Is This January 6 Show Trial Even Real Life?

Tucker Carlson’s Thursday night show was a special feature on the January 6 war crimes trial

I have mostly stopped following the whole January 6 drama. It’s just too much, and I just don’t care.

But now they are doing the actual hearings, which appear to be some kind of Nuremberg-style war crimes trial against Americans who protested the 2020 election. If you want to be more politically correct in your analysis, you could call it a “Soviet-style show trial,” but I think that would be less accurate. The Soviets built a system of laws designed to facilitate show trials, whereas Nuremberg was a drastic and totally unprecedented departure from Western norms of jurisprudence. This January 6 circus show is a drastic departure from the established laws of this country, and appears to be setting the standard for a new kind of legal system.

So, what exactly is going on here?

For some background, here is what Wikipedia has to say about January 6:

I think that pretty much sums it up.

But that isn’t enough for those in the government. They are continuing to claim that the January 6 protest was an “insurrection,” despite the fact that no one had guns.

For a bit of context, while this is the number one story in America, several other things are happening:

  • We are the closest we’ve ever been to a nuclear war in all of history
  • Inflation is increasing so rapidly that it is wrecking the ability of even well-off people to live normal lives
  • We’re headed straight toward some kind of monumental economic crisis
  • Kids are being turned into trannies on purpose by government schools
  • Crime has skyrocketed to the point where it is virtually impossible to live a normal life in any major urban center

The Sanhedrin said – and the media agreed – that “our democracy is at risk.” I don’t really understand what that means when they say it, but as a statement in a vacuum, it’s obviously true. I’m not a huge fan of democracy – at all – but it’s the system we’ve had for 150 years or so now, and it’s a system that at the very least will assure some rights of the people, even while it causes severe social degradation and corruption.

This system of democracy is now being phased out in favor of an open authoritarian system. By giving these new powers to the Congress, which effectively allows the legislative branch to take on executive powers, we’re fundamentally altering the entire structure of the government.

This is not a joke – the FBI is rounding people up for refusing to participate in this scam. Congress doesn’t have the power to order the FBI to round people up, but they’re just doing it anyway. When the FBI rounds you up, it has been, up until now, for the purpose of putting you before the judicial branch of government – not the Congress. There are various loopholes and technicalities being exploited here of course, but we are seeing the final result now, which is this Nuremberg thing. This has never happened before in American history.

You can talk about Ray Epps and the pipe bombs and the police opening the doors and the secret security camera footage – but the point is, none of that is required to be entered into the record here, because this is not a real court. It is a fake court, with a Congressional committee pretending to be a court, and it nullifies the concept of separation of powers, which if you graduated third grade, you know is the basis of our government’s structure.

So beyond simply destroying democracy, they are going back further, and wrecking the Constitutional foundation of the US government.

From this point forward, everything is going to be very different. Obviously, we’ve been seeing the erosion of all of the systems of government for a long time now, and it’s been speeding up, but this January 6 Sanhedrin is a horse of a different color.

The implications of this are that the government is in the process of solidifying total power, where they are just able to do anything they want. This obviously isn’t about January 6 – no one cares about that, including the people conducting this farce. This is about completely destroying the remnants of a civilized system of law and order.

It’s hard to believe this is even real life. It feels, on some level, like I am living in some kind of surreal false reality.

Liz Cheney should have a sign over her head reading: “Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here.”

From here on out, things are going to get a lot worse before they get any better.

We’re going as far south as south goes.

Fake Insurrection Day

January 6” in a nutshell: Leftists trying to silence criticism and peaceful protest. Forever, in America.

Biden didn’t address the nation yesterday morning. He addressed his own party. Half the country can go to hell, as far as he’s concerned. Right back at you, creepy Joe. I am waiting for the divorce.

No, Harris and Biden, you are wrong. “January 6”, whatever that means, is NOT another Pearl Harbor or 9/11. YOU two, and the people you work for, are another Pearl Harbor and 9/11. You are destroying our economy, our culture and our Bill of Rights — with a ruthlessness and recklessness that even the perpetrators of Pearl Harbor and 9/11 could never have envisioned.

Snowflake tyrans onf MSNBC, CNN and at the NY Times and Washington Post are scared of a real insurrections. It’s so easy to scream and shake fists over a FAKE insurrection.

As Ed Mazlish wrote on Facebook: If they want to call it an insurrection, they need to charge and convict on counts of sedition. Given that hundreds of people are still locked in jail a year later without having been charged, let alone convicted, of sedition, the only insurrectionists today are the ones falsely crying “insurrection.”

