Can We Really Vote the Tyrants Away?

Bingo. That’s why elections won’t matter, other than nominally. We lost our freedom gradually over the decades, and then totally in 2020. The rotten, fully corrupt people in power will not step aside, any more than they did when Trump held office. We need another 1776, not a takeover of Congress by Republicans who will put a different shade of lipstick on the pig. Yes, there are some meaningfully different Republicans like Trump and DeSantis, but it’s the horrific Mitch McConnells running the show. I don’t know that most Americans today are capable of supporting another 1776, but that’s the only way around the present disaster.

Democrats are Priming Themselves to Accept any Defeats

How will Democrats react to the thumping that most observers believe they will get in the 2022 midterm elections? Or to the possibility that in three years a Republican could be sworn in as the 47th president?

They relish the Jan. 6 opportunity to endlessly relive the supposed danger that a disgraceful but still pathetically ineffectual riot posed to the republic, which they have spent the last 12 months misrepresenting as an “insurrection” or failed coup d’etat by Republicans.

The media treated the date as a sort of new national holiday to reinforce the awfulness of former President Trump and his deplorable supporters. But all that hyperbole about that riot being the moral equivalent of the Confederates firing on Fort Sumter, Pearl Harbor, or even the 9/11 terrorist attacks hasn’t convinced many people living outside the leftist bubble of CNN, MSNBC, and The New York Times to believe Republicans are a party of insurrectionists.

From the outside, the inflamed rhetoric of Jan. 6 fever appears to be an utterly cynical exercise in gaslighting. That was most apparent when used to justify Democrats’ push for so-called “election reform” laws that President Joe Biden claimed last week to be the only thing standing athwart a return to “Jim Crow” racism. The legislation is, in fact, an effort to federalize elections, discard every rule aimed at ensuring voter integrity, and in effect rig the process to Democrats’ advantage.

Democrats May Believe Their Own Spin But the more one digs deeper into the avalanche of Jan. 6 articles in left publications like The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and many others or listens to leading Democrats and party activists talk about the subject, the less cynical it seems. Democrats have been drinking their own mix of toxic partisan Kool-Aid to the point they actually believe that Trump and Republicans are authoritarians and plotting to destroy American democracy.

This amounts to a political faith that is building toward a belief that Republican victories in November 2022 will be inherently illegitimate and must be rejected by hook or crook. The same applies to their hysteria about 2024 which, as the literature produced on the subject indicates, they have half convinced themselves has already been stolen.

That these conspiracy theories masquerading as defense of democracy bear more than a slight resemblance to the conviction on the part of some Trump supporters that there was no way their man could have fairly lost in 2020 is an irony lost on the left. As much as they are certain that any doubts about 2020 are the product of Trump’s “big lie,” their embrace of their own collection of conspiracies about vote suppression and Republicans stealing elections is nothing less than another “big lie.”

The impact of the myths about Jan. 6 being an insurrection and democracy endangered by a GOP assault on voting rights has, in effect, painted the Democrats into a corner where any defeat must be considered proof of a rigged system.

Prepare for Extreme Measures Seen in that light, it’s not enough to denounce Democratic rhetoric as false or cynical. The net effect of their claims is that those who have been convinced of it are calling for extreme measures to prevent an election loss and are already preparing to regard their party’s likely coming rejection by the voters as another coup, no matter how honest the count may be.

The full consequences of this are unknowable but, at the very least, Americans should prepare for efforts by the Democrats’ cheering section in the corporate media and by the Big Tech overlords of the Internet to go further than they did in 2020 to prevent such an eventuality. In the event that fails, more “mostly peaceful” riots in the aftermath of Republican election victories are likely. As with the violence and looting unleashed by the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, that will not be termed an “insurrection” by those still raging about what happened on Jan. 6.

All that, and not Republican opposition to the Biden presidency and Democratic legislation, is the most serious blow to the fabric of American democracy imaginable.

Elections Don’t Matter Anymore

“58 Percent of Americans Believe US Democracy in Danger of Collapse”, according to a Quinnipiac poll, reported by NEWSMAX 1-13-22.

First of all, America never was a democracy. America was a Constitutional republic with a Bill of Rights. The purpose of its government was to uphold individual rights, not vote them away gradually, as we did.

