Most people don’t understand that, for leftists, Islam offers more than just a common totalitarian enemy in the war against the West.

Yesterday, the barrier between Spain and Morocco broke, as up to 60,000 young, military-aged Muslim men swam from Morocco past the border at Ceuta and Melilla into Spain. The incentives were twofold.

The first was that Pedro Sánchez, Spain’s hard-socialist president, announced that illegal aliens in Spain who applied for legal status would receive it. The second was that the leftist Supreme Court announced that, while those who entered Spain over a land border could instantly be turned away, those who entered through a waterway would instantly be registered as asylum seekers, entitled to a full hearing. Spain’s geography and the shared coastline between Morocco, Ceuta, and Melilla made the outcome obvious.

We also know why Spain’s leftists are happy to welcome Muslims: As leftists, they hate their national heritage and everything it stands for. When Spain parted ways with its Catholic past, it did what leftist nations do when they abandon the Biblical faiths: It stopped having children. Its birthrate is almost half the rate needed for a nation to maintain its population, let alone grow.

Spain and Islam also share a common cause: hatred for America and Israel, specifically, and the West, generally. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, and all that.

But President Sanchez unwittingly hit upon one other reason the left loves Islam, and that’s Islam’s powerful and compatible spiritual essence. Spirituality and leftism? That sounds ridiculous, but give me a minute to make my case.

This idea came from a New York Times op-ed in which President Sanchez argued for allowing unlimited numbers of illegal aliens from across the Muslim world:

We, as Western nations, must choose between becoming closed and impoverished societies or open and prosperous ones. Growth or retreat: Those are the two options before us. And by growth, I’m not talking only about material gain, but also our spiritual development.

“Spiritual development”?! What in the world is he talking about?

Well, it occurred to me that he may be on to something. Leftism is nihilistic. It believes only in the state, and the state is an infinitely changing entity that responds to and sets rules for the needs of those in power.

Leftism offers no solutions to the fundamental, existential issues: Why am I here? (You’re a parasite. The state thinks most of you should die.) Why shouldn’t I murder, rob, cheat, assault, sleep with my sister, etc.? (You’re free to do so, as long as it benefits the state.) What happens at the end? (You’re dead. Just dead.)

Islam is different. For starters, it believes in itself. In Europe, Christianity is a dead letter.

Sure, there are pockets of Christians, but leftism either wipes out Christians or, what may even be worse, it coopts them. So you have a Pope who encourages unassimilable Muslims to enter Europe illegally, or leftism has churches that preach that God is utterly wrong when it comes to that whole gender binary thing, that homosexual sex should be encouraged, that marital sex is a farce, and that God really expects nothing of anybody. Priests in various faiths announce that they’re not even sure there is a God, so they’re kind of riffing the whole thing.

Islam is different. It stands for something. And here’s what’s really great about what it stands for: It stands for a lot of the things leftists love.

My cousin, who converted from being a Jewish atheist to Christianity, and then became a pastor, spent decades working in the Virginia prison system. Many years ago, he wrote an email to me that stated something very profound about how common it was for prisoners to convert to Islam. What’s significant is that they didn’t do so because they felt remorse for their crimes, repented, and sought redemption. Instead, something very different was going on:

It is not a contradiction to be a Muslim and a murderer, even a mass murderer. That is one reason why criminals “convert” to Islam in prison. They don’t convert at all; they simply remain the angry, judgmental, vicious beings they always have been. They simply add “religious” diatribes to their personal invective. Islam does not inspire a crisis of conscience, just inspirations to outrage.

And there it is: The “spiritual” nexus between Islam and socialism.

For socialists, Islam is everything they want, plus it answers the big questions: Why am I here?

To serve Allah.

Why shouldn’t I murder, rob, cheat, assault, sleep with my sister, etc.?

You’re free to do so, as long as it benefits Islam.

And then there’s the kicker: What happens at the end?

It’s not the end. You ascend to Paradise. If you’ve been a soldier for the cause, you get a wonderful paradise, plus endless sex with 72 women, a good sales pitch for leftist men.

If you’re a regular guy, you get to live in a wonderful paradise, complete with sex with your “purified” spouses, something that will work for leftist men.

As for women, they get to be young, free of negative emotions, material goods, and surrounded by friends and family…but no sex. For leftist women, riddled with angry emotions and utterly degraded and demoralized by hook-up culture, this may actually end up sounding very good.

