The Public Lynching of Trump and Coming Civil War

The New York trial of Donald J. Trump is a public lynching. Lady Justice never entered the courtroom. She was not even in the building. And the worst awaits us all.

Trump has been placed in an American version of the Tower of London to languish while the Crown’s clowns besmirch his character, and soon a minority of four jurors will convict. The judge essentially instructed the jury to convict any way it wished. It did not even have to specify a crime has been committed.

Immediately upon conviction, the Democrat Party will declare Trump a felon and his continued candidacy a threat to democracy. The party will have his name stricken from ballots; some jurisdictions may simply disqualify and refuse to count ballots cast for Trump. The internet dons may make his name and candidacy disappear tomorrow. The identical strategy works if there is a “miscarriage of justice” and Mr. Trump not convicted.

It is not just Donald Trump’s freedom that is on trial. That is why this gross abuse of the American judicial system and its politics may result in a victory for the man on trial. American voters may issue their own trial verdict and repudiate the Democrat Party campaign strategy. Last time around, Russia, Russia, Russia worked. This time it will be felon, felon, felon. We shall see.

If Trump still wins in November, the Democrats will only have one path forward. They will seek to overturn the vote of the people. The irony of that choice, the rejection of a duly elected president of the United States by the party that lost the election, may just launch America into its second civil war. Or, if allowed to stand, will erase “of, for and by the people …”

A Democrat victory after this disgraceful episode would mean America will elect all future presidents in much the same way Russia repeatedly elects Vladimir Putin.

History will take note of the irony. If the Democrat Party is successful, it will mean Donald J. Trump was the last duly elected president of the United States. That election was held in 2016. It will be the Democrats who killed democracy, or more accurately, the republic.

The only intersection that would matter during such times, would be a repudiation of the New York court decision by the United States Supreme Court. Congress is worthless in this struggle. This Democrat manufactured crisis is more serious to the nation’s survival than the secession of the states was in 1850. Even then half the country was going to end slavery. Come to think of it, Democrats were the cause of that bloody civil war too.

Only Idiots Surrender their Liberties

“No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.”

— Samuel Adams, 1775

So true. It was said in different ways by different founders of America. Some said that without morality, freedom was doomed. However you define morality, it includes a sense of self-responsibility and individualism whereby you respect the same in others. Morality and individualism go hand in hand, just like the Bill of Rights implies individualism, and vice-versa.

Over the last several generations especially, American culture has morphed from individualism into amorality, subjectivism, and the kind of “nonjudgmentalism” that inevitably seems to lead to heightened restrictions by government. The cultural experts start by saying: “Don’t worry about morality, anything goes,” and the government ends it all by saying, “Leave morality up to us. We’ll decide what’s right, and what’s wrong.” Because if people eschew the responsibility of objective judgment, then you better believe others will pick up the task for you.

You cannot live independently, and in freedom, without thinking. If you won’t think for yourself — well, you get the spectacle of Joe Biden and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC and those shrews on The View doing your thinking for you. And having their idiocy codified into law.

Most of the people that most of us rely on today for intelligence, “expertise” and wisdom in the affairs of man have no remote grasp of what I just wrote. And they don’t wish for you to understand it, either. Because the moment you do understand the value and power of independent thinking, their whole enterprise is overthrown. But not a moment sooner.

In Memoriam: Freedom

Richard Ruggiero writes:

“This Memorial Day think about how we’ve betrayed all the men who fought and died for their beloved America.”

I entirely agree. We won’t get out of this mess with false optimism or playing Pollyanna.

Sadly, on our present course, we don’t just need Memorial Day for fallen soldiers who died for freedom. We will need Memorial Day for freedom itself.

If You Value Your Life, You Won’t be an Idiot

“Most of the trouble in the world is caused by people wanting to be important.”

True! But maybe not for the reasons you think.

If you’re healthy and decent, you view your life as important. Your LIFE is important — and therefore you are. But if you’re decent, you realize life is good. Not just your life — but everyone’s. This doesn’t mean you care about everyone’s life equally. That’s ridiculous. If you claim you value everyone else’s life more than yours, or even the same as yours, then you’re lying. You only have one life to live — and it’s your own. Of course your own is most important. Even if you’d die for your child or your beloved, it’s because of what that person means to YOUR life. Strangers are not the same.

The reason some people need to feel “important” is because they haven’t found value in their own life. Survival maybe, but that’s about it. No meaning, no purpose, no goals. Just survival. This leads such people to turn to others for unnecessary visibility. “If others applaud me, then I — and my life — are important.” No, that’s not true. And if you go down this path you’ll never be satisfied. If Hitler had never been stopped, and if he had achieved world domination, he would never have been satisfied, beyond a few hours or days, at most. He’d want more. And he would have destroyed even more people than he did.

I have noticed that depressed people don’t view life as important; therefore, it’s impossible for them to view their own lives as important. We talk about self-responsibility. But there’s no point to self-responsibility unless you care about the life your self-responsibility is to serve. We talk about today’s self-centered, “selfish” masses of people. But they’re not this way because they view life as important. If they really cherished and understood the potential life has to offer them, they’d yearn to rise to the occasion. Instead, they (literally or figuratively) live in their parents’ basements. That’s not what life is about. But if you believe that’s all there is, you’ll live that way.

