Western governments know this to be true. It is why the United Kingdom’s new “Online Safety Act” criminalizes the publishing of “false information,” unless that false information is coming from mainstream media corporations. It is why the European Union’s “Digital Services Act” seeks to stifle public debate on social media platforms. It is why the U.S. Senate is pushing through legislation ostensibly meant to protect children from online threats and to protect adults from the dangers of Chinese propaganda that will nonetheless be used to censor “politically incorrect” and un-“woke” points of view from the internet. It is why the Biden administration is funding A.I. research programs that can be used to seek and destroy government-defined “misinformation.” It is why the White House successfully pressured Amazon to suppress the sale of disfavored books. And it is why political figures across the West had a conniption fit when they discovered that Tucker Carlson was conducting a journalistic interview with Russian president Vladimir Putin. Such is the state of free speech in the West that a panoply of petty tyrants representing America, the U.K., and continental Europe all called for Carlson to face severe punishment for having the temerity to engage in unsanctioned journalism. The blurry line between “democracies” and “autocracies” has vanished.
This should not have to be said, but no society can be described as “free” unless that society can engage in free speech. Likewise, there can be no free speech unless the public is free to criticize and disagree with the government. Any government that claims a monopoly to determine what is true is a government hostile to dissent, debate, and democratic self-rule.
Western governments have so betrayed their duties to act as custodians of Enlightenment-inspired human rights that they have become as tyrannical as the tyrants against whom they posture. They are now little more than a collection of feudal lords using the trappings of their offices to enrich an insular “ruling class” while impoverishing and diminishing the masses.

Through a lot of unnecessary pain and discomfort, national populations have discovered this hard truth for themselves. “Green energy”–induced inflation has cut a hole in every struggling citizen’s pocket, while “green energy”–inspired regulations have devastated the livelihoods of every worker. “Green energy” zealots have targeted Western farmers, miners, laborers, and machinists for cancelation. The World Economic Forum’s “green new world order” seeks to eliminate private property, private communications, private transportation, and private transactions. The heart of human freedom is on the line. And, increasingly, Western populations are concluding that Western governments and corporations deserve the blame.