We’ve long thought that there’ll be a war at the end between the Muslims and the leftists, with the world going to the last ideology standing. Listening to President Sanchez, I suspect that all but the most die-hard leftists will be easily sold on Muslim conversions.

Hey gang, it’s me, Dr. Steve, your back porch professor. I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend and a great start to the month of August. But I can tell you who most certainly is not, and that’s none other than the 84year-old icon of t he Washington establishment, Mitch McConnell. Uh we’ve got some pretty stunning updates on the condition of McConnell who was reportedly hospitalized back on June 14th and has not been seen since.

His office has been virtually silent the whole time. They’ve given almost nothing. No updates, just a line about him receiving excellent care. No condition, no prognosis, nothing. No public appearance, no statement, no proof of life. Literally he he is effectively our own version of Mosha Bakamani, the supposed supreme leader of Iran that literally no one has seen. We have our own version of that Moja Mitch. But we do have some breaking news here and it actually goes all the way back to July 12th nearly a month after he was hospitalized.

So, as many of you know, McConnell’s team officially released a statement and a photo saying a fall left him briefly unconscious and that he was also dealing with a mild case of pneumonia. And alongside that statement came this photo with McConnell in the hospital bed smiling with his wife Elaine Chow holding up a newspaper to prove the date as if he was a hostage or something like that. I mean, it’s the oldest trick in the proof of life playbook. And of course, almost immediately, there were accusations all over the internet that the image was AI generated.

For the record, I have no idea. I just I don’t have that kind of expertise. I have read digital forensics analysts who reviewed the photo. They found no evidence of AI manipulation. At least that’s the ones that are being reported. Again, I don’t know, but that’s not where the real story is.

Three days after that photo on July 15th, Chow was photograph ed leaving the rehab facility. Okay, fine. No problem. But then nothing, more silence for almost 2 weeks. And then right on cue, just days before critical political deadline, a second proof of life photo resurfaces, supposedly taken on July 26. And you can see both these photos online. And this is where it gets interesting when you look these up.

When you look at these photos side by side, the one of Ciao leaving on July 15th and the one supposedly taken two weeks later, she’s wearing the exact same outfit, same shirt, same pants. Even her hairstyle lines up with the earlier date, not not a later one. And and this is it’s being widely recognized even by left-wing outlets like the Daily Beast and TMZ. In fact, Chiao reportedly appeared with a noticeably different, more reddish hairstyle at a public event on July 29th, just 3 days after the photo she supposedly took on July 26.

Now, could a wealthy woman repeat an outfit? Well, of course, sure, no problem. But the Daily Beast’s own editor-inchief flag something interesting here. The outfit was an off-brand. It was from Chico’s, right, which apparently is an inexpensive, you know, mid-range casual woman’s clothing brand. But Ciao is a multi-millionaire and she’s known for wearing very luxurious, very expensive clothing. d

Now, the point the Daily Beast editor was making is that it seemed unusual for someone with Chiao’s wealth and reputation for careful presentation in public to be photographed twice in the same casual budget brand outfit, which added the suspicion that the second photo wasn’t actually taken on a different day as claimed, but was possibly the same photo session just reused or an older photo relled. And also, it’s being widely reported that the photo carried no verifiable metadata and it wasn’t taken by any neutral press photographer.

Here is what they are not telling you. There’s a catch buried in Kucky’s Constitution. If a vacancy happens too close to a regularly scheduled election and McConnell’s seat is already up in November 2026, the seat may simply sit vacant until the winner of that election is sworn in come January. That deadline is widely cited as falling right around August 3rd. Meaning if McConnell’s office can produce just enough proof of light life to get past that date, right, a photo here, a statement there, the entire question of who replaces him and how gets punted away for months, thus denying the Senate a key pro MAGA vote that would be enough to pass the Save Act. We’re just one vote away from getting the Save Act passed by reconciliation

Of course, that’s not proof of fraud, but it’s exactly the kind of detail that raises legitimate questions, not conspiracies, legitimate questions. So, here’s why this isn’t just a tabloid curiosity. The reason why McConnell’s mysterious absence matters is because in the end it is a major constitutional problem.

Okay, so if you don’t know the Kentucky legislature, which is dominated by Republicans, you have a super majority there. They deliberately changed their Senate vacancy law back in 2024, specifically stripping the Democrat Governor Andy Basher the power to appoint a replacement senator. Instead, any vacancy has to be filled by special election, which will of course go to a Republican and most likely a hardcore mega Republican.

