How to Handle Your Leftist Associates

Don’t indulge friends, neighbors, or co-workers who have bought into fake news. If they’re on board with the fiction, don’t argue or try to defend the truth. Simply explain that you don’t deal in fantasy and change the subject. If they won’t let it go, turn away. You’ll never change their perception, but you can save your own sense of reality and salvage your personal peace of mind by opting out. (from AmericanThinker.com)

Hanging out with delusional, hateful people probably isn’t the best idea anyway. Develop solitary habits, enjoy pets and nature and ultimately quality people will find their way into your life. It really works.

GoFundMe reverses ban on Kyle Rittenhouse fundraisers, says a headline.

Well, Facebook? Where’s the apology? The compensation? For punishing people over the last year who defended Kyle Rittenhouse by accusing them of “advocating violent, illegal behavior”? Or, like other tyrants, fascists and totalitarians — do you never admit you’re wrong?

AYN RAND quote: “Do not consider collectivists as sincere but deluded idealists. The proposal to enslave some men for the sake of others is not an ideal; brutality is not idealistic, no matter what its purpose. Do not ever say that the desire to do good by force is a good motive. Neither power-lust nor stupidity are good motives.”

Breitbart headline: “Report: Hunter Biden profited from Joe Biden Losing Energy Race With Communist China.” In other words: Biden’s deliberate (and successful) efforts on day one of his regime to reverse America’s energy independence achieved under President Trump’s term is no accident. The Biden family personally profits from that appalling policy.

Loathsome. Beyond words. The father should be impeached, and the father and son should be arrested, convicted and imprisoned. It won’t happen, because our media and government are dominated by equally loathsome frauds and criminals.

Here we go:

Dr. Anthony Fauci has cautioned that health officials may change the definition of “fully vaccinated” to include COVID-19 booster shots – if the data suggests it.

So booster shots into oblivion–otherwise no travel, no restaurants, no job, no medical care, no income … nothing. Unless you’re an illegal migrant. If you don’t call this totalitarian, then what do you call it?

And, once again: If you can still get the virus, and you need booster shots indefinitely into the future, THEN IT’S NOT A VACCINE.

Turkey of the Year: Joe Biden

Ever since the Ringside Politics program started 22 years ago, we have enjoyed an annual tradition. Every year, during Thanksgiving week, we announce our Turkey of the Year winner. Our previous award recipients have included both celebrities and politicians, as well as Republicans and Democrats.

Our 2020 winner was former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. He was chosen for combining sanctimonious media performances with shady ethical conduct and potentially criminal behavior involving numerous female victims. Eventually, his unacceptable activity involving these women contributed to his forced resignation.

Like Andrew Cuomo our 2021 award winner is a real turkey in every respect. As usual, this year, we allowed our fantastic audience members to offer their nominations. While many people were nominated, there was one overwhelming favorite for 2021 Ringside Politics Turkey of the Year, resident Joe Biden.

In the 2020 campaign, candidate Joe Biden pledged to govern as a moderate President who would end extremist policies. He also promised to “heal” America and bring people together. In fact, the exact opposite has occurred. As resident, Biden has pursued an extreme left-wing agenda that has divided the country.

Biden has performed so miserably as President that his latest approval rating is only 36%. It has been steadily dropping for the last several months as problems have been mounting and Biden has been preoccupied with his extreme agenda. Clearly, the American people are suffering from the impact of his policies.

Of course, Biden has no mandate for his progressive policies. He barely edged President Donald Trump in a disputed election. Biden’s Democratic Party has an extremely thin majority in Congress, while Republicans control more governorships and state legislative bodies.

In the 2020 election, Joe Biden and the Democrat Party did not win an overwhelming victory. It was nothing like the triumphs of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) in the election of 1932 or President Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) in the 1964 election.

Those Presidents won landslides and had popular support for massive expansions of government. Thus, FDR launched the “New Deal” programs and LBJ fulfilled his vision of a “Great Society.” At those times in American history, voters supported a much larger role for government.

Today, despite Biden’s embrace of socialism, America is a center-right nation ideologically. If the midterm elections were held now, the Republicans would sweep to power in Congress because of the failure of the Democrats and resident Biden.

