Old School Libertarians Were Right: “Benign” Federal Agencies Became a Nightmare

The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) argues:

A free society has no need for and is incompatible with:

FBI

FDA

CDC

IRS

CIA

NSA

Those who opposed these agencies at their creation were right. Each and every one of them practices tyranny, dishonesty and evil. On their present course, if not disbanded and prosecuted, they will kill thousands, maybe millions. Watch and see.

Green Fascism is Here

“Switzerland mulls jail sentences for those heating their homes excessively.”

It’s not just Switzerland. It’s the green movement. The green movement is FULLY in control in California. California has already outlawed gas cars a few years from now. Other states will follow suit — in fact, already are.

You can better believe that today’s “mulling” will be tomorrow’s law. And you can better believe that tomorrow’s law in Switzerland will be the law in California the next day, and most blue states the day after that.

The only thing keeping you safe in a red state is that red state government’s willingness to defy the permanently One Party fascist green establishment in D.C.

Green fascism is the new COVID fascism. Under COVID fascism, governments learned that people will comply if they see everyone else complying, no matter how stupid, unconstitutional, evil, immoral or self-contradicting a directive seems. If police can arrest you for not wearing a mask, they can certainly arrest you for having your thermostat “too high.”

And if the government has no problem inflicting 85,000 armed IRS agents on your private finances (including your bank account passwords), that same government will have no problem sending FBI or other agents into your home to see what your thermostat is set at. Actually, they won’t even need to do that.

Green fascism is here. COVID fascism was the prelude. I predicted all of this back in 2020. The world is full of people in denial, including millions of good people who cannot or will not grasp where we are headed. “Oh no, it won’t happen here. This is AMERICA.”

Keep wishing that.

The Biden Regime is Accountable to NOBODY

I can hardly listen to conservative talk radio any longer. It’s too painful. They play right into our tyrants’ hands — unknowingly, because these are mostly good people. They talk about how Biden and his “administration” officials are going to be “held to task” and “held accountable” and will have to answer for all the illegal inconsistencies, violations and contradictions involved with the DOJ and FBI raid on Trump and — more generally — on the Bill of Rights and due process themselves.

“Held accountable” — to whom? The DOJ and the FBI are clearly, openly and almost proudly political organizations. They do not represent any rule of law. They do not represent “the American people.” They represent only themselves — and The Party. That’s it. They will NOT be held accountable — not ever — because there is nobody to hold them accountable. Donald Trump was head of the executive branch including the DOJ and FBI for 4 full years — and it had ZERO impact on the corruption. This shows not that Trump was a weak and ineffective executive (he was no such thing); it shows the level of corruption was way, way beyond what anyone — including Trump himself — ever claimed.

Now the mask is off. We have stirred up the hornets’ nest and we’re facing the surge of nasty wasps ready to sting, and most of us don’t have any protection. The protection, of course, is the Bill of Rights, which conservatives fantasize is still in operation. But it’s only there as a theoretical abstraction. It has no reality. It has no force of law.

That’s why it’s time to figure out Plan B. The Constitution and the American republic, as we knew them — or in more recent years, as we thought we knew them — are dead. We have to figure out a way to start over, without engaging in the self-delusion that there are good people still able and willing to enforce the individual rights that once made America unique among nations.

I don’t see a pretty alternative here. It’s either the unremitting, unyielding tyranny of The Party; or it’s secession. I realize secession might be followed by a civil war, and probably will be. But what’s the alternative? Submit to a woke, green, medically fascist, economically Communist, culturally psychopathological regime that upholds NO rights for anyone, other than for themselves?

So pick your poison. But stop pretending that this isn’t your choice.

My take is this: We need a republic like America’s founders started. But it takes a decent and moral people to sustain that republic. The evidence suggests that at least a plurality of Americans are no longer good people. We’ll be able to put that to the test when the regime in power goes all the way — not just arresting Trump (which they will) but in starting to round up, arrest and otherwise harass (IRS agents, for example) people who don’t comply with The State as they like. At this point, it will only be the governments of red states who can be appealed to, for some form of resistance. If you’re in a deep blue state, once the s**t hits the fan at the federal level (and that’s already starting), then you’re going to have even bigger problems if you don’t support The Party.

Henry Hazlitt Commentary

If the welfarist-socialist-inflationist- trend of recent years continues in this country, the outlook is dark. It is a prospect of mounting taxation, snowballing expenditures, chronic deficits, a budget out of control, an accelerating rate of inflation of the kind endemic in Latin America (at least for the last generation), a collapse of the dollar, increasing world currency chaos, and more and more ruthless price, wage, and exchange controls, leading toward a regimented economy and dictatorship. And if this trend is interrupted temporarily, it may be by riots, assassinations, and a breakdown of law and order.