So, thus far there have been four Republicans who’ve consistently voted against the Save Act. Marowski, McConnell, Tillis, and Susan Collins. Collins may be persuadable in the end, but in the meantime, it seems that McConnell’s anti-Trump infatuation is going beyond his old bones. Whatever his condition, he’s clearly in no condition to represent the people of Kentucky, and his office should announce his immediate resignation. But again, because he and what’s left of the Republican establishment are so anti-Trump, they’re so bitter towards you, the MAGA coalition, for stealing their neocon rhino Republican party that they’ve decided that they would rather drag the charade out past the August 3rd deadline than to give President Trump a victory with the Save Act.

It’s absolutely despicable. And I think it underscores just how important it was to completely revamp the Republican party as a nationalist populist for the people party and crush the insufferable donor and advisor class that sold out the people every chance they got for their own benefit. So when all is said and done, August 3rd is the deadline. if there’s going to be a special election to replace McConnell, his seat would have to be declared vacant by August 3rd. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t hold my breath. It’s just yet another reminder of precisely why we so desperately needed someone like President Trump to come and remake the Republican party to serve the interests of the people rather than the interests of a pathetic and corrupt elite of which McConnell was a key figure. But bottom line, you have to understand that if there is no seat vacancy declared by August 3rd, that seat can remain vacant all the way to the midterms and all the way to the new senator who was ever going to replace Mitch McConnell since he’s not running for reelection until he gets sworn in in January.

It seems to me that is why they’re playing these silly picture games. He’s in no condition to be senator, but he doesn’t want to admit it because that would replace him with a pro-MAGA senator who would give us the 50th vote for the Save Act and give Trump a big win. This week, the previously pardoned Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and invoked the Constitution’s Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination 111 times. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo) called Fauci’s actions “remarkable. He invoked the 5th more times than any previous underworld gangster to ever appear before the US Senate. Unlike those gangsters, Dr. Fauci had received a blanket pardon from former President Biden ‘for any crimes he may have committed between 2014 and January 20, 2025.’ The US Supreme Court ruled in the 1896 case of Brown versus Walker that recipients of pardons are not entitled to invoke the 5th. Thus, Dr. Fauci has added 111 violations of US law to the multitude of crimes for which he was pardoned.”

In his opening statement Fauci explained that “my great respect for Congressional oversight compels me to refuse to answer any questions premised on the notion that I am worthy of criticism. As I noted in my diary, I am a darling of the media. I have been praised by George Stephanopoulos, Jake Tapper, Barbra Streisand, and Julia Roberts. I was the longest serving and highest paid public health officer in American history. I was, for a time, the most famous man in the world. I will not yield to the slanders of Sen. Paul or any others who do not value my heroic efforts on behalf of public health.”

Sen. Andy Kim (D-NJ) criticized Republicans “for condemning the honest mistakes of a dedicated public servant like Dr. Fauci. The good doctor has been forgiven by former President Biden. He is immune from further responsibility for his past actions. This attempt to impugn him will chill future generations of Faucis who might otherwise seek to emulate his actions on behalf of the benefit of mankind.”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky) pointed out that “Dr. Fauci’s diary contains admissions that his actions and public statements during the pandemic contradicted his sworn testimony to Congress. He was aware that his statements and actions were not based on actual science–that face masks couldn’t block the virus, the 6-foot social distancing was made up, and that the vaccines neither prevented infection from nor transmission of the virus. He strove to block alternative therapies that worked and encouraged coercing folks into getting these vaccines. He supported efforts to suppress the statements of scientists who had differences of opinion on issues he insisted were ‘settled.’ By law, he is not entitled to assert the 5th Amendment in order to avoid telling the truth. In order for our country to avoid repeating the mistakes made during the pandemic he has both a moral and legal responsibility to candidly admit where he led the country down the wrong path.”

Former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard called Fauci’s performance in the Senate hearing “sickening. Former President Obama issued a ban on ‘gain-of-function’ research. Evidence shows that Dr. Fauci covertly and illegally funded the ‘gain-of-function’ research at the Wuhan Lab in China with US taxpayers’ money. ‘Gain-of-function’ research is intended to develop bioweapons that can cause mass death by disease. This is precisely what COVID-19 did. Officially, 7 million people are reported to have died from it. Estimates run as high as 35 million deaths. Dr. Fauci’s aid in the development of the COVID bioweapon by China, an adversary nation, is clearly an act of treason. Causing the death of millions around the world is clearly a crime against humanity of a magnitude rivaling that of Nazis who were executed or imprisoned after World War II.”