For example, Biden inherited a stable southern border with a low rate of illegal immigration. By ending construction of the border wall, reinstituting the “catch and release” policy and terminating President Trump’s “remain in Mexico” program, the situation has deteriorated significantly.

In 2021, over two million individuals from every continent of the world will illegally enter the country at our southern border. These individuals are not being evaluated for COVID-19 or vaccinated, even though Americans are facing such mandates. The Biden administration is also sending these people to areas all over the country, without the support or knowledge of local communities.

Sadly, our cities are under siege. The Biden administration has shown extraordinarily little assistance for local police officers. With vaccine mandates now leading to more officers leaving departments across the country, it is no surprise that crime is escalating in American cities. With the addition of several million new residents from foreign countries, crime will surely increase even more in 2022.

Adding to this problem are over 100,000 immigrants from Afghanistan. Many of these individuals have not been properly vetted and have few, if any, applicable job skills to contribute to our economy. It is another reminder of the President’s embarrassing withdrawal of American military forces from Afghanistan.

This debacle resulted in the needless death of thirteen brave American military service members and the gift of $85 billion in military hardware to the Taliban, the terrorist organization that now controls Afghanistan. Despite promising never to leave Americans behind in Afghanistan, Biden abandoned possibly thousands of our citizens to the mercy of barbaric terrorists. Their eventual fate is unknown and seems to be of little concern to Biden and his pathetic administration.

Biden’s biggest political headache is the poor economy. Upon taking office, he shut down the Keystone XL pipeline and placed a moratorium on new oil and gas drilling in federal territory. He also suspended all drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, ended fossil fuel subsidies and announced the entire federal government vehicle fleet will be converted to electric.

In effect, he declared war on the fossil fuel industry. The result is that gasoline prices have skyrocketed over $1.00 per gallon in the last year. In response, the President focuses on “green energy.” In the recently passed $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill, Democrats inserted a multitude of “green energy” initiatives.

Not Guilty

Wow. Not Guilty across the board. Evil and stupidity are everywhere. But rationality and justice can still prevail. Watch the bad guys go stark raving mad. Not that the woke commies running our culture (though not all of our courts) aren’t already stark raving mad. There is a civil war in America, and this (like the Virginia election) is another victory — specifically, for the Second Amendment and (more broadly) for the good guys. They will call you a “white supremacist” for upholding the individual right of ALL people, of ALL races, to defend themselves against violent thugs.

The foaming at the mouth has begun. Here’s a sample, from an MSNBC headline: “Kyle Rittenhouse trial was designed to protect white conservatives who kill”. What they’re really implying is that self-defense is ONLY for white people. Do people of color not also have a need for, and a right to, the Second Amendment? And, because these Marxist racial supremacists at MSNBC ARE, in fact, racist– they cannot conceive of anyone killing other than for racial reasons. They have no concept of the need for self-defense, which is not in any way a racial issue. I truly loathe this way of thinking. It’s inhuman, it’s profoundly unjust and it’s the reason our civilization is divided and disintegrating.

For a year, Facebook has said that it’s “sanctioning violence and illegal behavior” to post support of Kyle Rittenhouse. What does Facebook say now? Or do acquittals only count when it’s the verdict they want? Of course, the question answers itself.

Joe Biden is reportedly “angry and concerned” by the Rittenhouse verdict. Biden, his regime and all who support him are loathsome, disgusting tyrants. I consider all of them advocates of domestic terrorism. We are an occupied country as long as they hold any power.

#1 Fear of leftists:

Free speech, because it exposes their lies and logical fallacies.

#2 Fear of leftists:

The Second Amendment, which makes free speech possible.

Hence the unbridled shrieking, name calling and threats of violence after Kyle Rittenhouse’s acquittal for self-defense. Hear it for what it is: TERROR.