What Would a Second Civil War in America Look Like?

So, given a new civil war, what would motivate the left? First, leftists believe they too are fighting to protect America and make it a better country. Regardless of what you may think, millions of people believe in the cause we call socialism. They hear how President Biden vilified the right as MAGA extremists and the greatest threat to our democracy (although America is a republic). They think we are homophobes because we go to church and that we hate women because we are pro-life. His speech served no other purpose (in my mind) than to prepare the left for the extreme measures Biden plans to take against the great MAGA threat at some point very soon.

Don’t let anyone fool you, and don’t fool yourself. Leftists will be tough opponents. They will receive good modern military training and equipment. Even as our current national army steadily shifts “wokeward,” its abilities and toughness will not decrease simply because it is woke (as I have heard so many amateurs boldly state).

They will learn the same tactics, strong command and control techniques, efficient logistical support processes, and everything else a first-rate modern army has at its disposal. They will not be a bunch of weakling soy-boys and gender-neutral fools. They will fly the American flag whether we like it or not. Maybe the right will fly the Betsy Ross as a symbol of the original Founders and the original interpretation of the U.S. Constitution — the same “interpreted” document the left will be fighting for.

Those sincerely conservative troops still serving in our woke military will likely have to choose whether to stay in place or to switch to the rebellious army of the right. They will likely bring whatever weapons and equipment they can, and perhaps entire National Guard or Reserve units will switch sides as well.

Regardless of what exactly happens, both sides will be well equipped, highly motivated, and very deadly. It will not be a quick war. It will unleash misery and violence much as we saw during the Balkan War in the early 1990s. Very old people, women, and young children will suffer the worst of it.

New Deal for Government

  • Here’s the New Deal for Government:
  • 1.) No one shall work in government without first working in the private sector for ten years. This qualification proves you know how to work and have a modicum of intelligence.

  • 2.) No one shall work in government for more than twelve years during their lifetime. This is inclusive of service in local state, federal and tribal government. This provision makes it difficult for an administrative state from becoming established and insured that government employment shall never be a career.

  • 3.) No one shall be employed by government while another direct family member is concurrently employed by government. This ensures that there is no nepotism, either direct or indirect.

  • 4.) No one shall be employed by a government contractor, lobbyist firm, or nongovernmental organization, or other organization that receives tax dollars or grants, including education institutions for a period of five years prior or after employment with government. This stops the tentacles of an administrative state from establishing itself externally to government.

  • 5.) Public service unions shall be illegal. This provision stops tax dollars which are paid to government employees to be used to advocate against the tax payers.

  • 6.) All employment in government shall be “at will”. This allows any government employee to be fired.

  • 7.) Civil Service and Executive Service shall be abolished. These are failed constructs that lead to an administrative state. Current government employee pay schedules shall be abolished.
  • Government employee salaries shall be determined by Congress and shall not exceed the average public sector equivalents when available. This aligns government pay with the private sector.
  • 8.) All government employees are prohibited to receive any gifts from businesses, NGOs, lobbying firms, or government contractors during government employment and for a period of five years prior and after government employment. This stops undue influence of government employees.

  • 9.) All laws shall that apply to citizens shall apply to all government employees and government organizations. This ensures that there is equal application of laws.

  • 10.) There shall be no pension or government sponsored retirement plans. This stops government employees from enriching themselves. Government employees may have Individual Retirement Accounts that comply with the next provision.

  • 11.) Government employee investments shall be limited to broad based “funds” that are consist solely of American based public businesses. Government employees shall be prohibited from purchasing and holding individual stocks, commodities, futures, options, currencies, any derivative, bonds and treasuries during government service and for a period of one year after government service and must be sold prior to government service. This provision stops unequal treatment of businesses by government employees and government policies while stopping government employees enriching themselves.

  • 12.) All government employees that work with in a failed government program shall be immediately terminated upon receipt of a non-compliant annual program review to Congress. This provision requires that all government programs and organizations must be formed with a schedule of measurable goals and objectives for all government programs and organizations to be attached to legislation that establish government programs and organizations created and specified solely by Congress. This provision stops failed government programs from persisting and limits the impact of fruitless employment of government employees. In short, it a protection for government employees and tax payers alike.
  • The consequences of the provisions will probably create a shortage of government employees and restrict the growth of government. Tough schiff. This is my morning thought and writing exercise. I’m sure there is room for improvement.