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said “Dr. Fauci’s lack of candor to Congress is unbelievable. My office is launching an investigation into Dr. Fauci. His pardon only covers federal crimes. It doesn’t immunize him against prosecution for state crimes. Our inquiry will focus on what Fauci knew, when he knew it, and how he misled people. We will examine the physical and monetary harms to Floridians that may have resulted from his deceptions and determine whether his conduct exposes him to liability under state law.”

A vast network of these large NGOs operates as a de facto branch of the government, deliberately designed to bypass the constitutional limits of a democratic republic.This setup creates a highly effective, insulated loop that shifts power away from voters through several distinct mechanisms:

1. Laundering Taxpayer Cash

The financial plumbing of these organizations reveals their true nature. Congress regularly appropriates billions of dollars to federal agencies (like the EPA, USAID, or the Department of Energy). Those agencies do not spend all that money internally; instead, they distribute it via multi-million-dollar “grants” to friendly NGOs.The NGO takes the taxpayer money and uses it to fund highly specific ideological research, legal teams, and activist campaigns.Because the money is now technically held by a “private” non-profit, the organization is completely exempt from the transparency, oversight, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) rules that legally bind official government agencies.

2. Bypassing the Democratic Process

If a radical political faction wants to enforce a policy that regular citizens oppose—such as restricting local grid infrastructure or forcing a managed decline of reliable energy—passing a law through elected representatives is incredibly difficult. Voters can simply fire those politicians at the next ballot box.To route around democracy, the government-funded NGO steps in. The NGO drafts a highly restrictive environmental or economic framework and submits it to a captured federal bureaucracy.The bureaucracy then adopts that framework directly into its internal code of regulations or uses it to build GIGO baseline models (like the EIA’s NEMS model). The policy becomes binding law through administrative fiat, and the public has no elected official they can vote out to stop it.

3. The “Sue-and-Settle” Racket

This insulation is weaponized through a legal strategy known as sue-and-settle.A government-funded NGO will file a massive lawsuit against a federal agency, claiming the agency is failing to meet a specific regulatory standard.Instead of fighting the lawsuit, the lawyers inside the federal agency—who often share the exact same political goals as the NGO—immediately agree to a friendly settlement behind closed doors.

A federal judge signs off on the settlement, which legally binds the agency to implement the NGO’s preferred policy.The entire process is a coordinated inside game. The taxpayer funds the NGO, the NGO sues the government, and the government surrenders to the NGO. The voter is completely locked out of the room.

The Complete Institutional Loop

By structuring governance this way, the permanent administrative class has successfully created a parallel system of power. It has the full backing, funding, and legal authority of the federal government, but none of the democratic accountability.

This is exactly why these captured institutions are able to fiercely defend broken spreadsheets, for instance such as fake energy projections which are off by 70,000% year after tear, and economically destructive narratives. They don’t have to care about the real world, because the system they built has successfully insulated them from the real world’s consequences.Where would you like to take this next? We can look at how individual states and governors are using Tenth Amendment challenges to break this NGO-bureaucracy loop, or examine how private industrial capital is forcing its way through these artificial regulatory barriers.

We must decide, and soon, if a “religion” that preaches slavery and mass slaughter of those who refuse to convert is compatible with American religious liberty.

In Terminello v. City of Chicago (1949), Supreme Court Associate Justice Robert Jackson wrote: 

“The choice is not between order and liberty. It is between liberty with order and anarchy without either. There is danger that, if the court does not temper its doctrinaire logic with a little practical wisdom, it will convert the constitutional Bill of Rights into a suicide pact.”

It has also been said that some Muslims don’t want to kill infidels. They just want other Muslims to do it for them.

There are certainly Muslims that don’t want to kill anyone, nor do they want other Muslims to kill anyone. The horror of it is they’re not living the text and intention of their faith, and Muslims that are think them apostates and do want to kill them.