Assess the moral status of people who want rapists, murderers and looters released without bail while peaceful 2020 election protesters (guilty of misdemeanors, at worst) are jailed indefinitely, without due process. THESE are your friends and relatives who support Democrats, leftists and Bidenistas. They are the problem. Stop complaining about Biden. Look at the people around you who are doing this to us!

Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) said Thursday on CNN’s “Situation Room” that downplaying what happened during the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 was “its own form of violence.”

TRANSLATION: “If you don’t agree with my characterization of something, then you are committing an act of violence.” Violence, of course, is against the law. So if you don’t agree with me — off to prison camp with you.

If you don’t think these people are dangerous tyrants who are a real and present threat to your liberty, and potentially to your life, then I cannot help you.

The Real Insurectionists are in Today’s Government

Two lessons from January 6:

One, we need a Speaker of the House who actually assumes responsibility for keeping the U.S. Capitol safe. We did not have that on 1/6/21.

Two, you create political unrest when you perpetuate election fraud, one-party rule, and totalitarian dictatorship. The more you enslave people, the more they will rebel and the less they feel they have to lose.

American Marxists and American fascists who dominate our culture, media and government will commemorate January 6 because it’s in alignment with their toxic, depraved and violent ideologies. As with absolutely everything else: THEY, the leftists, are guilty of EVERYTHING they accuse their opponents of doing.

Democrats are a fusion of Communism and fascism. Their entire program is based on shaming, silencing and the use of violent force to achieve their collectivist, utterly unconstitutional goals. The Democratic Party is the real enemy of American freedom, not President Trump, Sean Hannity nor any of the others the toxic twits in power will villify on their Stalinesque holiday, January 6. The movement they have created has the potential to be even MORE destructiveurrectists than the Communism and fascism we saw in the 20th Century. Don’t minimize the real threat to YOUR personal freedom and prosperity.

Why don’t America’s socialists and Communists simply leave? And go to Venezuela, Cuba or North Korea? Because they are not interested mainly in imposing “utopia.” They are interested mainly in destroying America. American leftists loathe freedom, they loathe themselves and, at the core, they loathe human happiness. They stay in America not merely because they’re hypocrites, but because they — in their malignant sickness– enjoy watching our destruction.

The Myth of January 6th

The myth that January 6 was an insurrection that aimed to “overthrow the government” must not be allowed to stand. The time to counter the Big Lie is now.

Most people, I believe, think that the age of myth-making lies in the past. Myths are the things that Ovid wrote about, or Robert Graves cataloged. Their home is in the ancient world, primarily. They live on today mostly in books or in quips. Jack Worthing, in Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, provides a good illustration of the latter when he exclaims that Lady Bracknell is a Gorgon and then admits that “I don’t really know what a Gorgon is like, but I am quite sure that Lady Bracknell is one. In any case, she is a monster, without being a myth.”

Nevertheless, in school, if we went to an artsy one, we learned that myths were important. They told us not about what happened in the world, precisely. Rather, they told us interesting stories about character, motivation, and the dialectic of hubris and nemesis, crime and punishment.

All of that is true, but I submit that the impulse to myth-making, if atavistic in origin, remains a potent force and one, moreover, that has been folded into the metabolism of partisan politics.

An illuminating example from the recent past is the public understanding of the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963. Kennedy was shot and killed by Lee Harvey Oswald, a communist radical who had adulated the Soviet Union and Fidel Castro. The bullets had barely left Oswald’s rifle before this was known. But the truth about the identity of Kennedy’s assassin was quickly overtaken and enveloped by a partisan myth, assiduously massaged and circulated by Kennedy’s widow, the media, and the political establishment.

brief, the myth about Kennedy’s assassin downplayed Oswald’s communist affiliation and insisted that Kennedy was killed not (as he in fact was) by a lone gunman by rather a generalized “spirit of madness and hate.”

That phrase dripped from the pen of James Reston, one of America’s star columnists whose post at the New York Times amplified and legitimated his opinions nationwide. (The Times was still a respected newspaper in 1963.)

The process of substituting a “climate of hate” for Oswald’s index finger started almost immediately. In Camelot and the Cultural Revolution: How the Assassination of John F. Kennedy Shattered American Liberalism, James Piereson notes that on the trip back from Dallas, Lady Bird Johnson and others asked if Jackie Kennedy wanted to change out of her blood-spattered clothes. “No,” the grieving widow would always reply, “I want them to see what they have done.”