Secondly, you don’t have a republic OR a democracy without election integrity. Blue and purple states are rigged in favor of one party, and will never turn red again. It’s improbable we will see a Republican president again, especially a meaningful one like a Reagan or Trump, because the Electoral College counts on the votes of these rigged blue and purple states. We saw how that worked out in 2020. On top of it all, Congress is poised to pass a “voting rights” bill that will nationalize the rigged elections in favor of one party forever.

So even if it’s democracy you want, democracy is done in America. The fact that 58 percent of the population senses this fact is not shocking. What’s shocking is that there has been so little upheaval as a result. It’s truly as if mass numbers of Americans are under sedation. I suppose when the 2022 and 2024 “elections” expose still more fraud, to say nothing of what these Communists and tyrants have in store for us next, maybe 58 percent (or even more) of the country will arise out of its slumber then. Maybe.

After all: who says there will even be elections in 2022 and 2024? Governors and Presidents can now declare “emergency” any time they wish, for any reason they wish, or for no reason at all. That’s a fact. Or maybe require a vax ID in order to vote. There goes Florida, and there goes the red wave. You think it’s crazy? Wake up: YOU ARE LIVING IN CRAZY.

Beware the Dems’ Election Anxiety

The return of mask mandates in blue states has nothing to do with health. It’s electoral anxiety. Democratic Communists are afraid there’s not enough fraud and censorship in the world to reverse the tide against them. By creating the image of an emergency they can hope to repeat the manipulation and deception that worked so well for them before. And if people continue to roll over and take it, it will continue to work.

It’s hilarious that they call the flu a “state of emergency.” If we were in a state of actual emergency, it would not be safe to leave the house. There’s an old saying, “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” At some point, we have to stop being victims and simply defy or ignore the illegitimate tyrants. They can’t jail all of us. Create chaos, confusion and disruption. Practice disobedience and counter-deception. Why? Because increasingly, there’s very little left to preserve.

The Democrats are Evil. And Evil Cannot Win.

Problems faced by Democrats as they try to impose unlimited government on America:

1) America isn’t psychologically prepared for dictatorship. Democrats will try to rule like dictators, but they will be surprised.

2) Democratic officials are modern-day savages. Once it’s clear they no longer have Republican opposition, and America is (officially) now all one party, the in-fighting will be spectacular. You’re already seeing this with AOC vs. Chuck Schumer, and Andrew Cuomo vs. de Blasio. We would do well to let them destroy each other, as we try to figure out our own options in a post-republic America.

3) Democrats rode to power on fraud. Fraud is weakness. Yes, clearly it carried the day in November, and (it appears) once again in Georgia. Fraud can work. But it can’t ever really work — especially when half of the greatest country in human history KNOWS you are a fraud. It will have consequences. Especially once Trump exits, assuming he does. Trump’s departure — which will not really be a departure — will resonate emotionally with patriots like few things we have ever seen in this country. We are in totally new territory here.

4) Democrats rely on the Constitution they seek to destroy. They want to destroy the Bill of Rights. But they invoke that very Bill of Rights, over and over, to get their way. It’s a cynical tactic, but it’s also weakness. When you’re right, you don’t need such tactics.

5) Democrats, like all tyrants, are riddled with anxiety. Hitler and Stalin were reportedly riddled with anxiety. How could they not be? They take on the impossible. Yes, totalitarianism is evil; but it’s also impossible. The simple truth will always be: You cannot control billions of your fellow men. No matter how much you think you can, you never will. Democrats are a high-speed train headed toward a brick wall. They will bring down many innocent and good people with them. But when they crash, it will be loud, more piercing than anything in all of human history.

6) Most people who vote Democratic are gullible, ignorant fools. They have no idea what they have done. It will blow back on them in all kinds of ways they cannot imagine. They won’t be able to credibly blame the people they have disenfranchised and censored. They will be alone with their errors. Will they ever acknowledge or realize it? Probably not. But they will be alone, more alone than you or I could ever feel at present.

Be of good cheer, going forward. Evil is impotent. By its nature, it’s at war with objective reality and with the thoughtful reasoning mankind needs to survive. Evil has won many battles lately; but it can’t win the war. It will never win the war.