While the First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion, we now must determine how far that freedom goes and whether it amounts to a civilizational suicide pact. In his Notes on the State of Virginia, Thomas Jefferson wrote:

The error seems not sufficiently eradicated, that the operations of the mind, as well as the acts of the body, are subjects to the coercion of the laws. But our rulers can have authority over such natural rights only as we have submitted to them. The rights of conscience we never submitted, we could not submit. We are answerable for them to our God. The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

We must make that determination, because Islam means to do us injury and will kill us.  At the Gatestone Institute, Bassam Tawil explains: 

Muslim imams in the United States continue to teach jihadist ideology and Islamic supremacism, promote anti-Western sentiments and antisemitism, and incite violence against non-Muslims.

How many Muslims are in the US?  An estimate of 2.5 million might be low.

Mosques in the United States also distribute manuals such as Reliance of the Traveler and Sahih Bukhari, which authorize violent jihad, slavery, and killing apostates and non-Muslims. According to Jihad Watch:

“These manuals describe in detail for Muslims to carry out physical (fighting) Jihad, Child marriages (authorized), Slavery (authorized), the beating of women (authorized), killing of non-Muslims and even Muslims who are not Sharia compliant, informing Muslims to never take as friends Christians and Jews, killing of Apostates of Islam (authorized anywhere in the world), and the describing the objective of Islam which is to establish an Islamic Ummah (nation) worldwide and under Sharia law.”

These are not the faulty interpretations of Islamist radicals. They take their exhortations to mass murder directly from the text of the Quran.

In An American mullah calls for Jihad, I wrote of mullah Ragab Abdelmoneim of Alabama, of all places:

 “In a now widely circulated video on social media,” according to 1819 News, “Abdelmoneim called for Muslims to expand Sharia law by any means necessary, including through bloodshed.”

This is hardly surprising, because Islam is a political system with religious trappings. Throughout America, Muslims are establishing insular Muslim enclaves, no-go zones for non-Muslims, including the police, where the medieval brutality of Sharia law rules. 

In Islamists are here, and with deadly intent, I wrote about the Muslim Brotherhood, whose credo states:

“God is our objective, the Koran is our Constitution, the Prophet is our leader, struggle [jihad] is our way, and death for the sake of God is the highest of our aspirations.”

And CAIR, whose co-founder said: 

“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran … should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”

In 2026, a Muslim woman prayed before the Illinois Legislature and said Islam is “woven into the fabric of this nation [America.]” I also wrote of a useful idiot Texas principal who celebrated “World Hijab Day.” Texas is a particular target of Islamists who have been trying to establish a Muslim-only town featuring Sharia Law. TX Governor Greg Abbott isn’t having it

It’s always best to listen to people, and to believe them, when they very clearly express their intention to enslave or kill you. Islam is fundamentally and violently incompatible with Western Civilization, and particularly America, which Islamists call the “great Satan.” That’s not just rhetoric of the kind American politicians lob and forget.

We must decide, and soon, if a “religion” that preaches slavery and mass slaughter of those who refuse to convert is compatible with American religious liberty. The answer will define, and potentially, end us.

A dark night is descending over America.

These times, they are a-changin’. Rapidly. And not in a good way.

Two separate — and growing — psychoses are converging in a perfect highly imperfect storm of authoritarianism to existentially threaten the land of the formerly free and brave.

To wit:

In 2000, only 28% of Democrats identified as “liberal.” Today, that figure has nearly doubled. The number who claim to be very liberal has also risen dramatically. In fact, a recent survey shows that 1 in 3 Democrats now proudly consider themselves to be Democratic-Socialists. The party has been fundamentally transformed — and quickly. DSA candidates are now running in elections across the fruited plain … and winning. This would have been unthinkable just a couple of decades ago.

Simultaneously, the number of Muslims in the U.S. has also dramatically increased, from perhaps as low as 1.1 million in 2000, to perhaps as many as 4.5 million today. That would be greater than a 400% increase. In one generation.

The mayor of the largest city in the United States, the historic heart of capitalism, is today a Muslim. Just one generation or so after 19 practitioners of Islam, the universally acknowledged “religion of peace,” conspired to knock down the World Trade Center and slaughter nearly 3,000 innocent men, women, and children.

 Ronald Reagan famously said that “freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” Many of us can clearly see that now.