Who, Piereson asks, is “they”? Camelot and the Cultural Revoution traces the rapid process of myth-making that greeted the assassination of Kennedy. It was a transformation or “metamorphosis” as dramatic as anything Ovid described. Kennedy was killed by a wacko communist radical sent round the bend by America’s vendetta against Castro. Within days, Oswald, the lone communist, had been replaced or transformed into a dispensable persona of a mythic “far-Right.” Piereson quotes Drew Pearson, another influential columnist (for The Washington Post*), who argued that American presidents who had been assassinated were killed not by “the fanaticism of one man” but by “powerful influence molders” who “preached disrespect for the authority of the government and the man in the White House who symbolized government.”

Sound familiar? From there it was but a small step for demands that the government tamp down on what Grayson Kirk, the president of Columbia University, called the “sin” of “prejudice.” The state, Kirk said, needed to exert “more energy against extremists and their poison.” It may go without saying that he did not mean communist extremists.

Is there anything that could have been done to intervene in that exercise of myth-making that surrounded the Kennedy assassination? Anything that could have short-circuited the metamorphosis of the criminal action of a single deranged communist into the group responsibility of nebulous “haters” and “extremists” throughout the country?

do not know the answer to that. But the same question has come around again with respect to the events of January 6, 2021 and, more generally, with respect to support for Donald Trump.

Here we can witness in real time the effort to enact another myth—the myth that the events at the Capitol on January 6, constituted an “insurrection” as deadly as Oklahoma City, as 9/11, as Pearl Harbor, even (if you are to believe Joe Biden) the “Civil War.” You could see that narrative, that process of mythopoeia, begin to take place even before the protestors withdrew from the Capitol. It was all nonsense. But it has been pursued assiduously by the left-wing political apparatus in the government and their megaphones in the media.

Nearly year out now, we can see phase two of the operation take shape, as globalist think tanks like the Niskanen Center send around

send around fundraising newsletters warning that “the majority of the Republican party promotes an authoritarian narrative, purges GOP dissenters, and encourages anti-democratic legislation,” i.e., legislation that aims to check the woke progressivism of the globalist Left. Send money now!

Then we have Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) calling for a “full program of events” and “solemn observance” to mark the anniversary of theinsurrection event. If only she can cadge official recognition for the event, perhaps she can inscribe it on the national conscience as a Democratic talking point.

She will have plenty of support from academia. Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics, has just announced “The Shock of January 6: First Annual Conference on America’s First Attempted Coup Since 1865.” Will it be a perpetual event? The event will stream live on Twelfth Night, January 6, so those not celebrating Epiphany can tune in to watch Jim Acosta, Senator Tim Kaine (D-Va.), Jonathan Karl, and other, similarly qualified figures weigh in on “extremists,” Trump sympathizers, and other threats to the equanimity of the regime.

I have no doubt that there are many other initiatives of mythopoetic endeavor, from the preposterous and illegally formed January 6 Commission on down. But the new myth has not yet gelled. There are too many dissenting voices, too many accounts of what actually happened that day that conflict with the regime narrative.

The trick now is to magnify those alternative accounts, disseminate them as broadly and as authoritatively as possible. There is no reason that Nancy Pelosi or Jim Acosta or Joe Biden or Merrick Garland should be allowed to define the reality of what happened on January 6. The work of writers like Julie Kelly at American Greatness and Darren Beattie at Revolver News needs to be echoed and extended as vigorously as possible. Myths can be pernicious as well as illuminating or entertaining. The myth that what happened on January 6 was an insurrection that aimed to “overthrow the government” or “overturn the election” must not be allowed to stand and gain credence. The time to counter that Big Lie is now.

Who’s Responsible for January 6th ?

I will tell you who’s responsible for January 6.

It’s the Supreme Court.

The majority of the Supreme Court, that is. The ones who refused to even consider a hearing for the avalanche of evidence of election fraud claims.

Who knows if the small number of people who stormed the Capitol were actually Trump supporters, or hired guns by left wingers, Biden supporters and Never Trumpers. We’ll never know, because exclusive control over the “objective” investigation is in the hands of left wingers, Biden supporters and Never Trumpers. It’s a worse than worthless exercise.

Regardless, the Supreme Court is to blame. Most especially, the turncoat John Roberts, who will never, ever permit an open hearing for election fraud claims — not when such a hearing has the potential to benefit Republicans.