Say Goodbye to the America We Knew and Loved

My generation believed in the United States. We believed in its respect for the individual, in its Constitution, in its status as the only benign superpower in history. In other words, we believed in American exceptionalism. “Traditional American values are worthy of a passionate defense,” said author and TV commentator Monica Crowley. Referring to these values as “the American project,” Charles Murray, author of Coming Apart, defined it as the continuing effort “to demonstrate that human beings can be left free as individuals and families to live their lives as they see fit, coming together voluntarily to solve their joint problems.” If you boil it down, what makes our society unique in world history is the respect accorded the rights of the individual citizen. The Constitution was written as a restraint on the power of the government to interfere in our lives.

All that seems to be changing. As we move into 2021, to borrow from Shakespeare, something is rotten. It is difficult to pinpoint the origin or the exact nature of America’s disintegration. It developed a head of steam when a man who hates this country, Barack Obama, was elected president. For eight years, we watched his concentrated assault on our values. Obama and his fellow Democrats have introduced some new concepts into our vernacular: democratic socialism, identity politics, social justice, diversity, inclusion, political correctness, Critical Race Theory, cancel culture. They were intended for the express purpose of destroying everything that is laudable about America.

If you wanted to destroy the USA, how would you do it? “America will never be destroyed from the outside,” said Abraham Lincoln. “If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev said the same thing in 1961. “We do not have to destroy America with missiles,” he said. “America will destroy itself from within.” Were they correct?

In February 2019, astute Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson made this observation: “[t]he political debate between the right and the left seems to be moving forward in a manner that indicates the fundamental robustness of the institutions of democracy in the U.S.” Peterson’s observation is no longer accurate — our democratic institutions are anything but robust. The political debate is flirting with civil war as progressives in Congress and on social media gang up to censor conservative viewpoints. Citizens have no confidence in their elected representatives, the legal system, the media, or each other. Public officials encourage disrespect for the laws they are sworn to defend. Our cities are being torn apart with rioting, looting, and arson as mayors and governors encourage the breakdown of civil order.

There is no doubt that our government does not run the way it was intended. Congress seems incapable of doing the country’s business. What has it accomplished in the last four years aside from the ridiculous impeachment of the president and sending our tax money to countries that call us names? Using the coronavirus as an excuse, government is trying to insinuate itself into every facet of our lives. As we allow the government to tell us when we can leave our homes, when we can go to work, and under what circumstances we can run our businesses, we relinquish more and more of our independence.

The worst shortcoming of our government is its failure to maintain election integrity. According to the US News & World Report, U.S. elections from July 2012 through December 2018 rated “lower than any other long-established democracies and affluent societies.” The source is a 2019 report published by the Electoral Integrity Project, an independent project based out of Harvard University. This revelation should make all Americans clamor for improvement.

The 2020 presidential election has brought us even lower on the ladder. We have more than a thousand sworn affidavits attesting to massive voter fraud: suspension of signature verification, violation of state election rules, non-verification of mail-in ballots, backdating of ballots, double-voting, dead people voting, hiding ballots under the table, refusal to allow poll-watching, and vote-switching by machine systems. “People are going on the record under oath and risking being canceled, doxed, and even accosted, to tell what they have seen about this election process,” said Rep. Michael Cloud. “The apparent lack of action from the Justice Department regarding a number of anomalies, statistical improbabilities, and sworn accusations of fraud is troubling.” It may be troubling, but it is consistent with partisan activities of the DOJ, the FBI, and the IRS. FBI Director James Comey’s refusal to indict Hillary Clinton, Obama’s weaponization of the IRS against conservative groups, and inaction from the Durham investigation have destroyed the public’s confidence in our justice system.

In spite of the media’s efforts to hide the truth, the public knows what is going on. Actor James Woods tweeted, “70,000,000 Americans are outraged about this befouled election.” “We don’t accept this fraudulent result.” Whenever the president tries to expose the fraud, the media poison the airwaves with the same mendacious phrase: “Trump’s baseless allegations.” It makes my skin crawl every time I see this lie repeated by CNN, the New York Times, and the Washington Post. The media are no longer free to express conservative viewpoints and have abdicated their role as the republic’s watchdog.

What kind of nation are we bequeathing to our children? Unless we wake up soon, it won’t be pretty. Perhaps Aldous Huxley, author of Brave New World, was correct when he predicted “a dictatorship without tears … a kind of painless concentration camp so that people will have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing.”