In that same speech, Reagan stated:

Our founding fathers, here in this country, brought about the only true revolution that has ever taken place in man’s history. Every other revolution simply exchanged one set of rulers for another set of rulers. But only here did that little band of men, so advanced beyond their time that the world has never seen their like since, evolve the idea that you and I have within ourselves the God-given right and the ability to determine our own destiny. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. The only way they can inherit the freedom we have known is if we fight for it, protect it, defend it, and then hand it to them with the well-taught lessons of how they in their lifetime must do the same. And if you and I don’t do this, then you and I may well spend our sunset years telling our children, and our children’s children, what it once was like in America…when men were free.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have been played. Continuously and ruthlessly. Most Republicans are as worthless as teats on a boar. But many Democrats are truly evil. And the growing ranks of communists in the party are staging a palace coup for all to see. None of us can know exactly how this all will play out in November, let alone in November of 2028.

But I am not optimistic. Why?

As I wrote in COVID-1984 and other pieces, the plandemic was both a test and a coup. It was a test to see if the majority of Americans and Westerners would allow their governments to tell them if their job was important or not, if they could leave their homes and go to the funeral of a loved one, and that they must wear masks and stay 6 feet away from other humans.

Turns out Americans and Westerners did allow their rulers to tell them what they could and could not do. In the case of Americans, that meant that they had betrayed the founders’ wisdom and decided that, yes, security is more important than liberty. By doing so, they also ceded their privacy …  and dignity.

It, too, was a coup in that it ushered in mass mail-in balloting, and massive fraud and cheating.

Whatever you say about Democrats, they are much, much better at fraud and cheating than are Republicans. The further left the Democrat, the more aggressive and adept at it they are.

Tragically, I never expected the West to fully recover from the pandemic.

It hasn’t. The prescriptions and proscriptions placed on us by “Dr. Fauci” and other “experts” and leaders broke individuals and damaged institutions. And a nation rarely finds itself again after it first forgets who it is. The same for a people. Demography is destiny, as Mark Steyn is wont to say. And a people will never again have the power — or liberty — to rid themselves of socialism/Marxism/communism, or Sharia law, once they prevail. Especially given the staggering advances in technology. (Or, as Churchill once warned us, we could “sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science.”)

Socialism is a delusion, a steadfast refusal to acknowledge human nature, be it individual (especially the socialist’s own nature) or collective. It is also a refutation of history. Islam is more of a political statement than a religion. It is, essentially, an actual patriarchy of toxic males who wish to make all women—and infidels– subservient to them … until such time as they are called home to paradise to cavort with 72 virgins. It is, therefore, also a delusion.

By the Founders’ vision, the United States became the most successful, prosperous, and benevolent nation in history, with the freest citizens. That is a fact, not a delusion.

Where will we be on Nov. 4 of this year? What will we be on Nov. 8, 2028?

On Thursday, shocking footage spread online of droves of primarily young male Moroccans storming Ceuta, a small Spanish territory on the North African coast. Thousands of them swam around breakwaters and climbed fences to enter the tiny enclave. An estimated 60,000 people are believed to have arrived in Ceuta—where the permanent population is 84,000—in 24 hours. Eighteen immigrants have died during the crossings. Meanwhile, local bars and shops are closed for fear of looting. The chaos has caused the leader of Ceuta to appeal to Madrid to send in the army.

The Spanish government has done so, but it should never have come to this. It was bound to, though, because Spanish prime minister Pedro Sánchez, a Socialist, oversees one of Europe’s most permissive migration regimes. In January, Sánchez announced a blanket amnesty program to regularize the immigration status of half a million migrants living illegally in Spain. In a New York Times op-ed published in February, Sánchez characterized the move as both humane and economically necessary, and contrasted his policy to the restrictive ones of “MAGA-style leaders” (read: Hungary’s former prime minister Viktor Orbán).

By summer, applications had soared to over one million—this, in a country whose migrant population is estimated to be at around 15 percent of the national total. Granted, the beneficiaries of this program are mostly Latin Americans, who, owing to a shared language and cultural similarities, are relatively easy to integrate.

But it also benefits illegal migrants who came to Spain in the same way as the throngs that stormed the Ceuta beaches. Add to this a recent ruling from Spain’s supreme court banning the government from returning migrants intercepted as they try to swim to the autonomous enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla.

Across Europe and the United Kingdom, migrants like this—from Islamic countries and Africa—are overwhelming cities, bringing with them serious social disruption and crime. Sweden has recently begun to reform its infamously permissive migration policies after people of migrant backgrounds were shown to be 2.5 times more likely to be criminal than native Swedes. In Germany, police statistics released this past April showed that migrants of Syrian and Afghan background are eight to nine times more likely than the average German to be suspects in criminal cases.