DemComs, like all narcissists, condemn self-interest in others. Hence their loathing of Kyle Rittenhouse, who practiced autonomous self-preservation, something that enrages them. But for themselves, they claim unlimited wealth, perks, rights and favors. DemComs and all leftists are bad, toxic and truly sick. It’s dangerous to let them near power, and it’s why our country is in the most mortal danger since at least World War II, and arguably ever.I believe we are already in a civil war. It does not involve formal armies, and probably never will. It does get violent, however. Liberty lovers do not initiate violence, but leftists, being brutal totalitarians, do. So far, they do so underhandedly, by selectively standing down when BLM and Antifa terrorists commit crimes, while trumping up or manufacturing claims of crimes against Trump or Republican supporters (the 1/6 fiasco and subsequent imprisonment of American citizens without any due process). Use of government force against peaceful citizens for the sole reason of political disagreement is, in my view, an act of civil war. Just today, Biden has tacitly called for violence against supporters of Kyle Rittenhouse, by his almost comical call for “peaceful protests.” There’s nothing peaceful about these people. When he says “peaceful” (or reads what his handlers tell him to say), we know exactly what he means.

The American Revolution and the first American Civil War were riddled with early defeats for the sides that ultimately prevailed in those very difficult conflicts. Perhaps one day the victorious defenders of American liberty and property rights will look back on the Virginia governor’s race and the Kyle Rittenhouse acquittal as two key victories after an initial period of total defeat. Whatever the ultimate outcome, we are writing those chapters now.

Not All of Kyle Rittenhouse’s Generation are Snowflakes and Socialists

The American colonists and settlers of its frontier would not recognize a nation where a young man would be put on trial for murder merely because he defended himself against armed criminals. But let it never be said that all members of Kyle Rittenhouse’s generation are snowflakes. HE certainly is not. And he represents that best of the American spirit of independence and sovereignty over one’s life that once made our country great, and hopefully will again.

Ayn Rand, back in the 1970s, spoke to the deeper issue at stake in the Kyle Rittenhouse case of 2021: self-defense.

The necessary consequence of man’s right to life is his right to self-defense. In a civilized society, force may be used only in retaliation and only against those who initiate its use. All the reasons which make the initiation of physical force an evil, make the retaliatory use of physical force a moral imperative.

If some “pacifist” society renounced the retaliatory use of force, it would be left helplessly at the mercy of the first thug who decided to be immoral. Such a society would achieve the opposite of its intention: instead of abolishing evil, it would encourage and reward it. (Ayn Rand)

Communists, tyrants, fascists and all manner of emotional abusers HATE it when you fight back. Yesterday was such a good day for justice.

The Bidenistas Continuing War on the American Economy

It keeps getting better and better.

Biden’s pick for Comptroller of the U.S. currency:

Saule Omarova, a law professor at Cornell University, suggested earlier this year during a virtual event that “a lot of small players in [the coal, oil, and gas industries] are going to probably go bankrupt in short order – at least we want them to go bankrupt if we want to tackle climate change.”

In her academic writings, she has advocated for transferring standard checking accounts and savings accounts from private banks to the Federal Reserve. [Fox News]

**********************

Corrupt governments debase the currency by “printing” money to support the unsustainable spending. Prices go up. Next, government blames the stores, oil companies and businesses for being “greedy” and “price gouging.” What comes next? Price controls. Government forces prices to go lower than the law of supply and demand dictate. Price controls mean shortages. This means empty shelves and gas lines. Price controls are coming next.

Bidenistas are already screaming price gouging. You’re about to see Communism in action, and shortages that make the present seem like nothing after executive orders force prices to be too low to handle the demand for gas, food, everything. Unless, of course, we massively reverse absolutely everything we’re doing 180 degrees. I don’t think that will happen.

**********************

Once in awhile, Republicans act like an opposing party. McCarthy won the battle, and it’s commendable; but our Communist opponents are ruthless, amoral tyrants determined to prevail in the war to turn America into a dictatorship.

“I’ve had enough. America has had enough,” McCarthy added in a speech that cataloged a list of Republican grievances, some related to the bill and some not.

Dozens of Republicans, some sitting directly behind McCarthy, urged him on. Democrats on the other side booed, and some tweeted snickering replies.