Don’t Vote

In her 1957 masterpiece, Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand introduced us to a powerful concept which she called “the sanction of the victim.”  This concept is defined as “the willingness of the good to suffer at the hands of the evil, to accept the role of sacrificial victim for the ‘sin‘ of creating values.”  As Rand explains through the character of her hero, John Galt, “Evil is impotent and has no power but that which we let it extort from us,” and, “I saw that evil was impotent…and the only weapon of its triumph was the willingness of the good to serve it.”   In Rand’s view, morality requires that we do not sanction our own victimhood.  This concept may be original in the thinking of Ayn Rand and is foundational to her moral theory: she holds that evil is a parasite on the good and can only exist if the good tolerates it.

The sanction of the victim takes many forms, on the individual level in our personal relationships, and in the social or public realm in our relationship with the State.   In Rand’s Atlas Shrugged it primarily takes the form of unearned guilt and the need to acknowledge and show kindness towards our tormentors and those who would exploit us.  Ultimately, the sanction of the victim is used by our exploiters as the weapon of our own destruction.  The victim becomes an accessory to the crime.

On the personal level, among countless situations, the sanction of the victim would apply to the beaten wife, the verbally abused husband, and the parents of mooching offspring that refuse to grow up and leave home (excluding the handicapped and emotionally disabled).  An ever-growing percentage of our youth now choose to remain at home with their parents indefinitely.  The parent-victims have been played like a violin by their offspring, conditioned to believe they are financially and emotionally helpless, incapable of surviving independently.  The parents are terrified of the unbearable guilt they would carry if they were to send them packing.  The parents’ acceptance and acquiescence constitute the sanction of the victim.  Consequently, the parents become the victims of their own cowardice.

The sanction of the victim in the public or political realm expresses itself in two principal forms: participation in popular democratic processes, including elections, and acknowledging, approving, and extending respect and kindness toward our political exploiters (i.e. elected officials, their many toadies, and the supportive media).

Participating in the political process in all its forms constitutes the sanction of the victim. Again, you are an accessory to the crime, a victim of the crimes in which you are an active, but ignorant participant.  You are in effect abating the crimes of the political elite.  All of these things send the wrong message to the criminals and reprobates that comprise the political class.   Voting, attending political rallies, and perhaps worst of all, sending them money, constitute the sanction of the victim.  We are telling the political class, “We approve of your system.  Even though you’re robbing us blind and crushing our Constitutional liberties, we still like you.  Even though you’re corrupt beyond words, you are nevertheless lovable thugs, and we could not begin to fathom or contemplate life without you.

So how do we beat these people?  Democracy and every form of representative government based on popular consent with constitutional constraints is the god that failed.  We are told that political apathy and disengagement is to blame.  I disagree.  Disengagement is the solution, not the problem.  The sanction of the victim only reinforces the problem, whether it’s a bad marriage or a corrupt, tyrannical government.

Here is the Three-Step Program for defanging the snake.

DON’T VOTE.  As political satirist P.J. O’Rourke said, “Don’t vote, it only encourages them.” Elections change nothing systemically.  They only decide who gets to pick your pocket and hold the boot over your neck.  What difference would it have made if slaves had been allowed to elect their plantation overseers?  When you vote you’re doing the same thing.

When has there ever been an election that gives you the choice of A, B, or none of the above?  Hmmm?  Never.  Wouldn’t it be great to live in a voting district with no legislator, no congressman, no senator, no one to suck up to?  Yes, but you don’t have that option.  But you can refuse to be part of the whole scam by not voting.  So don’t vote.  Look, you’re being used like a cheap condom.  Furthermore, the odds of you casting the deciding vote are far less than the odds of your winning the Big Lotto.  In fact, the odds of your being involved in a fatal car accident en route to the polling place are far greater than the odds of casting the deciding vote.  When you vote, you are sanctioning the system, its leaders and their crimes.

Voting is just a bad habit.  Like all bad habits, it is self-defeating.  Moreover, it serves to reinforce the bad habits of your tormentors.  I gave up voting and smoking over 30 years ago.  Both healthy choices, and among the most liberating and empowering I had ever made.

I remember a popular saying when I was young: Imagine if they held a war and nobody showed up.  Well, imagine if they held an election and nobody showed up.  Talking about sending the political class a message !