Significant public figures like David Betz, a scholar in the War Studies department of King’s College London, and Thibault de Montbrial, a senior lawyer who prosecutes Islamist criminals for the French government, have warned that the accelerating crisis pushed Europe closer to civil war. It’s not simply a matter of tension between migrants and natives, but also fury from native Europeans at their governments for permitting the invasion. The horrifying summer blockbuster Citizen Vigilante, reviewed by The Free Press’s Douglas Murray, depicts one scenario Betz has predicted if governments don’t change course.

None of this seems to matter to the European governing class in politics, law, media, academia, and even the Catholic Church. To them, migrants are, as Pope Leo XIV, has described them, “privileged witnesses of hope.” And shame on anybody who says otherwise.

In Britain, Lucy Connolly received a 31-month jail sentence for a racially inflammatory message on X she posted after receiving news of the Southport stabbings. Connolly deleted it three and a half hours later, but the government still tried, convicted, and sentenced her. The 42-year-old’s case became a political rallying point for people accusing the UK government of practicing “two-tier justice”—that is, holding white Britons to higher standards than non-whites or migrants.

While domestic politicians silence dissent, European Union officials in Brussels, as well as judges in most EU countries, make it all but impossible for national leaders trying to stop the illegal migrant flow to do so. When I asked Italian sources why the right-wing Giorgia Meloni government has made so little progress on this front, they all said that the progressive judiciary consistently ties the hands of elected officials.

If this all sounds like the plot of a dystopian horror novel, well, it is. The late French writer Jean Raspail’s controversial 1973 novel, The Camp of the Saints, foresaw exactly the kind of thing happening this week in Ceuta.

In Raspail’s story, the true villains are not the bedraggled migrant armies on the beaches of France, but the ruling-class elites who welcome them as saviors from the psychological burden of being Western. Raspail, who was a traditionalist Catholic, reserved his greatest contempt for churchmen, who, in his telling, are sentimental humanitarians who neither see nor comprehend that the migrant waves will smash what remains of the Church in a de-Christianized Europe.

As Nathan Pinkoski, a young Canadian scholar, writes in the introduction to a recent English-language edition of The Camp of the Saints, the novel explores “the consequences of white guilt.” According to Pinkoski:

This feeling drives the redistribution of wealth and people. Every time Westerners learn of the suffering of non-Westerners, they regard it as their fault and their responsibility. Love of one’s neighbor becomes an unlimited duty to distant strangers. Fulfilling these duties promises to purify the corrupt, tainted West. This passion for the stranger is paired with disdain for one’s actual neighbors. It turns into contempt for one’s own people and, eventually, for oneself. The point is not that these characters love humanity too much. It is that they have learned to call self-hatred love.

French novelist Michel Houellebecq followed the same thematic model in his controversial 2015 novel Submission, which takes place as an Islamist party comes to power in France peacefully and democratically. Though the book was ignorantly denounced as Islamophobic (and inspired a cartoon on the cover of Charlie Hebdo released the day Islamist militants massacred much of the staff of the newspaper), the book’s villains are, in fact, the decadent French elites, who are too spiritually and morally exhausted to manage their society.

For confirmation of Raspail’s and Houellebecq’s insight, look no further than the response of Berlin LGBT leaders and others to last week’s terror attack on that city’s Pride parade, which left one dead and 29 injured. The suspect, Abdul Ballout, died in a shootout with police.

It emerged that Ballout, 21, was the German-born son of a Muslim migrant from Lebanon. He had earlier traveled to Lebanon intending to join ISIS, but was arrested by Lebanese authorities, served a three-month prison sentence, and returned to Germany.

This past May, a Berlin juvenile court convicted Ballout of planning terrorist violence and spreading ISIS propaganda on social media. The court handed down a suspended sentence, leaving him free to drive a car into Pride march goers.

And yet, at a public Berlin vigil for the victims, a young LGBT activist told the crowd that she “had hoped that the attacker was not a foreigner, but a white Christian person.” A reporter for NTV, a popular TV and online news channel, told viewers that “the queer community naturally feels threatened, above all, by right-wing forces.”