“Loved it,” said Rep. Greg Pence, R-Ind., the brother of former Vice President Mike Pence. “This is a historical moment for Kevin, for sure.”

McCarthy broke House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s own speechmaking record just before 5 a.m. Friday. He ended around 5:10 a.m.

The tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee … asserts Biden’s tax enforcement plan will result in an additional 1.2 million IRS audits each year. Nearly half of the audits would impact families earning less than $75,000, while roughly one-quarter of the audits would affect Americans earning up to $25,000 per year. The Republicans say the plan will also result in 800,000 more federal tax liens against taxpayer property, including homes and vehicles.

“[Joe] Biden wants to double Americans’ chances of getting audited in order to squeeze every single dollar they can from American families and small businesses to fund the most expensive piece of legislation in history,” McCarthy said in a statement. “This would be a nightmare state for families living in fear of an army of IRS bureaucrats designed to second-guess and spy on them.” [Fox Business]

Leaving a Legacy: The Power of History on the Hearts of Boys

Until recently, boys grew up emulating real-life heroes who seemed larger than life. Coonskin caps and six-shooters were the uniforms of boyhood. Boys were enthralled with tales about Daniel Boone, John Glenn, and Davy Crockett. Flannelgraph images taught us about the courage of Noah, the faith of Moses, and the collapse of a giant at the hands of a young shepherd boy. We celebrated in the heroic deeds of George Washington, Paul Revere, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Meriwether Lewis, and William Clark. We reveled in stories about the Sons of Liberty, the Green Mountain Boys, the Rough Riders, and the Texas Rangers. At Thanksgiving, we heard the stories of Squanto and Massasoit, William Bradford and William Brewster, and we learned about the daring pilgrims who risked all for religious freedom.

Today, rather than exalting men for their significant contributions, our culture is dismissing the heroism of fathers and forefathers and choosing instead to emphasize their shortcomings. Statues of men are disappearing as history is rewritten to cater to sanitized non-toxic definitions of masculinity. In a world void of strong courageous heroes and sterilized of risk, boys are disappearing into fantasy. Superheroes replace real-life role-models and virtual video games become substitutes for real-life challenges.

Theodore Roosevelt understood the importance of history and identity. He wrote, “It is a base untruth to say that happy is the nation that has no history. Thrice happy is the nation that has a glorious history. Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat. . . Freedom from effort in the present merely means that there has been stored up effort in the past…Thank God for the iron in the blood of our fathers.”

Our concept of democracy is rooted in courage and character. It was nurtured through common vision, servant leadership, risk, and adventure. The Pilgrims were characterized by their determination to throw off shackles, secure religious freedom, and create a new way of life. Pioneering American families banded together to explore the new world. They lived on boats and survived in shelters until they could construct new homes, craft a new civilization, and cultivate a new government. As the nation grew, families crossed over the mountains, camped across prairies, and hewed communities out of the wilderness.

The words written into the Constitution and the Bill of Rights express the ideals and accomplishments of life as the founders themselves experienced it. These are not documents of intangible ideas, but the results of pragmatism and hard work put into words that express a revolutionary concept of democratic living.

Where do boys engage with these founding experiences that made our country great? Where can they encounter men who embody this courage, risk, and innovative thinking?

As leaders of boys, we should embrace the heroism that built this nation and be dedicated to encouraging godly young men full of character and leadership potential. If we erase our history in an attempt to get rid of the shortcomings of our forefathers, we invariably lose the legacy of their greatness. Part of what makes scripture so inspiring is that great heroes like David, Moses, Abraham, Elijah, Samson, Noah, Jonah, and Peter were both heroic and flawed. They failed, stood up, brushed themselves off and failed again—AND they achieved great things. The good news is that we have a history of men “filled with grace and power” who “through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength.”

These are the stories boys need to hear! Boys need risk and reward, and they languish where there is a lack of physical, mental, and spiritual challenge. As the country gathers to reflect during this holiday season, let us use this time of thankfulness to be grateful to those who dared to dream big, enact change, and build this great nation. Let us tell stories and honor our history for the boys of America so that they will learn from and adopt the positive defining attributes of our ancestors that made our nation great.