STOP TREATING POLITICIANS WITH KINDNESS.  What do politicians crave more than power?  Attention.  Attention is their drug of choice.  Indeed, politicians must seek the affirmation and approbation and applause of those whom they would never invite into their homes, have a beer with, or call their friends.  In other words people like you and me.  They have nothing but scorn and contempt for us.  And besides, they’re corrupt beyond words.  So what do we do?  We cram into public auditoriums to catch a glimpse of their faces and suck up their lies like a cat does a saucer of warm milk.  We reach out to grasp their hands as though they were the healing hands of a divine savior.  If you came home from work to find a burglar carrying your possessions out of your house, would you shake his hands and wish him well?  No, you’d call the cops, maybe even beat him up.  Why do we treat politicians any differently when they steal our money every day?  If we started denying politicians the attention and approval they so crave, maybe they’d consider getting an honest living.

A few years ago, on my way to work, our district congressman was shaking hands with us commoners at a Metro station in his district.  Half asleep, I shook his hand and actually wished him well.  Not five seconds later, I realized what a dumb-ass I was—shaking hands with a common criminal, a guttersnipe, a reprobate, a predator, a public parasite.  There I was, extending my best wishes to high-ranking political leader who bore direct responsibility for the mess we found ourselves in.  Would you shake hands with a cat-burglar, a serial rapist, a pedophile?  No, of course not, so why would you shake hands with a politician?

So, take the pledge.  When a politician reaches to shake your hand, act like the person has a communicable disease (what we used to call the “cooties”).  Take your hand back as quickly as possible, and say something pithy like, “No, thank you. When you sleep with dogs, you get fleas.  Don’t ever try to shake my hand again.”  If more of us started treating politicians with the disdain and contempt they deserve, they might begin to consider a more respectable line of work.

3-REFUSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROCESS AT ANY LEVEL.  A good friend of mine is constantly urging me and everyone else he knows to “get involved.  It’s the only way we can fix things.”

As Sherman Potter would say, “Horsehockey !”  What sort of track record does popular participation have compared to apathy and disengagement?  None.  Politicians have always used elections and every form of democratic process to sanction and justify the criminal enterprise we call government.  It just gives them cover.  Government is, and has always been, nothing more than an organized crime syndicate, a protection racket sanctioned by the many forms of popular approval—which Ayn Rand called the sanction of the victim.

So, stay home, focus on your beautiful family, your kids’ Little League and soccer games.  Spend quality time with your friends.  Work at your hobbies, do crossword puzzles, listen to a symphony, read a good book, take your spouse and kids to the movies.  Watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  Return the ladder you borrowed from your neighbor seven years ago.  Clean out your fridge, there’s probably stuff in there since you were in grammar school.  Take your grandkids to the playground.  Have a glass of champagne with your breakfast cornflakes.  Tell your kid to rake the leaves while you nap in a hammock.  Go to church, bake brownies, take your dog for a walk; mow the lawn; clean out your gutters; weed the garden, shovel the snow in your driveway.  Be at peace with your Maker, whatever you imagine him to be.  But whatever you do, avoid politicians like stray dogs.

Why Do Democrats Cheat ?

There is ample evidence for those who care to see it, that the Presidential election was stolen.  Peter Navarro’s report, entitled “The Immaculate Deception: Six Key Dimensions of Election Irregularities,” is also a must read. 

My question is: Why is the fraud always on one side?   Why do Democrats cheat? 

The population has never been more polarized. Conservatives and regressives (they are not progressive and they are not liberal) no longer worship the same God, share the same values, honor the same heroes and history, or agree on the meaning of human existence.  We also no longer share a view of the nature and purposes of government.  

This country was founded on shared Judeo-Christian beliefs.  Even without a common religion, we still shared basic beliefs that our rights and responsibilities are ordained by Almighty God.  It’s spelled out in our Founding document, the Declaration of Independence:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.– That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

Those of us who respect the Founding Father’s understanding of God-given rights respect their vision of limited government that follows from that. Our rights come from God, not from government.  It has become clear that Democrats do not believe this.  Democrats believe that our rights come from government.  Therefore, government can decide what rights we have, can grant new rights and take away rights at the will of those in power.  Take the “universal right to healthcare” for example.  This is not a right in the sense that we believe in rights. God does not operate a healthcare system and grant universal access.  God-given rights do not impose burdens on others.   Government-granted “rights” force people into involuntary servitude in order to provide them.

Once you come to grips with this moral divide it becomes easier to understand why Democrats cheat.   For if you believe that rights come from government it is a very short jump to “the ends justify the means.”  If what you believe is that more government power and control means more rights it becomes understandable that for Democrats anything goes and win by any means necessary.   

John Adams warned us: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