Meanwhile, at a press conference, organizers of Berlin Pride told reporters in a statement, “We do not want this deed to be used for political ends. We don’t want any groups to be placed under suspicion for this. People are trying to divide our society and set some people against others. We will not allow this.”

Communism is force, murder and enslavement. These things are against the law, in a free country. “Democratic socialists”–i.e., Communists–are acting illegally. They should all be removed from office and treated as criminals, because they are criminals. They are voting to confiscate private property and destroy freedom of trade and freedom of association. It’s not a free speech issue. You can write books or articles sanctioning murder and enslavement all you want; but you may not practice these things. Start with the arrest of Mamdani–he’s the most high profile and toxic, since he’s in open alignment with terrorists. If we don’t do this, America is finished. We are watching the country founded on a Bill of Rights evaporate before our eyes. Generations of blood, triumph and tragedy–gone. President Trump, are you hearing us?

There is no such thing as a “non-violent” approach to socialism. All socialism is violence. In the case of a military conquest as with Russia in 1917, it’s obvious. But it’s no different with “democratic socialists.” If a majority seizes your private property by vote, demands you to surrender your gun by vote, restricts your speech by vote — then you’re subject to imprisonment if you disobey them. Being put in prison is a form of violence. It’s coercion. If you try to escape the prison you’re put in for refusing to hand over 90 percent of your income or savings to the government, then you’ll be shot at, and potentially killed. It’s force no matter how you look at it. Socialism kills — and it aims to kill you unless you surrender everything that’s yours: mind, body and property. Socialism and the Bill of Rights of the U.S. Constitution are entirely incompatible. They’re polar opposites. No election — whether with dishonest or honest counting — can change this fact. The moment we’re a socialist country, it’s a war on your rights.

It is that these people know nothing, and are nothing, and cannot create or think or produce anything of worth themselves, while sneering at, mocking and detesting anything of worth created before they existed.

They are orcs who think themselves scholars. People who have learned to be stupid and call it genius. People who come from comfort and leisure and are trained to be barbarians.

Their art is what an orc would produce. Scratches and defecations on statues they have smashed. They are repelled by beauty and enchanted by filth. If a work diminishes Man, they adore it. If a work elevates the soul, they truly detest it. Old Masters bore them, and soaring cathedrals evoke their sneers.

But give them an empty canvas, or a fraudulent con, or a puffed and inflated piece of nothing that expresses only the same few paltry shreds of embittered slogans that constitute their withered conscience…..and they grin and caper in delight like monkeys excited by a rape.

11h I woke up and as I had my morning coffee, I realized that everything is about to change. No matter how I vote, no matter what I say, something evil has invaded our nation, and our lives are never going to be the same.

I have been confused by the hostility of family and friends. I look at people I have known all my life–so hate-filled that they agree with opinions they would never express as their own. I think that I may well have entered the Twilight Zone.

You can’t justify this insanity. We have become a nation that has lost its collective mind!

• If a man pretends to be a woman, you are required to pretend with him.

• Somehow it’s un-American for the census to count how many Americans are in America.

• Russians influencing our elections are bad, but illegals voting in our elections are good.

• It was cool for Joe Biden to “blackmail” the President of Ukraine, but it’s an impeachable offense if Donald Trump inquires about it.

• People who have never owned slaves should pay slavery reparations to people who have never been slaves.

• People who have never been to college should pay the debts of college students who took out huge loans for their degrees.

• Immigrants with tuberculosis and polio are welcome, but you’d better be able to prove your dog is vaccinated.

• Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate to the US must go through a rigorous vetting process, but any illiterate gang-bangers who jump the southern fence are welcome.

• $5 billion for border security is too expensive, but $1.5 trillion for “free” health care is not.

• If you cheat to get into college you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country you go to college for free.

• People who say there is no such thing as gender are demanding a female President.

• We see other countries going Socialist and collapsing, but it seems like a great plan to us.

• Some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, and other people are not held responsible for what they are doing right now.

• Criminals are caught-and-released to hurt more people, but stopping them is bad because it’s a violation of THEIR rights.

• And pointing out all this hypocrisy somehow makes us “racists”?!

Nothing makes sense anymore, no values, no morals, no civility and people are dying of a Chinese virus, but it racist to refer to it as Chinese even though it began in China.

We are clearly living in an upside down world where right is wrong and wrong is right, where moral is immoral and immoral is moral, where good is evil and evil is good, where killing murderers is wrong, but killing innocent babies is right.