It’s a bit of a paradox, but it’s true: If you view life as important, then you don’t need to be seen as important by others. You won’t charge through life trying to prove something. You’ll simply live it.

What Kind of Children do YOU Want to Raise ?

And my Georgia-born mother began telling us about the coming of the Nazi beast, the cattle cars, the gas chambers, and the murder of six million Jews, including babies and children and the lovely Anne Frank.

I will always honor my mother when I think of the words she spoke next: “Carol Ann and Pat, listen to me. I want to raise a family that will hide Jews.”

The Sanction of the Victimizers

I’m a huge fan of Ayn Rand. In her famous novel, Atlas Shrugged, she showed what happened if the “men of the mind” — the innovators, the capitalists, the ones who take all the risks and build our prosperity — went on strike. Everything would falter and collapse, gradually. She argued that the men of the mind too often feel guilty for their talent and their strength, which makes them vulnerable to the socialists and all the other moral leeches who impair or even destroy business and civilization. They do it primarily through trying to make productive, competent people feel guilty for their capabilities.

Even Ayn Rand, brilliant as she was, did not appear to anticipate the precise situation we have today. The capitalists who made billions under the system of (more or less) economic freedom — and then who turn on it, using their billions to destroy it. The most horrifying example: Bill Gates innovated in the tech market, and made billions — and now he’s openly, proudly buying up farms and financing mandatory “vaccines” in order to reduce the population. From innovation on the scale of a Randian hero — to true genocide, all within a decade or two. The same can be said of Mark Zuckerberg, George Soros and others, people who made a mega-fortune under the system of free enterprise they now use that money to destroy. Hollywood actors, musicians and other wealthy celebrities cheer them on, in essence saying: “Hey, I made millions and feel guilty for it. So now you will never do the same, because we’re going to become a Communist country.”

Rand called the moral capitulation of wealth creators to the statists and socialists “the sanction of the victim.” But today’s capitalists-turned-Communists (and they are EVERYWHERE) are not victims. They are victimizers. It’s a tragic sight to see, and it would be fascinating to get Ayn Rand’s take on it all, if she were still alive.

The Butcher is Gone; What’s Next for Iran ?

In the 24 hours after the unexpected death of the Islamic Republic’s president, Ebrahim Raisi, the following things happened: the BBC published a headline about his “mixed legacy,” the UN flew its flag at half-staff to honor him, and the U.S. Senate chaplain offered a prayer for him on the Senate floor.

Such morally bankrupt responses would shock Iranians who launched fireworks in cities across the country after his death, took to social media to celebrate it, and handed out candy in the street.

The question is whether the people celebrating on social media, and the ones keeping their disgust for the regime out of the limelight, can convulse the theocracy’s political system. In 50 days, according to Iranian law, the government must hold a presidential election. Will Iranians take to the streets in great numbers?

Never underestimate the Iranian people, who have consistently risen up over the last decade. The last regime-shaking protests were sparked by a young Kurdish Iranian woman, Mahsa Amini, 22, who died while she was in the custody of the morality police in 2022 for not wearing a headscarf.

Given Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s success last year in violently suppressing those protests—at least 516 people were killed, almost 900 injured, and 20,000 jailed—the 85-year-old won’t be squeamish in crushing rallies that again challenge the theocracy’s legitimacy.

But Khamenei must be wary because beneath the surface, Iran is essentially a volcano—a large magma pool of discontent always pressing against the security services, hunting for a weak point, a provocation, that will crack the fear that keeps back an eruption. Raisi’s death won’t likely produce a tremor, but whenever the regime’s security services confront the Iranian people, a fissure might happen.

One thing that won’t change is the Biden administration’s approach to Iran.

Although Raisi wasn’t the worst mullah that Khamenei could have advanced to the presidency in 2021 (there were a few even more brutal and religiously twisted), he was among those whose evil was clearly documented. Raisi earned the sobriquet “The Butcher of Tehran” when he served as the prosecutor general of the city between 1989 and 1994. He participated in a so-called death commission that ordered the executions of thousands of political prisoners in 1988. And yet, after his “election,” the Biden administration didn’t hesitate to try to reestablish another nuclear deal and some kind of peaceful regional modus vivendi with the Islamic Republic.

Our strategic reality is this: Iran could have Jack the Ripper as president and Joe Biden and his national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, would still choose to continue Barack Obama’s policy of engagement.

Look at What Leftists DO to Israel; Not What They Say

Today’s left in America–the ones who run and dominate everything–are, in practice, committed to Palestine, militant Islam, Iran and antisemitism. Verbally, they try to have it both ways. But look at what they do, not at what they say. What they DO: give money to Iran, tie Israel’s hands in trying to defend itself, and continue to fund and support open advocates of Israeli and Jewish genocide at America’s shockingly undeserving, prestigious colleges. Not Muslim genocide; with the left in charge, Muslims are just fine.

Biden regime # 2 Kamala Harris even implied support for the use of military force by America against Israel, a few weeks back. I think she’d be just fine with concentration camps, and not just for Jews.

If you support leftists (which means any Democrat or a growing number of RINOs), then you are actively supporting the destruction of Jews, the advancement of Muslim militancy and just one more means of destroying civilization. If you are Jewish and support leftists, then I cannot help you, and do not wish to try.
